Car was filthy inside. Drop of at BNE airport was terrible. Had to go into the airport to get trolley for luggage. Had to then go to level 2 to drop off the keys. Should have trolleys and someone on site to drop off.

The rental car company was good. However please improve on sending confirmation emails. I couldn’t find this initially and had to go back to the kayak site to redo this plus look for the actual address of car pickup. This is probably easy fixed. Otherwise all good. Thks

I can recommend hiring from them, but the car rentals web site I rented through was in US$ so don’t get caught out. Also be aware they are not exactly at the airport. You still need a transfer by car/bus to the pick up address. If you are aware of these factors, its a good worthwhile experience.

You couldn’t pay me to drive a Suzuki Swift back home...until Inhired this car. Great customer service and this car was LEGEND.

Cons:

Honestly, the insurance cost more than I expected, but might as well make sure I have $0 liability Incase of a catastrophe. Everything else was top, 100%, LEGIT, LEGEND. Insurance wasn’t even that expensive so maybe I’m being a drama queen, haha!

I had done my application online, but the Budget office at the Brisbane airport had NO WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION, so I was unable to show them what I had purchased on my laptop. Yep, that's right. I had to purchase a MORE EXPENSIVE deal there, and then had to drive downtown the next day to the Budget office and get it straightened out, and I'm still not sure that it was done properly.

Only one person at desk to check in customers, previous customer took forever to get checked in and even though I had provided all driver info online I still took 15-20 mins to check in. The car - a hybrid - was very easy to find and drive out of the airport environment. The hybrid was very fuel efficient and should be used as much as possible for rentals now.

Pick up at the airport and drop off were all very quick and efficient. staff were great and fast. Expect an upsell for the insurance. Car was great (we got an I30). Should ensure you know where the petrol stations are before dropping car back as the closest ones are a couple of kilometers away! It wasn't until we got our confirmation email that we understood that picking up the car was going to be 6km away and that we would have to catch a free shuttle bus from the airport. This would have been good to know upfront at the time of booking. Whilst it wasn't inconvenient it was a surprise. It is better business practice to disclose the company you are hiring from too, Overall we had no issues with our transaction.

From the very beginning to end. our experience was perfect. The ladies at Apex Brisbane were very hospitable and professional. Picking us up from the airport in a very clean and tidy van, paper work was quick and easy. We felt very well taken care of. Easy pick up and drop off at airport

Cons:

Exterior of car was dirty and tires needed air, had to demand a new car after we looked at the car and saw the wheels bowing out from lack of air. Terrible customer service, dodgy insurance eg claims you have rediculous excess to pay even if you aren’t in fault of any damage to the car, even if it’s fault of another driver.

More friendly service when we dropped off the car. One of the staff was unfriendly to customers when we entered the place. The bus driver dropped us off at the wrong airport terminal. When he dropped us off we thought we were at the international terminal, but we did not realize we were dropped off at the domestic airport. He did not tell us. I really think Alpha Car Rental staff need to be more helpful and friendly to foreign customers who are not familiar to Brisbane.

Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We decided we wanted to extend another day and called a few hours before we were due to return and Alpha were happy to add another day on at the same price - no excessive charge which was great. No complaints about the car either, great condition and very economical which helped with the overall expense of hiring a car!

Cons:

The pick up / shuttle service is a little clunky and adds time on to the overall exchange but it’s worth it for the cheaper price you get for shopping a little further a field.

Cons:

Car had 50,000 miles on it!!! Was really dinged up and the car had mechanical issues. The staff was really rude and the site is eastcoast rentals not sixt. The website outright lies and says they are onsite at the airport. Also they put a $1000 hold on my credit card for not taking their insurance. Such garbage.

Cons:

I booked the premium car three months in advance - they didn't have one when I arrived. They offered either a large gas guzzling SUV or a Camry. I took the Camry, and they refused to give me a lower rate. End up paying hundreds of $ more than I should have for the 3-week rental, but it was 5:30am after a 14 hour flight and I wasn't about to go shopping elsewhere.

Cons:

The company claimed i damaged the car, sent me one vague email stating they were looking into the damage done and would contact me with their findings but then proceeded to charge my credit card US$ 830.00 without following up on their first email.
