Excellent 10.0
Pros: JR my host was wonderful He prepared me a specialized vegetarian breakfast paying close attention to my diet preferences. The space was cozy and clean and the location was perfect close to restaurants and the metro. It was located a short walk from my meeting location which was ideal. Especially enjoyed JR's stories about the history of Gite Ocoin and his family connections. Overall a great B & B choice when visiting Montreal.
Cons: Everything exceeded my expectations. Nothing to flag for improvement.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jean was an amazing host. When we arrived, he gave us the tour of the place. Told us the backstory of the band and why he started it. Right from the get go he pulled out a map and gave us tons of amazing reccomendations to the city. Breakfasts were wonderful and the room was cozy and comfortable. Beautiful experiece. Lived every minute of it.
Cons: Loved every minute of our stay. It was an exceptional experience!

Pros: Our host JR is a terrific person , friendly, cheerful & very accommodating. The room was very clean, the shower water hot , the bed comfortable & the breakfast delicious.
Cons: A little to far to walk to the city’s cultural attractions ( just take an Uber )
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Brilliant!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure talking with our host, JR. He gave us a map of the city and helped us with subway and bus routes to take to the park and Old Town. He also gave us dining options for dinner.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jean Rene is a wonderful host and welcomes you with enthusiasm and endless knowledge of Montreal! The accommodations are excellent and the food is fantastic.....a wonderful stay!

Good 7.0
Pros: The location was perfect as it was close to the village and the Metro.
Cons: The comforters and extra blankets had stains on them.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved the place. Very clean Great location, close to subway station, walking distance to Old Montreal. The concierge is a lovely person.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was great. Everything was provided and you made what you wanted. Location is excellent. About 3 minute walk to St Catharines St. and the Metro.
Cons: Nothing could have been better. Our host was amazing and so was our entire stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast was a perfect place to stay to see Montreal. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and even though it’s close to everything it is very quiet. Great place at a great price. Highly recommended!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm welcoming, great location, beautiful design and art work, clean and provided all neede to stay comfortable
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The hosts are really friendly and nice. They texted me offering instructions before I arrived. Very warm place, close to metro station. There are coffee, tea and pastries.
Cons: Nothing!
Good 7.0
Pros: Because it was a BNB, I was expecting a served, hot breakfast. But, we were only provided a continental breakfast. The location was good, but on the website it said that there was parking. There is not any designated parking, except parking on the street, which you had to plan around. That added stress to our stay.
Cons: The mattress was not comfortable, and the pillows were flat. The washroom was so tiny. It even had a split door which was tricky to close. There was no room to put anything in the bathroom. They could make the bathroom bigger by taking up room in the room adjacent to it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Soundproof walls and window, aircon, breakfast (it`s really hard to find a stay with breakfast during this freaking covid time), backyard.
Cons: There is not enough light in the room in my taste, but my husband wouldn`t confirm. It`s just my taste. Rather strange bed, as pillows lay on a shelf, but it didn`t bother us in sleep. We definitly will stay there again and recommend this place to our friens.
Good 6.0
Pros: Location and the room was well appointed. It was great having the walkout to the beautiful courtyard. That was amazing. The owner was great.
Cons: The room was not as clean as it could have been and the bed was rock hard. Not what I am accustom to.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I mentioned it was for our anniversary. They upgraded our room. Had a happy anniversary card for us and chocolates, courtesy of the staff. Overall very well treated, the food was great We took the valet parking so as not to worry about street parking.
Cons: Honestly nothing negative to say.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: This was a beautiful stay in a historical hotel. The room balanced old and modern styles beautifully. The view of the Old Port out our window was awesome, and being steps away from the shopping and food was excellent.
Cons: There was no regular coffee in the room, and the bed was too soft.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and very nice staff
Okay 4.0
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Staffs were not welcome. They didn’t even explain Covid-19 policy. Room was not clean. There was hair on the floor. We just paid lots of money to stay at room.
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were especially helpful in identifying restaurants and bars to visit.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Hubby gave me a two night stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal for a Christmas present. It couldn’t have been better. We arrived on a Monday and after a bit of difficulty finding a place to park, checked in. The hotel staff were simply amazing. Every one from the cleaning staff to the valet were probably the most accommodating and kind and gave the impression that they really liked their jobs. We were surprised with a room upgrade to a king river view on the fifth floor-#503-ask for it. Ultra clean, very comfy bed, coffee maker in room and good toiletries. A HUGE shower with multiple jets no tub though but that was fine with us. The hotel has a bar pub that serves up pub fare. I had an excellent burger and great thin fries and hubby had the fish and chips. Both were quite large portions and the staff cheerfully accommodated some changes and ommisions. The best part is that the hotel is located centrally in Vieux-Port Port and between Isle de la Commune road and the famous and beautiful Rue St Paul. Fabulous restaurants and shops made it difficult to choose. Parking is off site and costs 25$ per night to self park or $35 for valet parking in a covered garage. We loved every minute in spite of the bone jarring cold and snow.....it just made it more magical. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Offsite parking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Housed in an old port building, the modernized property combines the best of the old with contemporary updates. Riverfront views with the attractions of the Old Port just a block away, it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. We stayed for a long weekend as the season was just winding down and thought the setting was romantic, service was delightful and amenities just right.
Cons: The walls were a bit thin, we could hear our neighbors clomping around in heels and could very easily hear conversation. This was all Day time stuff and didn’t have interrupted sleep at all.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Convenient location for walking.
Cons: There was a line at the check in/out desk. ONE employee, and she was sitting the entire time. Both when i checked in and out. There is ONE elevator, which was always so packed and with a line that the only time i used it was to carry our bags up to the room. Its noisy as hell there, 3am noisy as hell. The thermostat wouldnt work. Had something written on the knob to adjust the temps, but we were sweating to death all night, and into the morning. Roll away bed was not comfortable. And all this for nearly $500 US dollars a night?
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Unique architecture (we had a floor to ceiling beam in the middle of our room tastefully painted to match the decor) and the food was great. Location exceptional for exploring Old Montreal. All in all a very nice experience.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very stylish and well located. Staff friendly.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Excellent 9.4
Cons: The lofts- I was informed via email following my prepayment of my three night stay- doesn't include daily housekeeping. This isn't the biggest issue, but there's no going down to the lobby for breakfast- the lofts are in a separate building. On the upside, the room is more like a large studio apartment. The room is well appointed and the kitchen is thoughtfully and thoroughly stocked. Though there is no minim-bar or snacks, there is a full-size frig, stove, cookware, etc.,etc. Overall, it's an excellent value.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a great stay! the lofts are really nice, spacious, clean and have everything you need. The location is just perfect, right in the center of old Montreal and the staff is super friendly! Would stay here again!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: I think everything went well.
Cons: Nothing to mention
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Large comfortable room, plenty of space to work.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Valet parking employees were very attentive and reactive. They were working very hard and they were the very first impression we seen when arriving. For sure coming back!
Cons: We asked for bathrobes on three separate occasions and they never arrived. Called the front desk twice, and on the last day tried to lure the housekeeping person with $10 and a little note. They cleaned the room, took the tip, but didn’t leave any robes. Not the end of the world, but it was three misses all for the same thing. I will bring my own robe next time.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: Rooms are not anything special or exceptionally clean. Quite dusty. The location is great during the day but can be quite loud late into the night. Service is second rate at best. Other than the location and common areas by lobby, this hotel has no business qualifying itself as first rate.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Overall great hotel in a superb location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect location and great amenities. Stunning and fun rooftop. Overall fantastic experience.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The service was nice and it was my birthday and the rooms are nicely insilated
Good 6.0
Pros: excellent location room was good / clean// bed comfortable / onsite parking
Cons: a/ca little too loud /breakfast little choice
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location and staff were amazing.
Cons: The breakfast and breakfast area was terrible. I never eaxperince that. The area didn’t get clean pice of food were on tables and floor even to the 2nd day of our stay which we left and had breakfast outside of the hotel. And breakfast!!!! I talked to Conciarge and I said, well clearly management trying to save money, ok, why you guys even serve breakfast!!! Piece of oily egg and sussage with nasty, cheep coffee!!!! Not even piece of toast, bread, forget about croissants. Honestly it was really really cheep, happy we decided to leave. Also our 1st room 602 was amazing but second day the sink got issues and AC stopped working called Conciarge someone came checked for less than a minute they offer us to change room. Which wasn’t easy 11pm. But thats okay. So far we found it helpful. But OMG room 320 had exact same issue with sink. Plus bathroom door was getting stuck and really really hard and noisy to open!!! So if someone was using it would wake up everyone else. Room had no lights at all. It was sad also. Wish I had better experience over there.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The breakfast was out of stock of lots of things like cereal, muffins and milk. Also choice was very minimal
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and very friendly stuff. Breakfast was inclooded which was good bonus as I didn't expect it. Also we arrived earlier check in time and got room right away. I would recoment it.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Great location
Cons: Poor service Awful parking- very narrow spots- my car has been damaged Called reception for bottle of water, told to come down to pay, when I got there just took my room number- so what was the point if forcing me to go to the lobby! The number of towels were less than then number of guests!!! They will give you the minimum possible customer service!
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Location was fantastic. Staff was extremely helpful and everything was very clean. I found the bed to be very comfortable
Cons: The heater/air conditioner unit was extremely loud. I had a hard time sleeping the first night. At first it seemed to blow cold air. As the temperature got better though the noise didn't. These types of things don't ususally bother me. If they are a constant drone, it is white noise. But, this would turn off for about 5 seconds at a time and then blast on again, startling me each time. I don't think anything was broken, and the termperature was comfortable, but the noise was pretty insane.
Okay 5.4
Pros: good location
Cons: very noisy window ac unit that was annoying which made it hard to sleep

Excellent 9.3
Pros: Owner(?) was very friendly and flexible with us overall; went a bit extra to make our stay comfortable. Nice room, had everything we wanted and could expect at a chain hotel. This is a very small place, only a handful of rooms, so it was quiet and pleasant. Glassware and misc for drinks in the atrium, lovely back patio for working or relaxing, and it's conveniently a block or two (off the beaten path) from the start of a major dining/nightlife area. Oh, and breakfast was a meal voucher for this amazing cafe at the entrance to that area and was probably the best 'hotel breakfast' any of us had ever had
Cons: Only one set of keys per room meant we had to really coordinate for our group of 4, but it wasn't that bad

Good 7.0
Pros: This property was very clean. They give you a fob key to come and go as there is no reception. Quiet and calm atmosphere . The neighbourhood had charm considering it was considered a very rough area 15 years ago. Staff and owners were friendly and helpful but mainly by phone .
Cons: Room was chilly due to A/C but I personally sleep better in cooler rooms. Rooms are small but considering price and fact I wasn’t planning on staying in room all day this was no big deal. There is a vending machine in lieu of breakfast due to Covid as explained to me by owner.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The façade of the building and interior design in a part of public area.
Cons: The sink was clogged and there was a filthy stain on the washroom wall that I washed off myself. I gave the lowest mark for the staff because they were practically invisible and hard to reach due to working remotely.
Good 6.0
Pros: The Internet was decent. The size of the room was adequate.
Cons: A clogged sink during the second stay, albeit different room. Dirty bed sheets.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Clean, organized, compact. Good tv and high ceiling
Cons: Stuffy rooms, had to open the windows for some ventilation. Also there’s no staff inside the building! It’s very unsafe especially at nights or for women travelling alone. No extra towels or toiletries as well. The room service lady did visit every morning but that’s about it.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The price...maybe
Cons: Room was very small even though the ceiling was very high, which contributed to the overall spaciousness feeling. The room we had was pretty clean, but very dated, desperately needing renovation. There was a whole in the wall covered with tape. House keeping knocked and entered the same moment, while we were in bed. There is never aybody on the reception, you have to call to check in, check out or with any question you might have. Upon check in, we waited and then called to have anybody out, waited for like 10 mins to be checked in. The guy kept asking for my bank card, not explaining any reasons he needed the card for, this was very strange as we have already paid for the room.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Free parking in the front.
Cons: AC in the room did not work. Temperature was unbearable on a hot summer day. And lots of noise in the hallway that can be heard in the rooms
Excellent 8.5
Pros: I loved the quaint and charming atmosphere of this hotel. The owners are very hospitable and helpful.
Cons: The street noise if you stay at the room facing the street.
Good 6.0
Pros: Small quaint rooms - very old but clean, hot showers, comfortable beds, perfect for single traveler on a budget, good jogging trail, close to St. Lawrence river
Cons: Room very small for two adults, breakfast was just toast, cereal, coffee and juice, parking was very tight, Monday to Friday cannot park in front of hotel from 7:00 - 9:00 am, very industrial part of city

Okay 5.0
Cons: Looks old and neglicted
Okay 5.0
Pros: The location was great if your looking to visit the Le Stud Bar. Breakfast was just muffins and croissants from costco, no fruit (unless it was in the fridge and I didn't check)
Cons: The quality of coffee was bad
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the televisions were modern. Very clean with daily housekeeping service available if you want it. The location is wonderful - close to the SAQ, Metro grocery, Papineau Station, and within walking distance to Old Montreal. The hotel is also situated within the east border of The Village. One of my favourite places is just steps away - a cute cafe called La Mie Matinale serving up baguette sandwiches, daily soups, homemade pastries, and excellent coffee.
Cons: There are some shady characters in the hotel, but they are harmless. I have never felt endangered when I stayed there.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice setup

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The tub was amazing. The size of the room was perfect. And having a nice balcony pulled it all together.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing ♡
Cons: All the room was dirty. The carpet was dirty. We can see hand printe on the wall and on the window. The bathroom was dirty...
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The hot tub was amazing , the workers were amazing and so nice. The room was comfy and really clean It was great
Cons: A lot of noise from outside, Tv had not a lot of channels
Good 6.0
Pros: I enjoyed da spa
Good 6.0
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. Near Subway. Walk distance to main events
Cons: Facility outdated
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: very rude staff
Okay 5.1
Pros: Room was somewhat clean but you get what you pay for. Located only 2k from old Montreal.
Cons: They rent by the hour! A hooker asked if she could use our room because the hotel was full at the time AC stopped working at 1am and the widows don’t have screens. The AC also dropped into the room but don’t worry they have a garbage can to catch the water. There is very limited street parking after 6pm but we were warned by the hotel it wasn’t very safe. Park at own risk
Good 7.7
Pros: The location is right off the main strip of St Catherine - however the room was clean and the owners were wonderful. If you're simple and easy to please, this place can save you money and it's not that bad of a compromise at all.
Cons: There can be some shady looking individuals that are contstantly askin for change on the steps of the place. There where a couple mosquitos in my room upon arrival. The AC unit is a movable ground unit that connects to the only window in the room. Door to the bathroom would not close.
