Comfortable stay, fantastic staff
Brilliant location, a warm cookie welcome and superb staff especially Jemeya Jefferson and the Friday's team. (Also a good healthy breakfast to be had there).
Place is a little worn but will soon be undergoing renovation.
The staff were very nice.
Water pressure was nearly non existent and very little hot water. Also, a .20 bottle of complimentary water would go a long way to being more hospitable (maybe I could have washed my hair with one!). The restaurant/bar is a TGI Friday’s (check out their Yelp reviews). I went in and the entire place smelled like human feces, seriously it was disgusting, I had to leave after 15 seconds.
Location was excellent , clean and the bed was very comfortable.
No safe or microwave and it needs a upgrade in my opinion.
Doubletree Downtown Memphis
ONly a few blocks walk from the hub of downtown music scene. Hotel is clean and the receiption was very quick and helpful. TGF is attached to the hotel but service was aweful. Much better places to eat downtown. Room was old but clean and bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night. The main lobby is quite nice and very open. Attractively decorated. Parking is Valet and secure or you can park down the street but it is not secure.
The price for the type of room we had. Obviously the rates are high because of the location but don’t expect it to look like a Marriotte or the convienences of one. No safe in the room. Other wise for an overnight stay it was fine.
I was on the 10th floor by the elevators and heard compressor noises all night long - horrible.
Mattress and linen was amazing! Best night's sleep I've had in a while!
Getting in to valet park was a little crowded and had to wait but well worth the wait!
Great location. Nice hotel.
Small double beds.
Easy to get around. Food was good. Close to other restaurants
No safe, or refrigerator
Met my needs.
The price was reasonable, overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. There is a Friday's restaurant inside which makes for a nice option. The pool is small but clean and adequate. The front desk people were very helpful.
The bathtub drain was clogged and slow to drain so one ended standing in quite a bit of sudsy water when showering. I did let them know at checkout; hopefully they fixed it for the next guests.
Friendly staff, accommodating, great customer service!!
Cleanliness of rooms needs improvement, and bathrooms need a bit remodeling. Bathtub tile was dirty and old, fixtures were old, paint on door was peeling off.
The location, the room was clean.
The room was humid, also bathroom ceiling was peeling and had slight water damage. Items in room (lamps, etc), seemed to be placed there and didn't really have a function (lamp missing bulb, only obe night stand, etc). Also the decor and color choices made the room feel dated and unwelcoming.
The location of the hotel. Very close to Beale St. and places to shop.
Parking could have been a little more obtainable.
The location was great for downtown Memphis.
The comfort and cleanliness of the room were under par. It's like they coast on their location and don't try vary hard to make the rooms clean and customer friendly.
Staff was very nice, breakfast was wonderful, very clean, very confortable, quiet while still very close to downtown... + free wifi
