Cons: Very minor. But lighting was very poor in hallways elevators and in the room and could give a dingy feeling sometimes

Cons: Wish they offered room service.

Cons: Our flight arrived early, around 1:00 so we checked in with the front desk, knowing our room probly wouldn't be ready. They checked us in, stowed our bags and got our number and said they would call when our room was ready. By 4:15 when we hadn't heard anything we headed back to see what was up. The front desk had just forgotten to call us...so went ahead and told us our room was ready and gave us a key. The hotel lobby/bar is so beautifully done. And then we got to our room... The Art Deco lighting, while cool in theory doesn't nearly shed enough light in the very dark rooms. Especially since one nightstand was missing it's lamp all together and the over head lighting fixture was only partially working. In addition the very heavy doors close behind you automatically and do not have a "soft close" feature so doors are constantly slamming up and down the hallway which is incredibly loud, especially while trying to sleep. To add to the discomfort neither the beds nor pillows were particularly comfortable. This was our first getaway without our baby and even as sleep deprived parents of a six month old... we weren't able to get a good nights sleep. This wasn't helped by the visit from housekeeping at 8:00am on the day of check out nor the 2 subsequent visits by staff to see if our room was empty all before 9:45am. Not quite as bothersome but still disappointing were stains on the bathroom linens, only one robe in the closet, and the cable box dangling from the tv that was mounted to the wall. There is a fine line when decorating with a minimalist aesthetic and unfortunately without proper upkeep the room just looked bare and run down. Not good for a hotel less than a year old. Lastly, and this is more of a design flaw, in my opinion, the beautiful large window in our room had 2 shade options 1) a sunscreen that offered a light filter from outdoor light and 2) full shutters that can either be open fully or closed fully. If you open them partially, the light that comes through shines directly on the pillows, so right in your face, and fully closed you are in a tomb, which is great if you want that...but good luck getting to the bathroom because it is pitch black. No small illumination option in the bathroom to light your way. Oh and the bathroom... no vent or fan in the room or bathroom, so if someone goes to the bathroom and you don't want to smell it, you pretty much just have to leave the room. No matches, either. (Sorry probably too much information, but...a real issue!) Also, the water pressure and temp were set so low after showering I contemplated waiting until I got home to avoid having to take another Luke warm shower. I hate writing this! I'm not a complainer, just honstly beside myself with this experience. I historically love Ace Hotels and have stayed at several of their properties and have great experiences, which is why I booked the room here for our New Orleans getaway. So disappointing, hope they improve.

Cons: I believe the Hotel went way too far when trying to be 'hip'. 1. Upon check in the front desk attendant was not polite, sighed ignored my request twice when I asked for the corporate rate then made me wait 5+ minutes while she waited to ask her manager (I told her to ask him when he was free and get back to me - this never happened). 2. The hotel room AC only goes down to 68F which felt much more like 75F when trying to sleep. I have seen other reviews which also mentioned the same thing. 3. Each time I valeted my car (with a standard transmission) it took the valet over 15 minutes to retrieve it. Upon check out, the valet showed up in my car with it stinking of burning clutch. I noticed a new dent in the door, and pointed it out to the valet at which point he shook my hand and said "I never drove a manual before and I just taught myself how to on your car. Thanks so much."

Cons: The room was 45 minutes late being prepared for us and it mad us a little late getting to a meeting place for our party.

Cons: it is can get busy and crowded so if you are looking for something quit and private, Ace is probably not for you. Charge for water. Mattress was not very comfortable.

Cons: The room we were in was kind of terrible. Light switches were located in inconvenient and counterintuitive places, the bed was entirely too big for the room, the doors kept sticking (the room door had to be yanked open and slammed shut, repeatedly, which i'm sure our neighbors loved; the bathroom door closed just fine, but required patience and strategy to open), and the location of the bed meant that only one side got a nightstand. I ended up having to put my phone and glasses on the top of the headboard, which was kind of precarious. I hope this was just one bad room, but I honestly doubt I'll ever have a chance to find out if that's true.

Cons: My room was nice but the bathroom make up mirror did not work. The housekeeping service did not replace our used drinking glasses and coffee mugs. They were left with coffee still in the mugs when we returned from a day out. It was obvious we were not going to drink all the coffee. I had to wash them myself in the sink. The "Steakhouse " restaurant in the Casino was a huge disappointment. Big bucks for steaks that did not live up to the price tag. Looked like a cafeteria style eatery, with no white linens to give it the high priced Steakhouse style look. Very disappointing and uninviting. We should have gone to Ruth Chris instead for the $200.00 price tag we paid for dinner. Everything is extra . The waiter very knowledgeable about wine and was very nice. Slots are also tight here. Diamond Lounge was very nice but the food options were awful. The Caesar's chicken salad was small, and the chicken breast was cold and overcooked and tasteless. The pretzels were not a good option either. Very cheeply put together. The wine was good . Enjoyed the free drinks but would not eat the food.

Cons: I hated the parking.

Cons: The hotel said it had valet parking, but during Mardi Gras they appeared not to - I had to drive myself to a parking lot 3 blocks away, pay $25 a night to park AND wake up by 9AM to go feed the meter. This seemed a bit unreasonable to me, and it would've been nice if the hotel had let us know beforehand. The continental breakfast is a hotel continental breakfast - mediocre. They had two waffle makers, cereal, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs one day and scrambled eggs the next, and the typically assortment of OJ, Apple Juice, pastries, bagels, tea, coffee, etc. We were told it opened at 5 AM, but found that it was closer to 7AM. Very annoying if you want to wake up early or needed to leave early.

Cons: Upon check into the room, we did not have all the amenities in the room as per the booking it was to be double room with a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed. Also the toilet did not operate at all in the room. Also I was charged for 4 days valet parking when we only stayed 2 days.

Cons: The wait staff was slow and unprofessional but the rooms are so nice the 15 minute wait for valet is worth it

Cons: I didn't actually get the chance to stay here, as I received an email after booking through AMOMA that the hotel was closing and my room would not be available.

Cons: No closet and no mirror.

Cons: Pricing is very high during Mardi Gras weeks. Jazz lounge closed at 10pm

Cons: I really wanted a balcony room and they didn't even asked me if I want one. The water didn't even get hot shower

Cons: Quality, condition & service not up to par with reputation and cost. Not family oriented. Very old rooms. Certainly not a luxury property.

Cons: $40 per night parking fee

Cons: Noisy at night due to burbon st, but that was expected. Nature sounds come in handy.

Cons: The room was lacking basic items like bath towels, coffee cups. We were “upgraded” to a suite which had a queen spring with a twin mattress with the springs sticking out so we were unable to use this for our kids but still had to pay the upgrade price. Therefore the “upgrade” did not provide us with any additional sleeping space. The room door key did not work because they had to charge the lock. The concierge desk was impossible to reach to get towels, sheets, ect. It would just ring and go to voicemail. We tried to order food from the in house restaurant and they directed us to their in room menu which did not exist. Our room was two levels with an exit door on each level. I asked if they could deliver our sheets to the second level because we may not hear the knock on the first level and they said they were unable to go to the second level, even though this is a normal hotel floor with a normal hallway door entry so I was confused by this. Many of these issues are likely because they are short staffed with COVID-19 and hopefully will be improved.

Cons: Parking $45 too high. Noise and construction would have pick other hotel if known.

Cons: Elevators but they're putting new ones in

Cons: The hotel is showing some signs of age. Light to right of bed did not work. All the elevator buttons would not light up. Small things.

Cons: breakfast was overpriced

Cons: Have stayed at this location numerous times but have never had such a small cramped room. AC could not keep up wife was hot and uncomfortable both nights. Called maintenance first day of stay and he said it was working ok. Could not enter the hotel without being accosted by losers trying to get you to come into their strip clubs which surround the hotel.
