Good location & comfortable
Overall very good, location, Very good breakfast & clean.
The TV was not working. It had been unplugged. I had to move the large dresser to find out that it was unplugged & then plug it back in.
Great staff, perfect location
The staff was awesome, the location was the best in town and free parking
Pool opens at 10 am, too late, and closes at 10 pm way too early
Clifton Victoria Inn
Overall, the room seemed mostly clean, but very dated. The bed was huge and very clean. Amenities were minimal, but the staff was friendly and very helpful to this first time traveler to Niagara Falls. There was a convention of cheerleaders the weekend I was there and they kindly put me in a honeymoon suite away frim the noise. The location can't be beat. It's right across the street from the Clifton Hill entertainment district and about a 10 minute walk to the Falls. Lots of places to eat, even if you are like me with lots of dietary restrictions. The in house free breakfast is standard hotel issue, but nice to have on busy days.
Some of the towels were slightly dirty and there was mold on the shower curtain. The swimming pool and the whirlpool are inside the front entrance (same place as the breakfast and check-in), so it's very hot and humid in that space. It also smells of chlorine everywhere in the hotel. For this reason, I think, the air conditioner was on the whole time (even though I had turned the room unit to heat, because it was snowing outside)! The room never smelled of chlorine though. The TV reception was also spotty at best, but ultimately not an issue, as I was out most of the time. The elevators are a little slow, but very cool, one being glass and facing the inside of the lobby.
I booked room in Nov. 2014. The hotel was close to many attractions in Niagara Falls, and at a reasonable walking distance from the Falls. It is clean, modern, offers a decent breakfast and the room we had was very good. The beds were quite comfortable. Its indoor facilities include a pool, Jaccuzzi and sauna. One of its main advantage is the free parking, which in NF is a big deal! Overall, definitely a recommendable hotel. On week-ends, expect families with kids that will monopolize the pool and Jacuzzi at certain times.
Can't think of anything!
Not bad but too expensive for the services
It was right in the heart of downtown and was so easy to go everywhere on foot. No added expense for taxi's or parking.
The only critique I could give is that the pool was not open as late as I would have liked. It closed at 10 p.m.
My bf and I stayed here for only one night in a whirlpool room. The room also had a fireplace which was nice and worked great. The entire room was VERY clean it was a great stay. Upon our arrival we were at the ice machine and saw a cleaning lady delivering a fridge to another room, since we were filling up on a tonne of ice she asked if we would like one in our room, she found a fridge and delivered it to our room immediatly! The pool is in a weird location but that didnt bother us and we didnt use it anyway. Hotel is right beside Nightmares and accross the street from Nigara Casino and a waterpark. We would definatly go back to this hotel!
It was to light at night, all the lights were on outside the windows which made it hard to sleep
Huge room, great location
Very loud air conditioner, no refrigerator in room, poor quality hot breakfast items
I liked the second bedroom
the location - it was central and near to the Niagara Falls but nevertheless our room was quiet and peaceful.Unual swimming pool set-up in the receptiion area.
Our rooms did not have a window opening to the outside - only onto the corridor outside the room - hence it felt somewhat claustrophobic. The breakfast area was very crowded and a bit chaotic.
Clean, great staff, nice lobby.
No exercise room
The room was large and bright and extremely clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was less than a 5 min walk from Cliffton Hill and was close to dining and shopping. It was a great stress-free weekend away for my husband and I...we parked our car in the parking lot and didn't have to take it out again until it was time to go home.
Many of the rooms face the lobby, which holds the pool and dinning area. It did become loud at about 2:30 in the morning, because the floors are tile and it was echo. The signs around the hotel ask for guests to respect those sleeping, and if you are inthe lobby area to please stay quiet after 10pm, however it did not seem like that rule was enforced at all.
Though room was clean, windows were very dirty si having a front view was useless. We have stayed at this location several times but find that we are still located in a very poor room considering repeat customers.
