Zaragoza car rentals

Because you may have to drive through narrow and busy streets, and often parallel park, opt for a small, compact car when driving in Zaragoza. But if you’re heading to the Pyrenees or visiting other main Spanish cities, a spacious sedan is recommended, as it offers enough comfort for longer journeys.

The speed limit in urban areas across Spain is typically 50 km/h (31 mph), but it may be lower on certain residential roads. The speed limit on rural roads is 90 km/h (56 mph), while divided highways (autovias) have a speed limit of 100 km/h (62 mph) and highways (autopistas) let you drive at a maximum speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).

Meter parking in the center is limited to 1-2 hours and enforced between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and 5-8 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are two different street parking zones, the blue one and the orange one, with the first being cheaper. It’s best to leave your car on adjacent streets, such as the Gran Via Latassa, which offers free parking, and then walk around the center. For longer stays, opt for the 24-hour public parking lots, which charge €1.50 ($2.00) per hour.
