Pros: The grounds are spectacular - lush greenery and foliage, variety of flowers, manicured -they must have a team of scientists and gardeners to plan the landscaping year round. All amenities are included -bikes, climbing wall, sailing, kayaking. 24-hour pool and hot tub are a huge bonus, especially after a day and night of disney. The staff is equally incredible throughout the hotel. St. Augustine has been my favorite local weekend get-away, but now the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is IT! It may just win the competition between any of the Disney parks or just a relaxing, but activity filled day at the hotel for the best day of your vacation too! Breakfast buffet ($22) is great too - seems pricey, but the options are high end from ham, bacon, prosciutto, salami, variety of cheeses, sausages, yogurts, fruits ( melons and berries), pastries, artisan breads, omelets, oatmeal, boxed cereals, and then the usual scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, waffles, etc. Other food and grocery store options are literally within 5 miles. Room has "cool box" (small refrigerator without freezer) that keeps soda cold.

Pros: When the front desk found out it was our wedding night, they upgraded us for free to a 2-story suite with a outdoor patio at the very top of the hotel. There was a bottle of champagne and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. They were unbelievably nice. Best hotel experience ever!!!

Hyatt Staff are most accommodating! They address any complaint immediately and they put up with so much nonsense from crazy tenants from one convention to the next.

Early admission and bus transport to park made All the difference in our Harry Potter experience! There are gas stations, grocery stores, and eating establishments right outside the complex. The eating establishments on the complex serve good food. Pros: This hotel was great! We arrived a bit earlier than the 4pm check in but had no issues getting a key and the room was ready. I was expecting one standard room but it was actually a suite with a full kitchen, living room, bed room, and huge bathroom with a big bathtub. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Only noise I heard was some loud people walking through the hallway briefly in the morning. We didn't have a chance to check out any of the property amenities (one night stay) but I would like to stay here again in the future and see everything. My only issue was the kayak price was $71 but after all the taxes and fees it was $88. Upon arrival the hotel put a $100 hold on my card and charged an additional $11.25 as the resort fee. The hold was returned immediately to my card after checkout. I guess this probably happens at most hotels, I just wasn't expecting it but I would definitely stay here again! Btw we were not hassled to buy a time share (it was never even mentioned although I suspect that's what the blinking message on the room phone was about) and they gave us a coupon for a free photo book to create.

Pros: We stayed in was a single room with separate bedroom and sitting area, it was clean and the bed very comfortable,. We used this as our home base for traveling throughout the area and only stayed on the property three half days around the pool. There were enough utensils in the kitchen, fridge was clean and the convection microwave was a good addition. We elected to not have room service so the washer and dryer was also a good addition. Overall the room was comfortable for two people. It was also good that they had a quite pool, however you need to get there early if you are to have any chance of one of the poolside cabanas.

Pros: The 2 bedroom condo worked perfectly for the 6 of us. The mattress on the hide a bed was very comfortable since my kids don't complain. The pillows were hi quality and plenty in our room and there was everything you could want in the kitchen. The apt felt larger then some other 2bedroom condos we have stayed in in orlando.

Pros: I'm usually much more of a boutique hotel person, but I was meeting up with friends for a night and having a villa meant we could have another person sleep on the pullout couch. I am so glad we ended up here! It has the benefits of a resort without feeling too commercial. The pool (there are four but we only made it to one) is large and beautiful. There are games set up at the pool, a waterfall, and a pool bar. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. They give every guest a courtesy gift. It was so comfortable, we ended up not going out and instead getting a bottle of wine and relaxing on our large screened in porch. I highly recommend.

Pros: The hotel was clean, beautiful, perfectly located and top notch in every possible way. The only thing that out shined the hotel amenities was the staff. The staff went above and beyond to make our vacation special. The staff always greeted me by name from the first day I arrived. I also want to thank Steve (bell hop) for providing exceptional service and making me and my daughter feel like we were the only guests staying at the hotel. I can't say thank you enough. Rachel (server) was another wonderful staff person who went out of her way to make us feel like special guests. Thank you for helping create a lasting memory of a wonderful vacation!

The room was clean, the art was simple but enjoyable, especially the kids. Their was a TV in each room. The staff was friendly.
Lastly the pool, 4D movies, and Laser challenge made my kids stay there an awesome experience.

I understand that parking is at a premium for this area and the use of gates is understandable. There was another guest that got hit for the $15/day parking pass and for the use of the Disney shuttle that he did not use. Poor business practices. For our next trip to the area we will find other accommodations for that reason alone. Consider changing this policy. I will be contacting Sheraton corporate as well.

Pros: I am not sure why I have read any negative reviews regarding this place. Our experience was great and you simply can’t beat the excellent accommodations with spacious rooms for this price. While this resort offers timeshares, we were NEVER harassed or annoyed by any staff regarding this at any point. We were treated excellent for our entire stay and all staff did an extraordinary job making our stay awesome. Yes, the property is large but you can contact or wave down a complimentary resort shuttle any time you want. Our room was HUGE, and I was completely satisfied our entire trip. The place is very well cleaned and maintained. Staff is highly responsive to any request. Will definitely be staying again when traveling to Orlando. Highly recommended!
