Best location best hotel
Convenient, central and amazing service!
Hotel attached to both Raffles city mall and City Mall metro station. Unbelievably convenient where transit station is steps away from the hotel and you don’t need to even go outside if its raining (saved my wife from having her hair ruined which in turn is a life save for me!). Mall is also connected to the hotel so you have an abundance of top notch food choices from a high end japanese restaurant to castella cakes, coffee/ramen shops and Din Tai Fung all just below the hotel. Room was spacious, with a view and central to almost everything there is to see in Singapore. Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown and Orchard Road can all be reached with a quick 10 min train ride or a 20-30 minute stroll. Service was impeccable starting from the lovely receptionist and front desk staff. Gina helped us and not only gave us an early check in, but also hand drew on the map where we were in the city, top points of interest and also wrote down her favorite places to eat nearby. Thanks for the chicken rice tip Gina!! You made our stay so much more personable and easy! In addition, we had a hard time using the outlets since my wife had a special hair curler needing the standard US 110V but since we didn’t have one, they actually had a converter AND a step down voltage converter to take the Sing 220V to US 110V! Amazing help so the wife could look and feel her best! Overall great stay and loved the convenient location and service so much we booked another stay on the way back from Thailand. Kudos to the Fairmont Singapore team!
Wish we could have stayed longer!
Luxury, comfort, location ... lousy Internet access
I had a suite on the 25 floor, large, very comfortable, great view, if a little dated furnishings (e.g. couch, carpets, etc.). The best, though, is the staff, in particular housekeeping. After they’re through with your room, you can eat off the floor (well, not off those carpets ... but still!).
The WIFI’s Internet access. It’s spotty, to say the least, and THAT, to me, makes an enormous difference. Even in the Executive Lounge on the 23rd floor, half the room, to the left of elevators and in the conference room ... excellent ... the other half ... forget it, had to use Singtel. Same in Prego, the Italian Restaurant on the ground floor (if you like black truffles, by the way, now they have a special truffle menu!).
Too many "sorry" replies instead of solutions for numerous issues encountered during the stay. 5 star hotel brand delivering to 3- or 4- star service levels. I rave about the Fairmont Vancouver airport; Singapore Fairmont doesn't come close to meeting the perceived brand value.
Great location, very large rooms and excellent value!!
Great amenities and fantastic view!
I stayed in the north tower. The room was huge, nicely decorated, clean and a had great view. The hopper bus line had a pick up which was just steps away from the front door
Too much air freshener in the lobby, $54 buffet breakfast and not as close as suggested to the shopping on Orchard road.
Excellent rooms, comfortable beds, good view and friendly and helpful staff
I have no complaints about the hotel.
the staff was extraordinary! The rooms and breakfast were top notch.
The size and comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff and excellent service. It was in a great location. The swimming pool area and spa were very good.
Nice environment and conveniently linked to MRT and shopping centre.
Excellent location, City Hall MRT is right next to the hotel, and is within walking distance to the CBD and interesting night spots. Very well connected by underground links and malls to the main shopping areas. Very nice rooms, and the executive floors are nicely self contained, with its own gym and restaurant.
Friendly welcome, spacious room, good location and quiet room at night for comfortable sleeping. Prompt service to fix minor fault with motorised draw curtains.
Some furnishings showing wear and tear for this class of hotel and need upgrading. No free hotel internet computer (only hotel on our entire 3 week trip). I did have a major complaint but this will be taken up directly with the hotel not here but explains my selecting No to the following question.
They always make me feel welcome every time I stay at the Hotel
The rooms and the corridors in the north Tower need a little bit of a paint touch up.
Convenient for airport, city transport, restaurants, some sights, and good shopping mall. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Friendly helpful staff, from doormen and cleaners to senior staff. We had stayed at the hotel before and
Drinks in bar were a bit expensive in comparison with those elsewhere.
I chose this hotel due to its reputation and location, centrally sited for everything and not too far to walk and as it was extremely humid whilst there. Fairmont hotels epitomise luxury and I doubt you would be disappointed. The hotel can be reached from the aiport by the MRT for $2, shuttle bus for $9 or taxi for $25 . Either choice will be quick and easy. The rooms are spacious and have all you would expect for your comfort and convenience. The hotel stands above a shopping mall, Raffles City, which is thankfully air conditioned and has a vast amount of shops and eating choices. All the staff I met were courteous and helpful. There are 2 outdoor pools and a large sun terrace as well as a fitness centre and spa.
room was quiet, comfortable. not luxurious, but good enough. gym and spa are good. check-in and out very efficient. a great city location.
