Total getaway
We loved that Soho Beach House had everything we wanted. The best food in Miami is there. We left only once for a meal in 4 days and we never do that. The staff is attentive without being snobby.
The beach is more narrow where the hotel is located. It was not a huge deal because we enjoyed the pool(s) more.
Soho Beach House is part club, part hotel, all in a restored building from the art deco era. It is located right on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, offering exclusive luxury without the required membership. Rooms are all designed in either a retro 1950’s theme or a European theme, all featuring the latest in technology and modern conveniences. Some rooms feature ocean views and soaking tubs. Nonmembers are not allowed to take photos or have cell phones in public spaces throughout the house.
This hotel features an 8th floor pool that comes complete with waiter service, as well as a rooftop taqueria and bar. There is a beautiful garden restaurant onsite, as well as a Cuban coffee bar, complete with cigars. Guests also enjoy a full-service spa, fitness center, and even a screening room. A business center is available for business travelers, as well. Soho Beach House even offers private hire services for special events, corporate meetings, and other needs. Valet parking is available for guests, while some areas of the house are exclusive to members only.
Nearby, guests can find all of the best nightlife, dining, and entertainment available in Miami Beach. The Lincoln Road Mall is just two miles away. Visitors also enjoy the Miami Beach Golf Club, the Miami City Ballet, and other cultural attractions located within minutes of Soho Beach House. Of course, at an exclusive beach house like this, a getaway from the rest of the world is usually what most people need.

The Beachside Bedrooms are among the most coveted at this hotel, with comfortable furnishings, oversized bathrooms with tubs, and ocean views. For the best views, opt for a Beachside 1 or 2 room, which are located on the top floors of the tower building and also offer the most spacious accommodations. In addition to floor-to-ceiling windows with sea views, guests can enjoy comfortable ocean-facing terraces with couches, cushions and coffee tables.
Breakfast at this hotel is served a la carte, with a range of healthy options on offer. Choose from the likes of eggs, homemade granola, bagels or fresh fruit salads, plus a range of hand-pressed juices and smoothie bowls. On the weekend, guests can enjoy a luxurious brunch menu that incorporates sweet treats as well as pizzas and seafood mains.
The hotel’s Cowshed spa is the perfect place to unwind and offers a menu of signature treatments as well as products to take away. Guests can enjoy bespoke body therapies, massages tailored to one of six "moods", a rejuvenating facial that uses an oxygen gun to replenish your skin, or a cryotherapy treatment. The spa is also pleased to offer a range of pre- and post-pregnancy treatments that use specially created spa products.
If you’re planning on hosting a private dinner party, the hotel has several spaces available to suit your needs. The private dining room has sweeping ocean views and can serve an intimate dinner for up to 12 people, while the cozy Library room can seat up to 45 guests and also features a wrap-around terrace. Several other venues, such as the Penthouse and Roof Terrace, can also be booked for those wishing to host a larger event or drinks reception.
Getting from Miami International Airport to the hotel is a matter of minutes, especially if you opt to take a taxi. When taking a cab you can choose to use the meter or pay a flat rate of approximately $35 to Miami Beach; the journey should take around 20m. To save some money, you can also use a door-to-door SuperShuttle service, which costs around $25 for the first passenger and $12 for every other rider in the same party. Public transport is also available in the form of a bus-and-trolley combination, but this will take considerably longer than driving.
There is plenty of outdoor lounging space at the hotel and no need to reserve – the private beach comes with deck chairs already reserved for members and their guests, and the entire main pool is flanked by daybeds. Resort staff are on hand to help with any additional requests you may have, from extra towels and loungers to food and beverage orders. (Prices checked 21/05/19).
