Smooth at check-in, knowledgeable representative, got a very nice ride. The price was hefty since the dropoff was at a different location. Understandable, I was fine with that. Dropoff: bitter. Sat 2:30pm and the Santander (Cantabria, Spain) airport rental return lot was unattended, which was a total surprise for me. Walked inside the airport to the rental office and it was closed... Dropped-in the car key with a note, hoping they'll send me a final bill without any surprise...

First car a/c was broken. Had a hard time contacting them, finally got a replacement— which had a tire with a slow leak.

CarCharge extra 60€ due to the flight delay of 1 hour, even after my call from the Flight's origin... Is not a good value for money

DisasterThey were courteous when I picked up the car. Spoke English well. There was not much of a wait to get serviceThe GPS did not work well. The car would not start onthe last day of the trip and neither The Hertz office in Nice or in Spain would help. Allianz insurance would not help. The situation is still not resolved, I have spent 6 or more hours on the phone with only getting told "that I need to talk to a different Hertz office.

Terrible RIP OFF in Spain Bilbaocar was newI booked a car for 6 passengers only to be told its not big enough for our luggage.I was given a bigger car that I had to pay for. Then I was told that the car I purchased didn't include any Insurance at all and that I was liable up to 25000 Euro. in all I had to pay approx. another $450 Euro for the car. I wont waste my time on the holiday complaining and reporting this abuse of vulnerable travellers(when they don't have another choice and cancellation is not allowed) but when I get back to Sydney I will be making formal complaints
