Bed was very lumpy...not good sleep
The bed was terrible
Nice location, old time charm.
Inside and out hotel was beautiful. Even though we were a few hours early and not able to check into our room yet they still allowed us to park in the hotel parking lot so we could go out and spend some time walking around the area and visiting the museum. The staff that I dealt with were very pleasant and courteous. There is a very nice restaurant located in the basement of the hotel and is accessible both from the lobby and from outside. The food was good and staff was courteous and the prices were not too bad at all.
It’s an older hotel so there is no elevator and no air-conditioning. I have a bad back and stairs are difficult so having to go up to the third-floor was not easy. Luckily it was cool in the evening and overnight so the lack of air conditioning turned out to be Ok. It also would have been nice if there was some kind of complementary breakfast like Continental or just a small buffet but unfortunately there was not. Although they do give you a card when you check in that it allows you 15% off your meal in the restaurant that is located in the basement.
Clean, Friendly, Nostalgic, Free Parking, Quiet Lo
Virtually everything - the place reminded me of the places my parents would take me as a kid when on holiday. Parking lot, very well kept gardens, friendly check-in with lemon water available and coffee in the morning. Comfy, old school decor and furnishings - but everything is clean and kept up - it's not at all tatty. Ice machine, vending machines, and a simple but immaculate room. I also left my laptop in my room by accident and the maid made a point of rushing after me to return it - so, honest staff as well.
My pillow could have been a bit denser!
Very comfortable (quiet) and at home. The room I stayed was very clean.
A bit far from Downtown.
I participated in the 1/2 marathon. Location was great. Room was comfortable and beds were great. Convenience of the restaurant downstairs was also a plus. It was quiet and we only stayed the one night and enjoyed the accommodations. Staff was great!
I would have liked to have a larger TV in the room.
The position, very close to the city center but at the same time in a very quiet and nice area. The "old style" character of the hotel. Free Wi-fi in all the hotel.
the rooms need some refurbishing. Our room was overlooking a yard where the fans of the restorant are located with the consequent bad smell
Very clean, no frills accommodation in a historic building in the midst of interesting residential neighborhood, yet close to shopping and downtown core.
No elevator so would not be suitable for those who cannot do stairs.
My stay was brief - one night only - late arrival and early departure. Staff very accommodating. Upgrade to queen bed was good. Lobby coffee was excellent. We were allowed to park our car on the lot after check-out while we went on a walking tour of the city - that was greatly appreciated.
Carrying heavy bags up the steps to lobby - no elevator.
The location and the restaurant are well worthwhile.
The room while clean and with a modern bathroom, was all on an angle. The floor and doorways are all not square, we are talking about 2 inches on a doorway. If this doesn't worry you then the place is fine.
The room was small but well organised and the bathroom and shower looked really new.
The bed could have been bigger for 2 people but still we slept well.
The friendly staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. Location was great.
Liked location and price. Very good hotel for the price. close to everything. Evaluations are based on value for price. Staff kept this older hotel clean. Nice to have refrigerator in room.
quiet and clean
no elevator and my friend was in a walking cast. no bath tub........the cheapest possible shampoo and soap. I dropped the soap in the white shower and I coundn;t find it until I turned off the water.
