Style, location, views.
Noise, impractical design elements, check-in process (literally in the middle of an active nightclub).
Location is perfect if you don’t want to be downtown.
The rooms don’t have windows that open. So the room smelled stale/moldy.
The price was pretty good for Portland, and it’s by in a convenient location. This is one of the loudest places I’ve ever stayed, the noise assaults you from all angles. I would only recommend staying here if you intend to party, otherwise don’t expect a good night’s sleep anytime before 3am.
A chill vibe and location. The staff were super helpful and pleasant. They have wine and water to purchase in the room. Restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. We had some good ramen down the street. They have doors painted with chalkboard paint and chalk to write on them! There's a business center, and small art gallery. Live music and/or band next door. Patios are literally right outside your door, which was super convenient. I'd definitely come back!
There's only $29.00 valet parking or street parking that has enforcements that start at 8 am. I was able to run down and move my car to the front and pay like $2.00 to park until 10:00 am. I sent my kids into the room before me , and I returned to two pre teen boys asking if they could try on the condoms that are provided as a courtesy in front of my 7yr old. Now I'm fine with that conversation, but I'm still wondering how I'm going to explain that to the bff's mom. The room is super small. It worked fine for the one night, but I would not have stayed here for an extended time with the three kids I had with me on this trip. If you have chill lowkey older or small children you will be fine, but I had two 12 yr old and a 7 yr old boys, and it just wasn't enough space for ALL of thier energy. Overall it was nice!
Fun hip place to stay
Very cool vibe
Good location, good food, good music
The rooms are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. The food in the Doug Fir was delicious for breakfast.
Fun, great value
The service was great; the atmosphere was fun; the price was good. Checking out the Doug Fir is a must.
Rooms were small. It was a little out of the way.
Comfiest bed ever, fun for the night
I loved being able to walk across the parking lot and have a drink at the bar. The room was very comfortable.
The remote control for the TV didn't work. An employee tried several other remotes but none worked.
Fun hotel close to the action. Would definitely stay again.
Simple and fun
simple but interesting rooms Fun atmosphere Near to bars
This location is perfect and the staff was super friendly. The beds were comfy and the room felt clean.
I just slept terribly here. Blue light fills the room from the hallway at night, it would be great if they could invest in some black out curtains. Heater was so LOUD, neighboring hotel guests were loud, and there really isn't a "chill side" . This is a great hotel for partiers.
Funky boutique hotel near the river. Rooms are small but the property is unique and I'm glad we stayed here versus a generic hotel room.
Small rooms
I stayed in a quiet side room and it was quiet.
It seems like a motel, not a hotel. It was located far from downtown, near convention center (15 min by walk). And the tram was also too far away from hotel. A friend of mine who stayed in a noisy room, she said it was too noisy to sleep.
Relatively calm, isolated appartment, motel style, firendly staff, good location
High room price. This is a motel, not a hotel, which is was not announced. If I would taking care about money I would find a cheper motel.
The short distance to the Oregon Convention Centre was and the fairly low rates of the rooms were the main reasons to choose for Jupiter.
The restaurant could not be payed via the hotel bill.
Jedi at the front desk was the best (yes that was his real name) and helped us enjoy Portland to the fullest. The room was very well designed and everything I expected. Check out the Douglas Fir (hotel bar) to see if there's a band playing that night. Seems like they have a lot of great shows going on there. Great experience.
Young crowd, but that includes me. Don't stay here if you're not ready to have a good time.
Great room, with chalk board on the door. Good restaurant. Very nice people at the front desk and the restaurant. We did not notice the music at night (because of our jetlag?)
very fun place with a great restaurant and hair/spa
better coffe set up in morning
the staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved renting bikes from the hotel
the noise from the restaurant patio was definitely a problem and we were not notified about this beforehand. also there was not sufficient parking
The staff at the hotel had gave us awesome services and made us feel like a regular and I definitely recommend staying at the Jupiter hotel if you ever plan on staying in Portland!
That we were booked in when there was no live music, as we hadn't realised when booking how close we would have been had there been something on. Service in Doug Fir restaurant was always good.
Not that keen on some of the drawings and messages on the chalet chalkboard doors as we arrived, but realise you can't always control that.
Nice atmosphere, it's a quite international and dinamic environment. The staff is very professional.
