Pros: The room was clean and the shower was great with a lot of water pressure.
Cons: I checked in 2 hours before check in time and they charged me an early checkin fee of $50. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels, including Hilton’s and am an honors member but I’ve never experienced being charged for an early fee. Seems ridiculous when they have rooms ready and it was only 2 hours early.

Pros: Staff is outstanding, rooms clean, comfortable-good location-easy access to Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge, subways close by, easy to get a taxi outside hotel, good shopping in Brooklyn, Juniors Restaurant is fun. Well run all around, breakfast is better than most and different selections every day. Coffee bar open 24 hours includes tea and hot chocolate. We were a group of high school students and teachers-worked great for us Nice ambiance in the lobby and lots of seating for breakfast.
Cons: It can be noisy at night but all of New York is like that.

Cons: The new decor is, frankly, tacky. The bed wall photo mural of the Brooklyn Bridge, in the rain, out of focus, makes the room feel cold. The graffiti art in the foyer is pretentious nonsense. We ordered (in the Grand Room) two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and were served Chardonnay. I gave up trying to attract the waiters attention and drank it.

Cons: Found multiple hairs in the room upon arrival on desk and counter tops. Room had NO towels until we called down to front desk. Elevators were in a sad state: disgusting freight pads lining the walls and creepy flickering blacklights as only source of light in elevator. Of the four different front desk staff we encountered, one was incredibly helpful & kind (male, mid 20s-30s) and the rest were utterly lackadaisical amd distracted by other issues, not sure what they were doing but they certainly did not make guests feel a priority whatsoever.

Cons: These are hopefully only a temporary conditions for the hotel, but there was a lot of construction scaffolding around the front door, with the associated muddy drips and ducking around obstacles. The lobby itself was at first a little confusing, cluttered, cold and noisy. There's a lot of construction near the hotel as well. All likely temporary conditions

Pros: The front desk staff was very friendly and very respectfully always saying Goodmorning or have a Goodnight. It is a very very friendly and all inclusive hotel for any one to stay at. The aloft is a perfect place to stay if you want to be near all the stores. And a very clean and safe environment for everyone. The staff was incredible and I was very great full to stay at the aloft with such wonderful people. Would I stay at the aloft again yes I would.

Cons: The booking for this hotel was made on accident by my sister. When i tried to cancel the booking minutes later, or even reschedule so that I might be able to use it I was completely cutoff. I'm sure the hotel is nice enough, but I will never know what I paid for.

Pros: I Loved the fact that the hotel is in the Heart of Downtown Brooklyn. To which "Brooklyn" is now known as the "New Manhattan". Close to all transportation (Bus, Train, LIRR,) The BARCLAY's, JUNIOR's Restaurant, APPLE BEE's, SHOPPING (NORDSTROM RACK, POLO, MACY's, GAP, H&M, CHILDREN's PLACE & WALKING DISTANCE TO ATLANTIC CENTER MALL WHICH HAS TARGET, MARSHALL's etc)
Cons: I didn't like my view ( I had a partial view of street in rear). There is CONSTRUCTION NEARBY (but you will not hear it, HOTEL MUST BE SOUND-PROOF) I DID BOOK IT LAST MINUTE (the day of/Mother's Day).. The BLOCK IS VERY CLEAN TO WALK IN WITH SMOOTH PAVEMENT. BERY NICE HOTEL STAFF FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN THE DOOR. LOBBY AREA VERY INVITING, IT EVEN HAS A POOL TABLE, BAR AREA, LOUNGE AREA, SIT & CHAT SECTION..SIMPLY COZY. HOPE THIS HELPS!

Pros: The price was great as it's newly opened and seeking customers. The staff was juggling a lot of issues, and they maintained professionalism and friendly calm. The decor was modern and comfortable, the location perfect for my visit.
Cons: It took 2 calls to the front desk to get the noisy twenty somethings to quiet down in the middle of the night. Generally the walls seemed thin and the doors closed loudly. We had no soap in the shower dispensers, but it was taken care of. The tv system stopped working just when we wanted a little rest... But these issues were handled professionally.

Pros: There wasn't much included in this stay. The tv only offered basic cable, the WiFi wasn't free, and the jacuzzi was broken. But they had no problem putting a $250 hold on my card. Honestly it was OK but I don't think I'd stay here again. There are a lot hotels in this price range in the same area I'd stay at first.

Pros: We stayed three nights while visiting family in Brooklyn. We booked through a third party site on Kayak. In the past at other hotels, this leads to being treated as a second class citizen. This was not the case at the Sheraton. Everyone was very polite and friendly and met all how requests without hesitation. The room was good for the price in Brooklyn, very clean with nice, comfortable bedding.

Also valet parking with (Vic's Parking Lot) is unacceptable not only because they leave you waiting for 25 minutes for your valet car but because they are also super aggressive ready to yell and fight if they have to.

Pros: Great location and within several bus and metro stops. The neighborhood is very lively. You can easily get to all parts of the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very modern. The room might be on the smaller side but it was more than adequate and met my needs. Great value and affordable.
Cons: My only complaints are that there wasn't a fridge and the room was just a tad crowded. But then again the only time I spent there was for sleep as I spent all my other time exploring the city. Any negatives are offset by the positives.

Pros: Clean, new rooms & facilities, great location in downtown Brooklyn, great service. Room is very small, but if all you need is a bed and bathroom, this is it. Good curtains for blocking light, great views. Papered ceiling gives illusion of more space to avoid claustrophobia.
Cons: No closet except for a small space above the fridge and safe. Not a lot of room to move around or set up your suitcase. Suitable for one or maybe two people who pack very lightly (one rolling bag). A little overpriced for such a small room.

Cons: The reception was just bad. The attended was overwhelmed by the number of visitors and we spent almost an hour before being attended to. On the second night, I slept outside because the receptionist at that time refused to give me a new access card. My wife was in the room but she could not answer as she was in a deep sleep.

Pros: The staff was helpful. I loved the snacks and coffee in the main lobby. The terrace on the tenth floor has amazing views of Brooklyn. We were able to clearly see the Coney Island fireworks in the distance.
Cons: They painted something in the hallway and the fumes were strong throughout the night. I had to stuff tissue all around the doorframe to not feel dizzy. The elevators weren't working properly.

Pros: The location is perfect and our 13th floor room had an amazing view! The rooms are nyc small but the use of space was great. Very comfortable, very clean. Almost romantically decorated- it is modern but not cold. The staff was so friendly and the wifi was fast!

Pros: I liked the illusions, particularly the paintings, which gave the impression of space. The staff was responsive, although they were not fully fluent in English. The front desk staff was wonderful! Although my room overlooked the construction of the mall, I liked the night sky.
Cons: My only issue with this hotel is the size of the room. I am disabled, and I require space for mobility. I requested a change of bed linen, and I had to stand in the bathroom in order to give the staff member space to change the bed.
