The drop off at Carrousel Du Louvre in Paris was challenging to locate but not impossible. Therefore, I recommend that the agent provide detailed instructions about its location. Otherwise, all services were excellent.

Hertz did the usual insurance trick to increase the price from E1480 to E2140. Which is to say that the price YOU gave us did NOT include insurance. The fact that insurance isa going to cost another E700 should be included in your website or theirs. The only alternative offered to us was to take ALL the risk, or pay what we paid (E700) - leaving a E2,500 per event excess, or pay a further E400 (total E1,100) for comprehensive cover.
Unfortunately, a bad rental with hidden costs exceeding the original offered price by a factor of 10. Had to cancel, but still see charges showing up. Very disgruntled.
We were 'upgraded' to an electric vehicle and it ended up costing us so much on time and money to charge the vehicle because it was used for a long destination. There was no explanation on how the vehicle worked, it was just presented as a 'gift' of an upgrade. We also required assistance on Sunday night and no one in France or North America was able to help. The keys somehow got locked in the car and we were told to wait until 9am on Monday to contact the rental office. We had to request assistance from towing company. They also blocked €1000 on my credit card for incidentals. I was not impressed by the cleanliness if the car. I think someone ran a family rag over it too'clean' it. Perhaps these are the French standard but the carpets were not clean neither and I took them out to shake them.
My experience with the staff and pick up/drop off was great. I will never rent or own an electric car, however for road trips as charging can be very inconvenient unless planned out perfectly. Otherwise, all good!
