Pros: The service was amazing. Anna was probably to most friendly innkeeper we’ve ever had. Such a good resource as far as food suggestions to finding a good spot for us to park. Always asked how our day was. So great!!
Cons: Bed was comfortable but just a little noisy. My husband is a big guy and we had the Versailles Court sweet with the king sized bed. I don’t think he was comfy since he kept moving around. I wish the tubs filled with water a little quicker. It took a long time to fill up.

Cons: If you like a hot shower...you're not getting one here. The water was warm at best. We didn't even turn on the cold side and it was still just warm. The building is old (charming) so you can hear the people above you moving around.

Pros: Clean and New Basic Room was good for staying at the hotel for sleeping. We toured the city and beach area and were out most of the day. The rooms were nicely decorated and new. Garage is nice to use to go directly into the floor of my room, and was very easy to unload my suitcase. I did not see a luggage carrier to use. I liked having breakfast included. If you just need a good basic room with breakfast that is a decent price -this is a good choice.
Cons: The location is Okay, but was farther out from the city then I would of liked. But for the money you sacrifice location.The Breakfast was larger then normal with more options and was above normal for hotels but not amazing. I did not like having to pay for parking, but just add the $12 fee to the total price to compare with other hotels. Parking is an issue downtown but not sure why had to add the cost of parking further out in a more suburban area. WiFi was okay for emails but had to pay extra for streaming WiFi. Pool was very small and only holds 19 people and very small space. I missed having a courtyard outside just to sit outside and relax.

Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect for us, reasonably close to historic downtown Savannah. Our room was a decent size, kept clean daily during our stay by a pleasant staff and the room was conveniently accessible to the parking garage for quick and easy loading/unloading travel items.

Pros: Liked that the hotel was walk-in distance from everything in Savannah. Hotel staff were nice. The continental breakfast was decent. The hotel seemed to have live music provided on the rooftop later in the evening all throughout the week, this was nice.
Cons: Didn’t like that the hotel didn’t have a complementary water cooler in the lobby, it is extremely hot out in Savannah, the hotel guests need to stay hydrated! We did have cleanliness issues in our room...many stray hairs (that wasn’t mine or my husbands) in the shower and attached to clean towels. Also with the shower, you could tell the shower door glass doesn’t get cleaned, you could see when the glass was fogged up there were drawings/writing that was done from other guests. There was a breakfast Cheerio (we never ate Cheerios while we were here) on the floor under the bathroom counter, this was there the whole week we were in this room! Makes you question the cleaning skills of the hotel staff. There were also some days that the towels weren’t stocked to the fullest. Now onto the rooftop bar and pool...the view isn’t all the greatest but it is cool. The bar and the top floor rooms cut off the main beautiful view of the river. The rooftop pool is decent but don’t expect to just hang out in the pool without getting splashed by a ton of small kids.

Pros: Except for the $30/night surprise parking fee, everything about the stay was amazing. The room had a fantastic view of the road and river. The lobby is very upscale. There is constantly free food. The pool was beautiful and the location is, of course, fantastic. The staff was also nice.
Cons: As soon as we arrived we found out parking was valet ONLY at a cost of $30/night. That is an expensive hidden fee that definitely altered the total cost of our stay. They park it in a large lot directly across from the hotel which they could easily make key-card self-park access for guests without the extra charge. We could literally see our car from our room.

Cons: The hotel was under construction. It was so loud and not relaxing. Every room heard the construction. I moved to another room to another floor in hopes of getting away from the noise. It was worse where I ended up. I was woken to construction noise. The bathrooms were old, mold around the tub, water pressure terrible, toilet seemed dirty on the outside. Had I known the hotel was under construction And so out of date, I would not have chose to stay there.

Pros: The hotel is very clean and big. Right on the river so it has an amazing view. The room was a decent size and was comfortable.
Cons: I felt like The first check in staff I encountered was trying to scam me. She said my room wasn't available but that they had a room ready but it was an upgrade with additional costs involved. I declined but went to consult with my wife and she said we should do it. I spoke to another check in member who magically was able to find me a room without having to upgrade. Either she didn't really want to help me or it was a setup. Either way I didn't appreciate that.

Apparently the $825 we spent wasn't appreciated. No where on our on-line reservation did it tell us that, in fact, it asked us for our Hyatt Reward number! We stayed there this time to get our points. Had we known this we would have stayed at one of the historic B&Bs. They'll be hearing from us.

Pros: Beautiful, clean, up to date facility. The staff was very friendly. Brittany, the bartender was very personable, knowledgeable and professional suggesting local places to eat. The bartender Sunday night wasn’t as friendly with as much personality as a piece of ice. The hotel is in an excellent location offering availability to the river, dining and shopping.
Cons: $37 per day for valet parking! Park across the street for $5 on Saturday and Sunday and $16 on weekdays.

Cons: We had to stay in a strange interior room with no real window or daylight. The wifi did not work and we racked up a lot of data use on our phone since we could not connect. They allow dogs to stay at what seems like a very nice hotel. It is disruptive to hear dogs barking when you are trying to relax. Also, as someone who is highly allergic it was hard to stay in a place with pets and dander. Had I known ahead of time that they allow pets, I would have likely picked a different hotel.

Pros: A very clean, upscale and modern hotel right on the riverfront. The Top Deck roof top bar is a great place to hang out and unwind after a day of walking the historic district. Look out over the city or watch the huge cargo ships passing through. You are located above river street with a bunch of neat little stores and just a few blocks away from City Market where there is always something going on. I'd highly recommend this place

Pros: Love the location, fantastic to walk around beautiful historic downtown. Right on River Street. Felt very safe. The bathrooms are very nice and such a nice size, much bigger that most that are the size of a small closet.
Cons: The floor was not very clean, like it had not been mopped. I would also maybe suggest another hotel if you are traveling with children. The rooftop bar is great, but you also have to contend with lots of drunks. I would not like to expose my children to the language and the fact that most people riding the elevator are seriously drunk!

We stayed Thursday - Sunday. The charge came on the Monday after. I called and asked about the charge. I was informed this was for self parking. I was picked up and dropped off by a friend who lives in Savannah. The employee on the phone said “oh, when you checked in the hotel clerk marked you down for parking”. So be wary everybody, they don’t even need proof of you parking and will charge you!

Pros: Our first anniversary started out very stressful and hectic, this being our first time in Savannah, and our trip being largely unplanned, but this hotel redeemed it, from the moment we walked in the stress melted away, our room was beutiful, bed was super Comfy, couldnt have asked for more from our rooms, and the hubby And i loved the happy hour "reception" at the dinning area. We only stayed one night so i didnt get alot of time to see any other amenities.

Pros: Great location with a shuttle that takes you across the river 2x/hr so easy to get back and forth. Pretty grounds and for the most part very nice staff.

With as many "pool days" as you get in Savannah, its reasonable to assume guests are for the most part going to take advantage of the pool. Its way too small for the size of the hotel, and there are no where near enough chairs. They also waste a lot of pool real estate on cabanas that they're trying to upsell...that could be more chairs. But even with more chairs the pool area is simply way too small for the capacity of the resort. Overall, upselling the cabana is reminiscent of their strategy...nickle and dime guests.

Pros: Boring/Disorganized receptionist at Aqua Star restaurant and long waiting. The receptionist wrote my name on a piece of paper then told me to wait around 15 minutes but we waited 45 minutes. Room service guy was the most helpful and friendly person we dealt with the entire stay. He was great! We also liked the Green program, I like hotels that provide this option.
Cons: front desk pretty much took the information and gave out keys. No information on where thing were, how to get to the water taxi, information on the different in house restaurants. We had to figure things out for ourselves and when we had to ask an employee, some were helpful and others acted like we were bothering them. I am enrolled in the starwood preferred guest program so I was expecting more helpfulness. Other Starwood properties had an info packet all ready at check in. Savannah is a destination spot so it would have been helpful if we had been given more information.

Pros: To be honest with you, I didn’t like much about this location. Most of the staff in decision making positions were poor. I spoke to the front desk manager, after asking to speak to house keeping manager and they sent me to the front desk manager. I had a problem with my room not being cleaned and the told me that it wasn’t his job! Wow! They just had me going from person to person. It was a circus.

You definitely want to get a room facing the river that way you can see the ships come in and also have a view of river street. You have a ferry that can take you to river street from the Westin property for FREE. That way you are not spending $ on parking. If I'm back in Savannah I will def stay there again.

And noticed what appeared to be a small patch of mold in the bathroom.

Pros: The hotel was lovely and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The location couldn't be better for exploring historic Savannah. The pool was small but clean, and I loved that it was saltwater not chlorine. The valet parking is pricey at $28, but there is a garage across the street that only cost $12 and the staff was quick to suggest it when I balked at the cost of the valet.

Cons: The first room we were put in had a strong mildew smell, the chairs had dust on them, the tile was partially torn up, the mini fridge was missing, and the bathing room door wouldnt even close. We asked for a different room and the second one was better, however you could tell they dont clean. We had someone elses sock behind the nightstand, stains on the sheets, and a pill on the floor. We went across the street and bought sheets to put on the bed. There was several people just hanging out outside their rooms. It was obvious several people lived at the motel. And the police came through our first night there, chasing a man. The second night we just left. We felt dirty and unsafe. I would NOT recommend this room to even my enemy.

Once time for check in I was told the booking price that I was originally booked for was not correct 56.75 turned into 62.00 plus an additional 25 dollar deposit. I did didn't find that cool at all . Had to park at least 10 rooms down from my room. This definitely should be explained on each and every site .
