good and bad
- fast Internet - inner yard facing room was quiet - good price for the location
- holes in the towels - bath faucet handle very awkward, hard to use - sink drain not draining properly - soap/shampoo/etc. dispensers shoot all over you, not just drip down - squeaky mattress - small outdated TV, no channels set up
Awesome value for the money!
The Bartlett Hall was a nice hotel with nice update amenities and a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will stay there again if we find ourselves in San Francisco. The location was great and the attached brewhouse was delicious. We almost ate there multiple times but figured we should try other places as well. This hotel is definitely a great value and well worth the money.
We are used to daily hotel cleaning but were surprised this hotel didn’t have that. At least not by default. It wasn’t a problem and was actually kind of nice because we didn’t have to worry about our belongings. If you require a little more maintenance, you may want to ask before booking but that’s not a dealbreaker in my opinion.
Looking for a hip, laid back hotel right in the middle of everything San Francisco has to offer? The Bartlett Hotel and Guesthouse offers the best experience in the city. Low-cost travelers, solo travelers, and small groups are better accommodated here rather than families.
Located on O’Farrell Street The Bartlett is amid the shops and restaurants of busy Union Square, and a short walk to Powell Street Station/Cable Car Station. A 10-minute walk from the hotel leads guest to Chinatown and Moscone Center, while a 15-to20-minute walk leads to SFMOMA, North Beach, and SF Ferry Building.
Bartlett Hall on-site at the hotel captures the essence of San Francisco in the form of food, drink and good times. The restaurant is a unique facility like no other in the area that attracts visitors and locals alike to enjoy house-brewed beers, barrel-aged cocktails, and uniquely crafted bites from lunch to late night.
Accommodations range from Bartlett Queen Standard to bunk beds, quads, economy queens and economy bunks. The Bartlett Bunks is recently renovated to feature two bunk bed and a private bath and is ideal for low-cost travelers. The Bartlett Quad is ideal for groups of three or four with four bunk beds and a private bath. All rooms feature the same standard amenities such as minifridges, flat-screen TVs and ceiling fans, the only difference is the space and the fact that economy rooms share a hallway bathroom.
