Kyoto hotels near Chion-in Temple

Pros: Very impress for staff at concierge office. Our travelling plan went smoothly by assistance from concierge staff. This was our 3 times staying at the hotel and we will definitely book the hotel again when we visit Kyoto.

Pros: This hotel is part of the JR hotel group the hotel has very helpful staff who speak English well. The location can't be beat. It is central and easy to go any where from this location. Rooms are quiet and well serviced.

Pros: The hotel is super chic with very helpful staff. Most everyone speaks English, which is always nice. The room was very cozy and the hot spring in the basement was amazing!! Great showers and very comfortable bed.

Pros: Well equipped room with pretty much everything you need, also they have a cute speaker for your ears which I’m so impressed

Pros: I loved it! It was in a great spot for bus and train transportation. The room was GREAT! The staff was awesome! I would recommend adding the breakfast into the stay. I wish I had.

Pros: The location just across the street from Kyoto station was fabulous. Also close to shopping and some of the major sights. The bed was good and firm. They had CNN on TV.

Pros: Business hotel..mostly small rooms..I got a great one on 14th floor..two queen beds..three windows..views! All because they made a mistake... Third time I have stayed here. All non smoking.. Great staff..good English..well trained!

Pros: It was a comfortably sized room. Pretty decent location. Check in staff spoke English and check in and check out was a breeze. There are plenty of restaurants near by and the Fresh Mart at the end of the block was great.

Pros: Stayed at 2 Mystays this trip, Tokyo & Kyoto. Good wired/wifi speed, ok bfast, cramp rooms. Equate Mystays to Starbucks, reliable but better bang for the Yen is nearby w/ a bit of research. Richmond in Yokohama was great and 4 star Tokyo deals abound.

Pros: Hotel Monterey Kyoto is located near Gion, the main shopping area in Kyoto, and walking distance to Maruyuma Park, Pontocho Alley, and Nishiki Market. It is a block from the Karasuma Oike station, which is only a few stops from the Kyoto Station. As a tourist, this hotel is well located, considering many of the temples are best reached via bus. Our room felt extremely clean with modern decor. Though space was tight, it was manageable for two people. Everyone we spoke to was very accommodating, polite and helpful. We never heard sounds coming from other rooms.

Pros: Great location and great service. I was staying with my family. We were very comfortable and had relax. Breakfast was delicious, too. I want to stay this hotel if I have a chance to visit Kyoto again.
