We arrived at the counter to be told there was a booking, however they have no car for us and that Kayak keep issue cars when they don't have available. No communication was given advising us on this. Absolutely terrible service. Will never use Kayak or Europcar again. Luckily we were able to arrange a car from another provider.Reviewed 2026 Mar 09

After the blizzard in the northeast, we arrived at the rental car counter after the two hour window and they would not honor the car rental rate that we signed up for. I would never recommend anyone or rent a car from this company that was terrible and terrible business. There were delays and canceled flights all morning that day on 24 February. Our flight was the first flight out of JFK after all of the delays. They had the cars and they just chose not to honor our agreement because. they wanted more money, greedy bastards!!!!!!!Reviewed 2026 Mar 07

I was quoted a price and paid the insurance online prior to arriving. The agent then tells me the insurance I bought isn't good enough and I had to purchase theirs and they held a $1,000 deposit as well which they charged me $500 for a tiny scratch on the bottom bumper. Incredibly rude and incompetent staff members. Rent from any one else but Europcar at Nice airport.! Even the so called 'manager' was a horrible person. No customer service at all and the cars are very basic regardless of what category you book. French stupidity and the inability to reason at its best. There are many other options. i rented a a full size nissan ALITMA as you can see at the reservation. But when i arrived to pick it up FOX RENT CAR told i rented a STANDARD CAR Nissan Sentra. That was a rouge problem for me because i hab to many baggage to put in. Another problem is FOX RENTAL held a kind of insurance in my credit card and till now they didnt give me back my money. The drop-off process at Fox’s was fast and easy. Suggest signage stating process to park here, remove belongings, and leave keys in unlocked vehicle. Luckily, a shuttle was about to leave, so caught a return ride quickly. Otherwise, they were somewhat slow on running back n forth. Did not like the need to take second remote to rental lot to obtain vehicle. Was not clearly explained in site details. Lobby of registration area was run down. Three agents working the counter, required us to wait longer than anticipated. Due to many foreign travelers, agents spent extra time to process documents. Did not appreciate the amount of taxes and insurance charges to final bill. What is advertised price, well add 120% as close estimate to final bill.Reviewed 2026 Feb 20

My flight got a little delayed and we were able to reach at rental place at 12:45 but it was closed. Why would they say car is able to pick up at 12:30am if they close at 12:30 without any phone support or any shuttle to go to, I spent $28 to go in uber from airport to car rental to see they are closed and in middle of night with kids, family I am stranded on road. I had to take $85 uber again to go to hotel in augora hill and then come back $76 to get rental. Very bad experience and no empathy whatsoever. The car was making noises, uncomfortable, and not the one which I was promised. I was promised Nissan Altima but was given a VW Jetta which made noises like it has been hit or broken hood and they didn’t care, their words it’s fine.Reviewed 2026 Feb 19

My flight was delayed, I got to the booth as the employees shut down their computer and refused to help me. I had to go rent with a different company. I haven’t even started to investigate if I was charged for the rental or not. I’m sure that will be the next battle.Reviewed 2026 Feb 12
