Good Vehicle Rental at a Competitive PricePros: The 2018 Hyundai Tuscon I reserved at Deer Lake, Newfoundland was ready for pick-up when I arrived at the airport. The rental counter was easy to find in the small terminal, and the vehicle was parked close by. The price was as I expected from my reservation, and better than I could find anywhere else. The agent at Deer Lake was polite, friendly and helpful. He offered, but did not push, optional services like insurance, roadside assistance and gasoline prepayment.Cons: The vehicle had been washed and vacuumed, but was quite dirty around all the door and hatch openings. Also, the interior of the windshield was covered with a dirty film, and splattered with what looked like someone's violent sneeze. We had to clean it the next morning to be able to see the road during sunny conditions.

Pros: Pickup and dropoff was uneventful. The car was excellent with the exception of marks, scrapes, and major paint chips missed on the service reps vehicle inspection sheet.Cons: The customer service person did not explain that there would be an additional charge of $421.00 and also tried to overcharge me $100.00 above my booking quote. My payment upon dropoff was the quoted price. Image my surprise when the $421 charge was on my Visa. I had to make a call one week later to the service desk to inquire and resolve this.

Great experience!Pros: Very new car!Cons: We had a pretty full plane and unfortunately, with so many people renting a car, the lines were pretty long. However, the desk people worked diligently and cheerfully to get to everyone as soon as they could!

Pros: Deer Lake staff very helpful & friendly. Car (ford edge) was perfect for the trip.Cons: No drop-off instructions for early AM drop-off in St. John's. Had to ask an airport employee - not a Budget employee - how it should be handled. Stressful.
