Not worth the money
Location was very good. Right off the haymarket stop.
The bed was awful. Swallowed you whole as soon as you laid down. Shower had zero pressure.
Pleasant receptionist. Good location right opposite bus stop for airport and in centre of town.
Tatty furniture and decor, shared shower room with no separate toilet, over 40 stairs with no lift, no wardrobe, traffic noise.
I only stayed during the day and all I can say is that the hotel looked fine in the first look but later I saw the room and other issues happened which made my stay not very pleasant.
I couldn't sleep at night because of many bugs and spiders, I left my room and went to airport and slept in the airport.
I found the hotel to have friendly staff,10 minute walk to city centre or by bus, stop 50yds from front door.Rooms clean but small but fine for a short stay.Would definately go back.Breakfast was good,Full Scottish.
Very friendly service excellent surroundings delicious breakfast
it was all good
The location of the hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and everything from crockery to towels and bedding was spotless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
My daughters single room was rather small and the window was open (about 3 inches) and wouldn't close, maybe for ventilation, but this made her feel abit nervous on a night but luckily the room was on the top floor.
Excellent service, very pleasant staff, near the main tourist spots.
I did inform you when I booked the hotel ,that it was was for my son who was going to see a show.and that he was a vegetarian. When he went for breakfast they had no idea and nothing vegetarian prepared only could offer him eggs and tomato. Who is to blame is anyone's guess. He did have a pleasant stay and was amazed with his room and service.so much so, that I am going to book the same hotel myself for a short stay.
Very comfortable bed. Convenient location opp Haymarket railway station.
I stayed in The Guard Room. Breakfast staff don't start until 8.30am, I needed to pick a hired car up by 9am so I couldn't get a breakfast. Most places I've stayed at start breakfasts from 7.30am. Floor of room was dirty and stained. No window in room or bathroom so therefore room was very stuffy with no natural air(this was not mentioned on their website when booking). The kettle lead wasn't long enough to reach the shelf where the kettle was so I had to boil the kettle on the floor. The bathroom wasn't cleaned because there was still the liquid soap container from the previous occupier present. The tv had no remote control.
Excellent comfortable bed and linen Excellent shower Breakfast very good, large cup for tea!
Window not openable on a hot day and night
