We stayed here while attending a Nets game. The room was a decent size for NYC. It was clean and updated, as was the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great! Fresh fruit, croissants baked to perfection, fluffy eggs, I could go on! It was delicious! Our room rate included access to the Executive Lounge which turned out to be a big disappointment! I’ve experienced lounge access at other hotels where the lounge was stocked around the clock and that was not the case at this hotel. When we visited the lounge shortly after checking in on a Saturday, there were only a few bottles of water (and only one type; no sparkling); literally a few cans of soda (and only two types); no juices; the coffee machine wasn’t operable; and the snack selection consisted of two packs of cookies, a few granola bars, and three small bags of chips. And when we returned to the hotel later that night and stopped by the lounge for a snack, the only thing left was water and three granola bars. Definitely wasn’t worth the higher rate. Overall, I would stay here again for the right price but would not pay extra for Lounge access.

Pros: Room with 2 Doubles for my son and myself was well appointed and large enough , no crowded feel. Great comfortable pillow top beds , very welcoming.

Pros: The location was perfect and the staff was great. The room was well- appointed- very clean, enough space, comfy duvet, robes, an extensive and interesting mini bar selection, great internet. We also liked the quirky design features- hand painted art on the bedroom wall, cook light fixture, and the chalkboard wall in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise!
Cons: We had a very hot room. The thermostat didn't seem to be working and there was no way of keeping the heating system turned on (it was winter, after all) and yet on a lower temp. Staff was very responsive and accommodating. Solution was to turn off the system and the hotel provided us with a space heater- which worked like a charm.

Pros: Live jazz with drop in performers was dynamite to come home to after a long day working! My room had beautiful wall paintings of a large bird and enormous, luminous trees - really made me feel special each day. Great place to start and finish each day!
Cons: I picked the hotel for the location, convenience of the parking garage, and funky feel. I was not disappointed.

Pros: We love the Nu Hotel. We stayed last year for our wedding and we enjoyed it so much we returned again for our anniversary. The staff, location and complementary breakfast and coffee in the morning are all great. We will definitely be returning!

Pros: The king sized bed was great, extremely comfortable. The staff at check-in was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, fresh food and good variety.
Cons: The busy intersection of Smith and Atlantic that my room overlooked was noisy during the morning rush, making it virtually impossible to sleep in past 7:00 a.m.

Small custom sized bed. Not tall enough for 5'10". Very small room. AC fan rattled all night and staff couldn't handle the situation or change the room as it was booked out. Lots of space taken up by their wellness ball and stuff. Pictures on site show a larger room than actually in hotel. Good mattress. Good shower and restroom.

My room had a smell and the remote for the lights wasn’t working and the curtain was broken and when I complained the mechanic for the day was off work so I was stuck in a room that smelled, with a broken curtain. Y they claimed to move me to another room but they never got on that. Had to check out earlier since it wasn’t bearable

Cons: WE WENT TIRED AFTER A TRIP AND THEY DID NOT MAKE THE ROOM YET FOR US UNTIL 2 :30 PM; USUALLY HOTELS LET YOU IN EARLIER; HARD TO ASK ANYTHING, EVERYTHING TO GET NEEDS EFFORT. WE DID NOT USE FACILITIES MUCH.
