Pros:

Everything was close by and without hassle. I wanted to save a bit of money so reserved the smallest car I could even though there were 4 of us, and three are 6 foot or taller. They gave us a Suzuki hatchback and it was great. Lots of head room and leg room and very comfortable.

Cons:

The car was a little dirty. I think that's an Alaska thing. We found a sock in the back. Also something we did not know was the high price of the 5 minute ferry ride from airport to Ketchikan. Not the car rental company's fault, but a sticker shock for sure. $70 for 4 people and a car.
