After holding a pre-paid reservation for 10+ months, they contacted me 3 days before my trip to let me know that due to "construction" they did not have a room for me. In their defense, they offered to put me up at their "sister hotel" near Civic Center, but did not reply when I asked if it would be for the same money they had been holding (and gathering interest on) for 10+ months. I simply cancelled, and booked at a fleabag near to a BART station down the peninsula. This trip was for the AGU conference in Moscone, with 25,000+ attendees and astronomical hotel room rates. I get that they might have wanted to make more money off of their room because everybody else around them was making zillion$. But, why would they offer it to me at the price back then, take my money, and then break their contract with such a transparently flimsy excuse? Dis-recommended in the extreme. If they push back on my posting these facts here, I will consider legal action.
location and personal; very flexible, good breakfast included, we didn't like the room and they quickly changed it for us.
bad smell in the rooms, cleaning people are not doing good job, have to sign in to wifi every time you leave the room
Worse than expected but good staff
There was no hot water so I couldn't shower and Kayak listed this hotel as offering parking but it doesn't so I had to pay an extra $45 to park in a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful however.
The room is very bad smell like mold
Great place would stay here again!
Great view, quiet inside the hotel, bedding and pillows were newer & the room was large and had a bonus sitting room which I didn't expect. overall everything was great I would stay here again!
During my 4 night stay I saw a bug on the tv stand and one on the bathroom sink. I did not find any bugs in or around my suitcase or on the bedding / curtains which was a huge relef..I guess it's to be expected in an older hotel.
Extremely noisy. People in the corridor and noise on the streets. The area is full of beggars who accost you as soon as you leave the hotel. Dumpsters are picked up every morning between 5.30 and 6 am. Room is tiny, microwave didn't work properly.
The hotel is at a very good position, the cable car, street car, BART is within 5-10 minutes walk.
The room was dark, the breakfast was boring, one of the receptionist was rude (the other was polite).
Clean and excellent locatin
I stayed in floor number 6 that in the mornings is really noise because the breakfast room is in there.
Location is excellent, next block to the Hilton hotel, 5 min from famous train cab rout. Also public parking a b rent-a-car offices are available, only 3 min by feet. Breakfast is the same as in all hotels of the same class, fruits were offered.
Room was very small and actually it needs renovation as well as the whole hotel. Very specific smell, probably paint
Good location, clean room, bath room was bigger then expected.
Strange bed, kind of wobbly.
Friendly helpful staff.
The lift felt unsafe and the motel needs modernising.
Location is really good. Close to union square, market street, etc.
Clean, comfortable, nice staff. Super for the value for money.
TV didn't work.
