Cons: Be warned: there are NO cable channels, or movies or anything to watch really, though the rooms have giant TVs. Also, overnight parking is $29 and there is no room service or restaurant (yet) or even a vending machine!

Pros: I liked that it was pretty quiet for an area that was really busy during the day and night. Other than that I'd recommend this place even for an over night trip. The staff was super nice and welcoming. One of the nice ladies in the front complemented me on my fresh tattoo and I really appreciated it cos it was important to me.

Pros: It was perfect for my stay in Los Angeles. The hotel was beautiful and felt unique. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Maid service was on top of it when I requested it. Overall, I would stay there again.
Cons: No counter or vanity space in the bathroom. My toiletries and makeup ended up on the back of the toilet. I normally live out of my suitcase, but there was barely any storage in the room if you wanted to unpack your stuff.

Pros: An older property that retains its character but nicely updated, Hotel Normandie is a comfortable property in a great location. Walk to some of the best Korean food in the world! The staff is friendly and without a lot of effort, you could imagine yourself in a classic movie! The lobby evokes a different age. Also, a fun cafe is accessible from the lobby.
Cons: Strangely missing was a way to heat water in your room. Curious oversight... The breakfast was nice, but next time I will pay more and eat at the restaurant. Not a bad thing, but I was hungry and wanted a full breakfast.

Pros: Last minute reservations led me to this hotel. I was at a wedding and the celebration was extended and we needed a place to crash. Price is decent, parking is not what I was expecting. Even if you stay you get charged 32.00 bucks to leave your car in the premises.
Cons: Parking like the rest of the hotels around the area is ridiculous. 30 something bucks for parking in a hotel you are staying... This charge should be shown in the cost of all the websites where the reservations are made. Hey... the room is 158.00 with 26 bucks of taxes and services and 32.00 parking fee... there you have it. the fees do creep on you.

Pros: The feel, atmosphere, and decor of the hotel were very interesting, and the staff was nice. The restaurant next door had incredible desserts and breakfast!
Cons: The only parking option was $32/day vallet. The hotel was very sparse in amenities (e.g. the lobby is pretty much decorative, no breakfast, no coffee). There wasn't a lot of space for us to eat our take out. Where do you throw our baby'd dirty diapers away?!

Cons: The room smelled a little like mildew, and the hotel had a similar smell. Perhaps this was due to LA's pollution. Additionally, the room we stayed in had poorly connected handles/plugs for the toilet, shower, and sink.

Pros: I loved the king size bed it was very comfortable. The hotel overall was nice even with the renovations going on.
Cons: The walls are really thin, I was able to hear everything going on outside my door even people walking. Outside noise was very loud, the hotel is located on a busy street and you can hear sirens, car horns, and just normal traffic. The little store in the main lobby is over priced. My significant other had a head ache and didn't want to drive to a convenience store and paid $4 for 4 Advil pills.

Pros: Very early morning and check-in time staff were friendly and helpful. There is a fee for early check-in, which surprised me. Bed is very comfortably and room was a nice size. The AC is a window/wall unit, which means the AC may not be as quiet and cool as some wish. I'm used to it because I live in an old building and have a window unit, but I can see how someone who lives in a newer building might find this odd for a hotel. Nice toiletries in the bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash. Nice location in walking distance of coffee shops and eateries. Basically, this is a no-frills hotel that is a perfectly decent place to lay your head.
Cons: One night staffer barely looked up or acknowledged me when I went to ask a question. When I asked for an iron and ironing board, they were in poor condition. I'm not sure if the iron was working properly and it water spilled out from it when I got it. Ironing board was old and stained. Some of the upholstery in the room was stained. Didn't bother me, but might bother some people. Why is there not even a vending machine to get water? I had to resort to just filling several small glasses of water from the lobby.

Cons: Priced up to 230$/night. (Varies by day) for that price I expect some level of luxury-esq. yet only had a loud window AC in the record setting LA heat of early July. No microwave, No ironing board, not even an ice bucket/machine, the only closet looked like it was bought at ikea a decade ago, the fridge was ridiculously small ones that can barely fit a six pack of bottle necks. The room came with 2 towels and I was told no when I requested a 3rd for my daughter.... I needed to get a roll away bed for my 5YO which then charged me 10$/night for which is crazy to me. Parking was 25$/night (no valet) which I talked down to 20$ but it’s in a tiny cramped lot, if you get back late you’ll be lucky to find a spot. Location is sketchy at best, at least in walking distance to restaurants if your crazy enough to cross a street in LA. Bottom line, it’s a low end hotel at resort prices... will not be returning.

Cons: Bathroom was not clean: hair and dirt all over walls. Walls also were poorly constructed and caving in or puffing out in multiple spots. Seemed cheap despite nice fixtures, tile and touches of marble. Also had two yippy dogs barking a few doors down that ruined stay. No fridge in room also disappointing.

Cons: For 2 of the three nights I got almost no sleep. There were other rooms around mine where numerous ( 5 in one room?) people were loudly yelling, partying, and who know what else. The management was unable to handle this. Also, I had a truck which is $30 per night extra, not $20. I found this out as I left. It wasn't a great experience all around. But that said, the staff was really nice, especially the parking lot guys.

Pros: The hotel was clean and cute. Its not in the thick of things if you are there to site see but its also not far from things like the Griffith Observatory. Its not a bad hike to Santa Monica either.
Cons: The parking situation sucks! There aren't enough spots so at night cars get blocked in. The staff expects you to give them your keys so they can move your car if needed, however, if you are a tourist, like we were, you likely have a rental car. In your rental agreement, no one else is allowed to drive the car. The parking lot if very tight with concrete beams so there is a very large margin for error. If the car is damaged YOU will be held liable by the rental company because you do not have an agreement with the hotel. The alternative is for you to drive 20 minutes looking for a parking spot or just keep your keys and if it needs to be moved they will call you. At 2:30 am, the gentleman (I use that sarcastically) at the front desk our first night kept threatening us with phone calls should we not give him our keys. Fortunately a non-guest who had parked in the parking was leaving and we took her spot. Not the best customer service and there is no disclosure regarding the parking situation.

Pros: The location of this hotel is right in koreatown and walking distance from many great restaurants and stores.
Cons: The towels were a bit rough and the room smelled a bit musty but the bed was comfortable and the room was big and modern. Wish the elevator was faster or maybe had another since it was the only way one could exit the hotel as well as the only one for going up to the rooms.

Pros: The Commisary staff, environment, and food were amazing. The room itself was well designed and had amazing views. Valet was quick and attentive.
Cons: The elevators were slow and crowded. The brass handles in the shower were molded and rusty. The mattress was one of the worst I've slept on. The rooms were missing essentials like a coffee machine and toothpaste. I would have rather had both than the optional t-shirts for purchase.

Pros: Excellent customer service: Staff answered my questions with full confidence and very helpful in all kinds of matter. I discovered Uber because of them. VERY friendly bunch of people working there. Location: directly across from the subway station - Purple Line (Wilshire Normandie stn.). Makes it easier to get around anywhere in LA. It's located in the safer side of Koreatown. Room: very clean. Spotless. Good size for 1-2 persons. Bed was comfy. TV has many HD channels.

All the result of having just opened. They'll get there. Many of the amenities were not yet available as the hotel has only been open for a few weeks. No pool, no convenience shop, etc. Again...they'll get this stuff fixed as they are open longer and they hit their stride.

Pros: My husband and I stayed in a standard suite with 2 beds with windows facing the Ralph's. The area was pretty sketchy and there were a lot of homeless people around. The room was okay. The furniture was dated and so was the smell of the hotel. The bathroom had a tub/shower and was roomy. Parking structure was pretty tight and kind of confusing to know designated parking areas between "reserved" and normal customer parkings. But it was free so I guess you can't beat that. The good thing about this place is that it was really close to the Wiltern theater if you have to attend a concert. And the staff was really friendly. There was also free wifi; though not the fastest but still useable. It was decent for what we paid for.

Pros: Booked a room here a bit last minute so i wasn’t expecting much considering that it was one of the most affordable options i found in the area. Upon arriving I was shocked by how modern and beautiful this hotel is. Staff was also super friendly! I’m definitely looking forward to staying there again in the future!

Pros: They’re renovating an older building and staying open during the process. If you keep that in mind, it’s a great place for the price. And the staff really is willing to do what they can to accommodate any concerns that were had. The location is great for the price as well.

Pros: The location was convenient for us based on where we had business. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room looked cute at first glance. There is some great food nearby. It's one of the more affordable rooms in LA.
Cons: The stairs were completely closed for most of our stay due to construction. The sheets made us very itchy. The lock on the door malfunctioned & locked us out of our room several times. There was black mold & a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Lots of sound transference. Honestly I think this hotel should've been closed the weekend I was there. It was unsafe. The staff said construction would be over next week, but that was irrelevant to me as I was only there during construction.

Maid missed room cleaning So I asked to do a room cleaning, She rush into my room and pull blanket and linens very tough in front of me and children. as if she doesnet want to do this, she did making bed so noisy and in aggresive attitude. I don't go there with family again, alone maybe.
