location in downtown was great as was front desk and bell hop staff. Large suite style was quite appreciated.
rooms are very dated with furniture 10-15 years out of date. Bed mounted on a squeaky wooden box setup. Definitely need to put some money in to updating of the floors!
Really good choice for value versus everything else
Location, amenities, spacious and very complete suites, and the restaurant were all major pluses for us. Plus being pet friendly. Overall I felt like we paid for a good deal, and that the staff was courteous and warm all around. I especially enjoyed the restaurant and its staff, the food itself was really quite good even if not very diverse, but what options there were, were just delicious.
The rooms could use some remodelling, they're kinda heading towards rundown and the layout for the double suites feels awkward, then the vent in the bathroom was just noisy and useless. The elevators need a serious overhaul... they even set off the fire alarm, and then on checkout day only one elevator was working, which made for 15 minute delays across the board.
Greed!'
My reservation was cancelled with out my consent! The room was resold for more than double!
Getting the run around by Kayak, Get a Room and Century plaza Hotel and Spa. Being offered a room of the same value in a different city. when a person reserves room in a city they usually want to be in that city. Greedy corporate pricks!
The bed was horrible way too hard , the a.c. didn't work, we agreed not to go back
Great location
The hotel is in walking distance to food, shopping and entertainment.
The hotel is clean but it shows it's age.
Great stay
I booked this hotel because I got a great deal, but was very pleasantly surprised when I got there and saw how nice it was! Definitely way better than what I had expected for the price I go on Kayak. The single room I booked was very spacious and clean, with a couch, dining table and a full kitchen, even including appliances (full size fridge, oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, etc') and dishes in the cabinets!! Staff was super nice and helpful and let me check in early even though I arrived way before the normal check in time. Even more value for your money, they gave me great coupons to use both at the restaurant and the spa. There is also a cool little cafe you can enter right from the lobby. since the weather did not cooperate with my plans to go for a day of hiking in the area while I was there, I decided to stay in and pamper myself with one of the spa packages for half a day. It's a bit on the pricy side, but they really did think of EVERY little detail to make sure you felt pampered and relaxed, so I feel was well worth the expense, and I had a great time. I did not know this, but the lady who took care of me at the spa also told me the hotel is pet friendly which is really nice. Though I did not see any pets over the weekend I spent there. The location is great, right in the middle of everything, walking distance to lots of great shopping, Granville Island, and the sky train. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, and I would totally come back if I'm in the area again. Would have loved to try the restaurant, but it didn't work out with my other plans this visit.
Hello Mr. Price, I can copy KAYAK, however that is a confirmation email for out-going emails only. About your question were do you go, I would advise you to call KAYAK customer service and explain the situation. My supervisor Steve Fuenzalida has been CC on this email as well as the Reservations Manager since she is the one who provided the back up that I attached on the previous email. I am really sorry to hear that from you, We as a hotel are willing to help you get the answers you are looking for and provide all the information necessary. My request from you today was, "Where do we go"? In fact, you said you could contact your supervisor and Kayak. I do not see Kayak or the booking company address in the email below. What I am hearing from you is, your company did what it was asked to and I do not receive what I paid for. I guess Kayak, GTA and Century Plaza lose a former and future customer. This can show you that we weren't aware your booking was made through KAYAK as well as your request. On the booking request they ask for a standard studio suite (no specification) and it says an additional guest will stay with you (no names). Our Reservations team assign rooms based on our type-bed availability and on the accompany name (If guests are same gender or no name was provided we try to accommodate them in rooms with two beds). However, during the check-in if the guest wants to modify the bed type we can do it as long as we have availability. If you need further information please don't hesitate to contact me. Their Italian restaurant is superb. Pasta homemade daily and the best haibut I've ever had. Rhe rooms are spacious, simple and comfortable. The staff warm and gracious.
Great location
Perfect location close to downtown shopping. Great staff. Amazing restaurant on site.
Hotel is a bit dated. Carpet was damaged in our room. Very modest for the price- but the location was so great
Huge Room!
Got a studio suite and was not expecting the kitchen, separate bedroom, big living room and balcony! Great spot.
Great location, great fitness centre, comfy bed.
Not the cleanest room I have been in (dusty, bit of mould), very slow lifts and long waiting times, staff could be friendlier (but then again, so could Vancouver as a whole).
Great downtown charm
It was easy to find the hotel location, parking, and the view was lovely. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. The bed was comfortable and the room had that sort of dated but welcoming feel. The room looked like it used to be an apartment or condo that was redeveloped into a hotel. There is a pool - in the basement. The fitness center is top-notch. There is an elevator - more than one. A spa and a great little café are on the first floor.
The cleaning left something to be desired. The toilet had obviously not been wiped down and there was hair in the shower. The sheets had been changed and windows wiped down - so it was okay...but it could use some work. Parking - When I checked in they said they could add parking at $17/day to my bill. I was fine with that - but when I got the receipt with taxes and fees it was more like $22/day. I would have been fine with the $22/day - but be upfront about it. Either say it is $17/day and stick with that or say it is $17/day plus taxes and fees. It put a sour note on the check out experience.
There are few places in the world that present unspoiled beauty in the way that British Columbia does. With massive mountains adjacent to sparking deep blue oceans and some of the world’s greatest gardens, it is impossible to visit this area and not come away awestruck. This beautiful region sees a ton of tourists and all those tourists expect great service, plush amenities and hotels that reflect the beauty of the surroundings. Fortunately, the Century Plaza Hotel Spa is a hotel that understands its location and clientele so it can deliver on expectations.
The Century Plaza Hotel Spa is located right in Vancouver and the large windows provide not just an amazing view of the city but the nature surrounding it. Because the hotel is right in the heart of the city, it is easy to get around – something business travelers will love. These business travelers will also enjoy the banquet room and the business center. Getting everything done before a meeting is the easiest way to rest.
For leisure travelers, there’s so much to do. Getting in the pool is a great way to relax, but you can step it up a level with the spa. Whether you want a massage or other types of services, the spa is a great way to spend a day being pampered. However, just taking a nap on the premium mattresses can provide great relaxation.
The Century Plaza Hotel Spa is one of Vancouver’s top hotels because it offers guests everything they need for a great vacation.
