Good 7.0
Pros: We arrived during a time of low occupancy, which remained constant throughout our 4-day stay. As a result, we mostly had the facilities exclusive to ourselves. We did not use the kitchen to prepare any substantial food, preferring to avail ourselves of the many choices in the Crescent City. It appeared that the kitchen was adequate to do some light cooking, if not more. Coffee was available throughout the day and was delivered by the staff/owner each morning, arriving on the hall floor in front of our room door at the agreed-upon hour. We checked in after being met by Andrea, a pleasant woman who met us on behalf of the owners who were out of town. She was efficient, consuming only a minimal amount of time getting us settled and then we were on our own, though we did understand that we could text her for answers to our questions. It was then that we were informed of the restrictive aspects of the "breakfast" part of the B&B's service. We were a bit taken aback because, during the roughly 2-week period of our travels prior to our arrival in New Orleans, most hotel facilities had opened up their full breakfast services. The owners soon arrived home the following day. They responded to our inquiries and requests courteously and promptly with a friendly demeanor. Clearly, they have been providing this type of service for several years as their service demeanor is highly practiced.
Cons: We did note the appliances to be at least minimally adequate, with a few oversights. The mismatched pans and minimal utensils hardly spoke of a fully adequate kitchen if one were to prepare something complex. A minor issue: The carafe didn't fit the coffeemaker in the cupboard and was intractable to our correction efforts. We wondered why it was there? We feel that the "bed and breakfast" moniker requires comment. This facility bills itself as such and charges a commensurate rate. A rather minimalist "brown bag breakfast" is provided. This falls far short of that to which we're accustomed. A B&B we left just 48 hours prior to our arrival at this facility provided provided a sumptuous gourmet breakfast each morning of our stay. By contrast, we got little of value here and took our breakfasts elsewhere. Addressing this issue with the owner, we were given a convoluted explanation regarding an "open kitchen restriction" to justify the brown bag - stating some city-wide constraints. We felt that to be somewhat contrived. There is ample room to spread out guests if distancing was the issue. As medical people, we know that to be the only potential COVID concern, as there is very little concern with fomite transmission (virus spread by objects) and food served hot poses no issues. Given the stark difference, we feel that a significant discount should be given to acknowledge the lack of a proper breakfast for which we paid, the second "B" in the "B&B." It's not fair to guests to charge for service not provided. On comfort, the issue in New Orleans is always air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. Arriving in June, we found setting the air conditioner to be unwieldy. The hallway and adjacent room(s) were served by the same unit. Our room overheated in daytime and become uncomfortably cool at night as air blew directly on us.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Felt like home away from home. Very comfortable and made to feel very welcome! Daily breakfast was great! Owners were always available with suggestions & help when needed. Definitely recommend!
Good 6.0
Pros: Location was fine, close to family. Parking was tight as always, but found a close spot every time. Room was very comfortable and clean with nice traditional furnishings. Host was exceptionally friendly.
Cons: Had much higher expectations on the breakfast, but was explained that it was COVID related that the breakfast was a brown bag with a piece of fruit, snack bar and coffee. Understand that there may be kitchen restrictions, but most restaurants were open and busy, so breakfast items could have been ordered from offsite and delivered to rooms for a much better breakfast serving.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Room was spacious. Staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The spa tub was the clincher. No need to stay at the sloppy, less accommodating hotel properties in the French Quarter. Ride the super scenic trolly for a couple bucks. Take in the splendid majesty of the St. Charles properties. You will feel like a king! Tom will make sure your stay is worth coming back for! Thanks, Shawn and Micah.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This place shouldn't be a hotel. It should be a destination. I'm not kidding, it was amazing. If you want to have the best experience during your vacations, I would recommend staying there because it's perfect: the house is beautiful, the room is lovely, the neighborhood is quiet and Tom and Patricia are the best hosts ever. When we arrived, Tom gave us a tour around the house and showed us everything we needed to know to feel at home. Also, he shared with us a map and a sheet with a lot of tips to enjoy the city. That's a guy that knows how to host: very kind, calm, and always available to help. Now about the room: it's very clean, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The decor takes you on a vintage trip. The breakfast is also delicious. And there's a very welcoming porch where we would be at night just to relax a bit before going to bed. Every single detail was crafted to make our trip perfect. Thank you so much! Hope we can get back soon =)
Cons: This place is perfect. It shouldn't have this question hahahahahah
Excellent 10.0
Pros: As soon as you walk in the door they treat you like family and also they hand you an adult beverage very nice to come off a long drive to such a relaxing place it feels just like home was an amazing bed and breakfast
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and excellent host. Rooms were very clean and had all amenities that were requested. Breakfast was fabulous and the living areas were well furnished. Location in the Lakefront area was very convenient and parking area was secure.
Cons: Nothing to complain.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Stayed twice both rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. Feels like home!’
Good 7.0
Pros: The owners were very sweet and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: I wish they had the more formal breakfast but due to COVID it was mostly a buffet of muffins, croissants. yogurt, etc. It was far from downtown. There was public transport but buses stopped running after a certain time and you had to take a bus and then transfer to trolley car. It was time consuming Ended up using Uber most of the time.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything here was spectacular. Near the lakeshore, several excellent restaurants within walking distance, Lakeshore park and Lighthouse also within walking distance. The house itself just feels like home, with lively and lovely interiors. We also especially enjoyed the porch. Meeting Peter and Ruby, though, was the uncontested highlight. We left feeling like we’d made two new friends.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is the very best that you can have for vacation….
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice choice of breakfast.
Cons: N/a
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Rose and Peter were genuinely pleasant and made our stay that much more enjoyable. As our first time to New Orleans they provided us with information on places to eat things to do. This helps when your in a new place and have no clue on where to begin😄
Cons: The only downer was the fridge in the room it was noisy which was much noticeable at night once we turned down to sleep. But this is fixable.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: What not to love? Clean and super comfortable room and fresh made breakfast next to the usual cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastry, and so on! The neighborhood is save and it’s nice to be able to just take a walk to the lake :D we loved having great conversations with our hosts and other guests and got introduced to southern friendliness :D
Cons: Bus station is close and it only takes one change to get to the French quarter but it takes an hour. That was a little annoying, but 15$ Ubers were a fair alternative.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The personal touches and the uniqueness of this Inn sets it apart from other hotels. The minute you walk in you are engulfed with warmth like you're at home. We checked in after-hours and we received a call to make sure we were scheduled for breakfast AND to get our dietary preferences. We're vegans and they were able to accommodate us. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The bathtub is a jet tub and the shower is AMAZING!! Very hot water and good pressure. My boyfriend LOVED the bathtub. You are so close to great food and entertainment! Parking is FREE! I won't reveal anymore, just book and experience it for yourself. The other high ratings are true this place is exceptional!!
Cons: I didn't like the fact we only stayed one night. I really don't have anything bad to stay about this hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The gourmet breakfast was outstanding The rooms excellently furnished. We moved room in the middle of the stay and preferred the one on the same level as the entrance to the one downstairs, but both were fine. Parking was available for a few cars at the back but in any case there is street parking, You can go on the streetcar (tram) into town with a stop right outside The common areas are full of interesting pictures and furniture.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was very different and interesting
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Monica was so great and attentive!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Terrific B&B...great location and our Host, Monica was just awesome....gave us all kinds of information and ideas for things to do while we’re there. A really charming house and a great breakfast make for a great B&B, but it really comes down to the host....she even came in early on the day we were leaving to make us breakfast to go...an above and beyond gesture. Highly recommended!!
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Owner and her assistant were awesome. Perfect stay. Wonderful breakfast, lovely furnishings.
Cons: When booking on line, cheaper rooms are in renovated section, spacious, comfortable yet modern and "sterile" If you want historic, upgrade to older sections.
Good 7.4
Pros: I really enjoyed the house itself, all the historic detail that has been preserved over the years. The room and bathroom were a good size.
Cons: The bed was terrible, the mattress was very old and lumpy, had a squeaky bed frame and pillows were not comfortable at all. Also, the lack of a ceiling fan made the room stuffy.

Pros: Great location in a nice neighborhood Host very pleasant, welcoming and helpful Charming old house with interesting history
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: BEAUTIFUL HOME! WELCOMING HOST WHO WAS EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE ON HOUSE AS WELL AS NEW ORLEANS! WE FOUND HOUSE LOCATED IN PERFECT LOCATION AND EASY ACCESS TO SITES. BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME.
Cons: ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THIRD FLOOR LITTLE FAR TO USE FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! Our stay was great, comfortable and informative. We are definitely coming back for our next trip to New Orleans.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was amazing!
Poor 1.0
Cons: No breakfast provided although it was included in the room rate. We do understand the covid restrictions but other hotels offers somehow find a solution. For instance a breakfast pack for every guest.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: First of all being greeted by the 'welcome Waggin', Porter and Jackson! Their presents made me feel right at home immediately! Larry and Brent are very gracious and helpful !
Cons: Unfortunately due to the pandemic, I did not get to experience the breakfast! But after spending time with Brent, I am sure it would have been delightful!

Good 7.0
Pros: The limited staff did a great job staying cheerful and helpful during a very strange time. They were fantastic in allowing us to treat the facility as our home during a reunion/wedding. It was really great that we could even use the lobby for some photos of the wedding party when the sideways rain started. There is no way we could have made it to the hall looking gorgeous for photos!
Cons: The pandemic could go away. The limited staff did the best they could. If there were more staff, I know it would be better. When we arrived in our suite, there were some things left behind by previous occupants and there were some things in need of repair. These things were fixed as soon as I asked.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We did not eat breakfast at the hotel.
Cons: Everything was great
Excellent 9.0
Cons: They didn’t have keys to the room
Excellent 8.0
Pros: A newer property that was in excellent condition. The room featured a full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, etc. and all plates, utensils, etc. While it looks a little remote it turns out that they are literally blocks from several main shopping areas, tons of restaurants. They even had a basketball court for guests use. Good choice - staff was polite and professional.
Cons: Everything was better than expected. No complaints
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Front desk staff and housekeeping was amazing. They took care of my every need.
Cons: I love everything about the hotel
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I like the staff, the room, and overall hotel. The room was very modern with all the features usb ports everywhere for my devices and a huge TV.

Cons: First Close Contact Check In : Worst ever!, Details are a shame for any business: It lacked of basic hotel protocol!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The stay was great
Cons: I did not like the fact that after booking it said I had to pay a deposit which was paid and when we made it to check in I had to pay yet another deposit which was communicated on booking nor when I spoke to the front desk for booking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location near Tulane University. PJ’s coffe available 24/7. Free parking on nearby lot. Night security.

Excellent 9.7
Pros: The room was lovely and very comfortable. Housekeeping staff excellent and nice to interact with. Proximity to Tulane. All staff were helpful, professional, and fun.
Cons: Wish there were a bar.

Good 6.0
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Construction
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Property was being renovated so the lobby was closed, front entrance was closed. Check-in desk was at the back door. Breakfast was grab and go.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: I did not like. Very bad quality for a Hilton hotel.
Cons: Staff did give us good attention, I needed an extra blanket I had to ask twice, breakfast poor(just muffling and cereal bar), the fruit was bad, it was there for a long time. I was asked for an extra 25 $ fee. The room was smelling bad as well.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: They are remodeling the lower level. Which is not an issue, but I am assuming that because of this they do not have an area to serve a full breakfast like they usually do. So we had to pay the normal breakfast fee for muffins, oranges, and coffee. Thankfully there is a wonderful breakfast place in the back part of the parking area that we found. If not we would of had a melt down from a toddler.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The spa tub was wonderful.
Cons: I was underwhelmed and disappointed with my stay. I was very disappointed to learn upon my arrival; all of the amenities that persuaded me to book with The Hampton Inn were not available, due to renovations. A notification or even a compensation for the renovations would have eased my frustration or at least prepared me for what to expect after a 26 hour drive from Arizona! We specifically chose our room for comfort; however, we were everything but comfortable. Constant banging on the wall from neighbors, intolerable banging from construction, the gym was unavailable, the pool's location was underwhelming and part construction zone. Had it not been a family crisis, I would never have extended my stay! The silver lining to this regretted and overpriced stay, was the spa tub and the very helpful staff. Ashley was very nice and helpful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Our room was updated and the staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. The Garden District is beautiful. Gorgeous houses.
Cons: There is major construction going on and that was not mentioned when we booked the room. Pretty noisy during the day. It's also right next to a hospital and a helicopter landed right next to our room one morning so be prepared for that as well. It's NOLA so I'd say it.was the safest area to stay but still a lot of homeless around.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The staff was nice throughout the stay.
Cons: The elevator was disgusting. There was no lobby area and no check in desk only a small table. The pool was not clean and debris particles in it. The bath tub was rusty and the curtains had stains on it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved this hotel! Would definitely stay here again!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and well appointed. Everything was great.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice room overlooking St Charles Ave. Very helpful staff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff was very professional. Continental breakfast left much to be desired but coulis is just around the corner and is a top notch breakfast restaurant. Best hotel in uptown as far as I'm concerned.
Cons: Still a bit pricey despite not being at full occupancy.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Ms. Jean is a great host. The location allowed for easy access to the French Quarter and other attractions. Thank you!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Interesting old building in a fairly easy location to get around. Single room occupancy was nice, though I probably wouldn't stay if it goes back to four
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The guest service guy and the owner greeted me when I got my key. They were very nice. The room was very clean and had 2 sets of twin bunk beds that were firm with the fitted sheet on it. They give you a large towel and a hand towel along with a thin blanket to cover with. There's a desk, chair and fan in the room.
Cons: Not much parking first come first serve.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Even though it was an old building a lot went into modernizing things that needed the upgrade while still keeping the charm of the original building. The ac was run through out the entire building and our personal rooms; the showers and toilets were completely modern as well which is nice in a hostel. My sleeping mattress was one of those special foam pads as well which was nice on my back.
Cons: It would be nice if there was a little desk with a chair in the room for when I use my computer.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean and welcoming staff
Cons: was further from French Quarter than expected Uber would take 15mins walking/streetcar 25mins
Good 6.0
Pros: friendly staff, comfortable bed, plentiful showering facilities
Cons: Given that they were not full and the Covid 19 virus is on the increase, I think they could have spaced us out a bit more in the rooms rather than putting so many of us (strangers) into one room. From what I could see many of the rooms were not being used. It seems to be that changing a bed is changing a bed, whichever room it's in (in other words, no more or less work wherever the bed is located). Also, in spite of the so-called "quiet time" between midnight and 7 am in the policy, there was a lot of noise in the hallways with people running up and down the halls and talking in loud voices well into the wee hours. Nobody was around to enforce the policy and I was woken up all night long. I had to wake up at 5am to catch a train out of New Orleans, so could have used a decent night's sleep.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great hostel close to the FQ. Street car is walking distance away. Many amenities in the kitchen such as a stove and crockpot. Gene, is an amazing staffer at the location. She is extremely helpful and an overall good soul. I've found myself staying here sporadically during my visits/move to NOLA and have loved it.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: I like the attention and information that personal gave me about the city .
Excellent 9.4
Pros: You would not know it by the sort of average photos that I saw on-line, but Site 61 was better in many ways than I expected. I hadn't stayed in a hostel for many years, so was not sure what I would find for such a (compared to hotels) low price. What I found was a well-run hostel operated by a kind and personable staff, a half dozen immaculate (and seemingly brand new) bathrooms (clean toilets, showers with great water pressure and warm water) and rooms that were also clean. i also enjoyed chatting with the staff in the mornings before I headed out for my day. Love this place !
Cons: I don't love bunk beds, but who does? Just one of the things one must deal with when staying in a hostel. But as far as bunk beds go, mine was comfortable!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location and the art the place is just magical
Cons: We thought they cooked everyday but they don’t
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is very kind and helpful
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Swimming pool, Will McGuire's food, the staff was attentive of my wellbeing at all times I felt so pampered... And its overall character, the decor, the additions (the Irish pub, the wellfare meals at the corner and Mark, the guy who runs it was kind to everyone, the owner and the Norwegian manager were reasonable and corteous- I'm glad I bought everyone a beer before heading to the airport ;) )
Cons: The only one thing was the fridges would leak and gross up the food, and Nola is quite humid, so the couches definitely need to be wiped with some kind of nice smelling product regularly... Outer than that, one of the coolest hostels I've stayed in three continents.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The staff and guests were all very nice.
Cons: The route to the room went through an alley that was littered with garbage. The host was not sure how to use the PayPal app. His PayPal ID was repeatedly rejected. The PayPal logo on his phone said "Paypay" which was suspicious. We ended up paying with Venmo. My wife hated this place.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was really nice. Had a great night with my lady.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It was excellent in every way.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff and other guests were welcoming... made you feel like part of their family. Have traveled throughout SE Asia stayed in hostels or guest houses, same welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: The style of the hostel nd its stuff, even if I am not the alternative guy
Cons: -
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: Horrible night staying there. Bathrooms dirty. Besides you have to share bathroom with everybody... Smell of the bedroom horrible... Hairs in the sheets... Poor light in the bedroom, the door doesn't close completely. Too much money to be sharing bathroom.! Plus. I didn't receive my refund. Only stayed one night. The other three nights try didn't return the money
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Everyone is so welcoming
Cons: It was kinda of hot at night
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Is a great palce to stay if you want to relax and be a little away of the center of the French Quarter, but completely accesible via public transportation.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: clean, friendly, nice bathroom
Cons: bed had been broken down on one side by someone. I sleep on the other side and it was fine there.

Excellent 8.0
Cons: Room wasn’t cleaned after the first day and had to call to ask for more towels and wash cloths for the 2nd day
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room was clean. Beds were as expected.
Cons: Can not think of anything.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Having to wear a mask was not known before . Would not have stayed if known
Okay 5.0
Pros: The hotel is attached to Ochsner Hospital which makes it extremely convenient when you are sitting with a loved one. There is a walkway that leads you to the hospital cafe and which has plenty of offerings.
Cons: The hotel has a musty smell. It obviously has taken on water in the past and was not mitigated properly. Out first room was on the second floor and someone had obviously been smoking (a lot). The entire floor smelled like an ashtray. When we got to our room, one of the beds had a very large visual dip in the mattress. When I sat on it to test it, the springs screamed at me and pretty much collapsed. It looked like a 600 lb person had lived in the bed for months. There is no excuse for leaving a mattress in that bad of shape in a hotel room. They did quickly move us upon request.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything else was ok
Cons: The toilet was to low
Good 6.0
Pros: It was very convenient with the hotel IN the hospital
Cons: That it was in a hospital it didn’t feel very secure
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Spacious rooms. Friendly staff.
Good 7.7
Pros: Attached to hospital and has atrium
Cons: Hard to find and small bathroom
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Staff not friendly at all, room not clean, shower falling apart. Terrible location way too much money for what you get.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: everyone was nice
Cons: the cleaning crew need to learn how to make beds the sheets did not stay on the bed either top or bottom sheets.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I liked that i didn't worry about being safe. it was great for a family to be there, safe and had a nice pool, and was SUPER clean. my son loved the "spinny" revolving door in the lobby.
Cons: there was no free breakfast, and yo had to pay weekly to use the gym.... must drive to actual "town" of New Orleans to see sites.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The personal was very very friendly and helpful expertly miss Lorraine she is high top in my book
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like except the coffee
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location and very clean
Cons: The toilet rocked, not fasten to the floor good
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked the price. The staff was courteous, and the place was over all clean. It was not far from New Orleans CBD and had direct routes to all of the places of interest. Parking, especially for New Orleans, was exemplary.
Cons: It was attached to a hospital which was not mentioned in any of the literature on the website I used to book the hotel.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The room was extremely nice and walking through the atrium to access the room or go out to eat in there was a very nice touch.
Cons: It was different being that it was attached to the hospital. Seeing patients around was somewhat disturbing, particularly when we ran into a gentleman on a scooter that seemed to have difficulty staying awake on it, and we came to the front desk for someone to help him. Also, we came as a mini vacation and after our 8 hour long drive, we were disappointed to find the hotel didn't have a bar, but only a cafe on the hospital side and when we walked down the road to find a bar, it was less than hospitable.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: parking
Okay 5.1
Cons: I didn't know it was connected to a hospital.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, parking, cleanliness and the bed.
Cons: Lack of amenities and no smoking area on the property
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We stayed there for our travel into the city .It was very nice. We had one of the renovated rooms.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Our hotel room looked nothing like the pictures. It was dirty, smelly, and had a huge unidentified strain on the carpet. The room looked like something from the 1970s. The pictures of the nice luxurious hotels seen online are not what we received.
Good 6.0
Pros: The rooms were just like the picture, except for the bathroom.
Cons: The room needed an update as far as the tub went. I thought it was just across from the hospital, not actually connected to it.
Good 7.6
Pros: Great location...a little odd being right in the hospital, but still good. Room was big and very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The sheets are like paper, stiff and noisy. There was no offer of food and if there was it was not marked anywhere and extremely hard to find.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: How helpfully and nice everyone was the kitchen people was very nice ! The breakfast was super good!
Cons: The ceil fan stop working but other than that every thing was ok
Okay 5.0
Pros: The breakfast was the best thing about the stay.
Cons: The room was very outdated.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I love that the tour was available to anyone staying in the house it has a rich history and the tour guides are very knowledgeable with generational information. The breakfast is amazing and it feels like you’re staying in someone’s home.
Cons: Appreciating that I was there for the history primarily nothing that I could judiciously criticize.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The breakfast was phenomenal.
Cons: Staff not readily available. No one answered the door or the phone initially. We tried checking in with the alternate method, but the key in the lockbox did not work. Staff eventually assisted. Refrigerator in room was off/broken, and a prior guest’s smelly, moldy leftovers were inside. Bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Advertised coupons to Cafe Degas were not where we were told they would be. Multiple attempts to contact the staff regarding same during and after our stay were ignored. I ended up returning there physically to inquire about the coupons only to be told that they no longer offered them. Breakfast was amazing! Cook was fabulous!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The Degas House were so cute and historic. The breakfast was lovely and it was a good location!
Cons: It could've been a bit higher in quality but it was authentic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful bed and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We got a free upgrade to a suite which was unexpected and greatly appreciated.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful room, comfy bed and pillows, the spa tub & bathroom are fantastic and the property is gorgeous.
Cons: The TV didn't work and I didn't care for the breakfast.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: -Friendly staff -Delicious breakfast -Take a trip back in time. Fascinating history involving the house, especially if you enjoy art. Take the tour!!!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Like stepping back in time. This place is beautiful and an all around great experience. The staff was nothing but welcoming and kind. I'll certainly be coming back.
Okay 4.8
Pros: - only 10 minutes by car from French quarter - bus station near (30 minutes to French Quarter)
Cons: - the boss/owner was extremely unfriendly (there were like 5-6 situations where he just snapped at us "Maaaaam my office is closed!" or "Maaaam this isnt a 24h reservation" etc. really extremely unfriendly, and we really didn't ask for anything special. (he was friendly to our male friends though so you might be fine if you're a guy ..) - Breakfast: Coffee (coffee only isn't breakfast, although it said online that breakfast was included) - apparently in a bad area (taxi driver said so), I wouldn't walk around when it's dark - for those with a car it's ok I guess but wouldn't stay more than 1-2 days it's really not a nice hotel
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff and a great value.
Cons: Too far from the quarter and in a sketchy part of the city.

Pros: I enjoyed that it was setup like a hostel. Community shower and restroom with a community kitchen. Also, I enjoyed that they offer ear plugs right at the front desk. So in case that you don't want to hear your neighbors then you can use them to get some beauty rest.
Cons: The air conditioning in there was not cooling very well and it was slightly I unclmfortingto have to wait to go to the restroom. Make sure you get up early to use it.

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: I didn't get broken into. No bugs
Cons: Would be ok for 50$. Not 100
Okay 4.0
Pros: The price was okay the room has a old smell to it. They charged my card twice they and I didn’t get a refund I wouldn’t stay their again
Okay 4.0
Pros: Not much other than the day staff was nice and gave us another room
Cons: Smelly place No iron box, no hair blower The vanity lights did not work
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: Everything
Poor 1.0
Pros: Location is close to Canal
Cons: Two events went on, both had DJs and went pretty late. No respect given to those who were patrons
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We literally had no trash can in our room it stunk and they didn't even have cups at the front desk so we could get water and I paid about $90 for the whole night
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bed bugs. Filthy mattress. Smelly carpet.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very new with excellent facilities, especially the swimming pool area and the memory foam mattresses
Cons: The bathroom had a dripping shower head and the shower curtain rail was not attached to the wall
Good 7.0
Okay 5.2
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The lady on third shift was really nice. It was close to Superdome.
Cons: First room smelled of Pot, the people next to us were smoking it heavily. The second room heater did not work and there were roaches and bugs everywhere. The elevators were broken. The place looked nothing like the pictures. Homeless guy sleeping the lounge area. This place is just and in and out for drugs and prostitution. I had two children with me. I have never stayed in something so awful. If i would have had the extra money. i would have found somewhere else to stay.
Mediocre 3.1
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Dirty, room wasn't ready when we arrived at check in. Not a good part of town, half mile walk to anything. Did not apologize for any of their wrongdoings and we are still fighting them for a refund.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Not only was this hotel situated in a very dangerous neighborhood (Tulane Ave is notorious for gangland shootings), but the property manager failed to provide basic amenities (didn't have running hot water). When I confronted her about her shortsiding, she failed to provide a refund and had a very nasty attitude towards me. I would recommend travelers to stay far away from this establishment at all costs.
Okay 4.2
Pros: There were beds and there was a roof. Sorta.
Cons: No customer service. Lucky if you walk out WITHOUT being yelled at. Shady with your credit card. I had to dispute a charge they made without telling me. The elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. Maybe I'm spoiled but I usually expect more than a nod and a blank stare when I talk to someone who is supposed to be a customer service rep.
Okay 5.7
Pros: The staff was very polite and professional. The location was great because we were going to Voodoo Fest which was held in City Park. Easy less than $10 cab ride. The beds were reasonably comfortable.
Cons: The area was sketchy. We arrived at night and were not sure we were at the right place. The carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed. The room was very bare bones as far as decor, which is fine because it was very, very inexpensive. The shower drain was gross and clearly clogged.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Absolutely nothing even remotely acceptable about this "hotel".
Cons: Horrible Staff Uncomfortable beds. Cleanliness nonexistent. Shower didn't work. Windows didn't lock. Dirty everything. Too expensive for what it is. How it's still in business is beyond my friends and I. Some people gave this place more than one star??? Only reason they get one from me it's because I can't give them a negative star rating. Did i mentioned the staffs lack of professionalism? A simple attempt on being kind to the people that have contributed to the fact that you're still employed would suffice.
Mediocre 3.1
Pros: Worthless
Cons: It was humiliation to have to stay there.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Not safe. Don't go there. Prostitution. Broken down rooms.
Okay 4.2
Cons: I got a non smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets had scorch marks, some of the outlets didn't work and no internet
Okay 4.5
Pros: The price was better than others within the distance to the quarter. You get a little bit edgier look at the city. The outer brickwork is charming. It has potential, but looks like it needs a lot of funding to bring it up to snuff. The bed was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Lights didn't work, carpet and walls are gross, no bathroom vent, never had enough towels and staff couldn't get more, 3am street brawl at the night club next door...
Mediocre 2.2
Pros: This place had a bed and a roof ...
Cons: The carpet was wet when we got there and it never dried out. The bathroom was disturbingly gross. The jacuzzi was a large wet ashtray.
Mediocre 3.7
Cons: No hair dryer, didn't feel safe. Pool dirty. Elevator small & slow Ice machine broken.
Good 6.0
Pros: The location was excellent, the staff friendly. I drove a car, free parking. Overall, an ok place.
Mediocre 3.6
Pros: The space in the room.
Cons: Really shady part of town. Prostitutes walking up and down the road in front of hotel. Elivator inspection hasn't been done in a year. Pool was dirty. Housekeeping was very poor
Okay 5.0
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: When we first got there the room was about 90 degrees...we told the lady at the front desk and she sent someone up. It took about 6 hours for the room to cool off comfortably. also in the morning found a huge roach crawling on the floor.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Rollaway bed, parking
Cons: Cleanliness, location, price
Good 6.6
Pros: Staff was wonderful and the room was great.
Cons: The location is sketchy at night but as long as you take a cab you will be fine :)
