Pros:I rented an intermediate Ford Focus or similar from the airport and was offered the BMW Mini Cooper on arrival, which turned out to be really fun to drive and comfortable. The check in process was easy. We were not gouged an exorbitant amount for required insurance. We returned the car right at closing and they let us leave the car for them to process in the morning. We were charged the correct amount without any problems.Cons:Everything was great.Reviewed 2020 Aug 04

They do not look out for the safety of your childrenCons:When we arrived the Budget attendant saw that I had young children but did not offer booster seats for them. In the USA they would not need the seats, but in Europe apparently they do. That lesson cost us 436 Euros and loss oh half our vacation in Salzburg. The Police were even outraged that Budget would allow us to leave with out proper booster chairs. I understand that we are visitors and we should have done research on the booster seat requirements, so we do take some of the blame. I have tried to contact Budget to see if they would at least reimburse me the rental, which was half the cost of the fie, but they have denied my request. I will not rent from Budget/Avis again.Reviewed 2018 Sep 12

Cons:Took forever to get our rental car. There was a new person, her first time working alone, which was not problem. But it was when the computer system crashed, and lost our reservation was the problem. We were in a foreign country, trying to communicate in another language. It took almost 2 hours to get our rental.Reviewed 2017 May 26

Pros:nice car, reasonable price. convenient pick up outside train station in Salzburg. the Austria highway pass was on the vehicle and we didn't need to pay extra for this. Price quoted was in dollars - did not have to deal with conversion.Cons:Drop off instructions were poor. We picked up the vehicle in Salzburg, and dropped off in Vienna. The address for the GPS was the location of the office inside the train station. I asked the person whom we picked up from if the GPS address would get us where we needed to go, and they said yes. There were no additional instruction (take car into parking garage, second level down, and then follow signs for where to drop car), and the parking garage had no external signs to indicate this was a rental car drop off location. The parking garage also had cones and ropes blocking off the entrance. We could not figure how to drop it off at night and had to come back the next day.Reviewed 2016 Jun 28

Pros:Checking was swift and fast. Drop off was even faster. Staff was very helpful.Cons:I was expecting an SUV as I had booked but it wasn't quite that. The car was not serviced well and was heating up a bit so had to keep an eye on the temp.Reviewed 2016 Jun 25
