Helpful staff, great location and view.
I am reluctant to ever again stay at an IHG property. I really took offense at what I felt were dishonest pricing tactics. When you are on the website and select a room, you are quoted a price. In my case, it was around $90. But as you progress through the booking process, you soon discover there is in fact no room available for any such rate as the $90. To that is added taxes, which I concede is out of the hotel's hands, but also a very bogus "resort fee." Here is the hotel's description: Service charge includes Resort Fee and Local Fee & Taxes. Resort Fee includes Wi Fi access with endless devices, unlimited long distance calls from your room to anywhere in USA and Canada, unlimited local calls, 2 bottles of water per day, printing of boarding passes, 2 Wego tickets (this state-of-the-art bus system connects accommodations and tourism attractions throughout the city at Niagara Falls and Niagara Parks-24 hours retail value $14), a e-Family portrait at Hershey Chocolate World, and sampling for 2 at Niagara Brewing Company. For my three-day stay I was charged $54 in "resort fees." This was outrageous because I neither used nor wanted any of the services except wi-fi, which I was told was free anyway, and one bottle of water. Yes -- a $54 bottle of water. Advertising on the webpage a $90 room when none exists is offensive and should be illegal. Crowne Plaza charged me about $106 a night for my $90 room. Thanks to Crowne Plaza I am a wiser traveler now, and will decline to patronize hotels that are not honest about their room rates.
Nice clean place
Didnt have microwave and fridge, which I really needed. And it is a far walk to the big falls, still a nice view tho.
The view from restaurant
Breakfast was very poor quality for the money you pay We paid extra to stay three adults in our room. But coffee for two and toiletries for one. We ordered room with falls view but looked out at the Rainbow bridge. Only standing at the window and looking to the right could we see the falls. The guy at P garage took forever to find proof that we had payed for parking although frontdesk had told us that their camera would read our license plate.
Shower was gross, it had someone else's long black hairs all over it. Toilet hardly flushed.
Location was amazing. Close to everything. Clean. Nice room. Great view.
The breakfasts was not very good.
Staff was very nice.
King size room was way too small.
Niagara Falls View
The room was a close walk to the falls our room could see the falls and fireworks It was close to anything you might need They gave us Bus Passes to visit other great sites the dinner in the restaurant was Excellent. The Gnochi dish was off the charts good. it is connected to anything you need, food, Gambling, water parks, parking etc.
The room was very small There wasn't enough room between the wall and bed to stand and get in bed, you had to enter from the bottom. Mold in the Bathroom and Bathroom was outdated. It was functionally difficult to use. The drain in the sink was busted and the shelf covered 1/2 the sink so brushing your teeth was difficult. . A room with 2 queens should accommodate the people and luggage associated, and it was very tight -The staff try to upsell everything. If your hotel includes breakfast for 2, the try to upsell you on the delux package. It's not service for service sake or to be a great hotel, but just another way to extract more money from you. -Dinner and breakfast was expensive and includes a "tourist tax" -We stayed in 6 hotels as we toured through Canada and although the view of the falls as great, it was our least favorite hotel of our trip.
Very bad service, we had no A/C
No mechanical staff to solve the problem and in the morning the just say sorry and detected 134$ only. We did not sleep the hale night. The A/C was not working
Room was upgraded and clean.
Room was smaller than we expected, for the price we paid.
Over priced. I payed more then most other guests. The rate I got was terrible. There was a hidden 30 dollar parking fee. The rooms were small and dirty. The tv's were small.
Closeness to falls, and the View was awesome. Building is older, has a wealth of history but this could be a bad/good thing depending on opinion.
Carpet throughout hotel is getting old.
