Everything was ok until the return of the vehicle : 1/ very hard to find the return area 2/ airport employees give wrong information about where to return the car 3/ gate was closed 4/ Hertz agent tells us to wait 30 minutes for the drop off because he is alone or to leave the keys in the car and leave 5/ we were informed that the car had to be washed or it would cost $15 And we were charged $20 I will not recommend Hertz to anyone.

I did not rent the car because the agent refused to release the car without insurance. A $120 rental tripled and could have been up to $600

Got there 30 mins late because my fly was delayed and lost the car then I Found another one and I was asked for a $8,000 secure deposit, crazy

Nothing to like… agent at counter very disrespectful.. no customer skills…unfricking real. Very disappointed… not doing business with these people ever again..🤬🤬🤬

We liked that the car had 4 wheels and was in decent condition. We didn't like that the price was more than double compared to what it was supposed to be with the price we had on internet (because we couldn't have the kind of car we asked for and because there was insurance that were "mandatory" but not indicated in the price we had). When we brang the car back, they made a case that the thank was not EXACTLY at what it was when we left and they wanted to charge us because the exterior of the car had a little bit of dirt (which was normal for a 2 weeks rental). Bad experience!

They didn’t have the car that I reserved before arriving to Lima. They had no solution for me other than to settle for something that turned out to be the worst car for the experience I was trying to have in Peru. This was a terrible way to get my vacation started. They don’t really even care about the customer and make no effort to accommodate the guest when someone bing like this happens. They should’ve upgraded us for a similar car for the same price. They also charged me $68 US to fill the very tiny tank of the car from 3/4 at drop-off to full. The car is tiny so they basically charged me $68 US for around 2-3 gallons of gas. Terrible! They ALSO didn’t accept the insurance that I pre purchased through kayak and told me I had to purchase theirs. I basically made the reservation on kayak for nothing!

The car was not ready, and we were not offered a reqsonable alternative. They did offer another car, but it costed four times the one we had booked. They provided a car at night, 14 hours later, not the yaris we had booked, but a corrolla. We had to pay for the upgrade, even if it was not our fault. Moreover, we booked the car for ten days, and since the vehicle was late, we tried to reduce it to a 9 day rental. Thye told us they could not change our original reservation. Brief, they can do what they need at your expense, but you have no flexibility at all. They do not honor reservations. If you want to rent a car at this place, make sure they do have the car (call in advace) . Even when they did not have cars available, their webpage allowed us to make new bookings for the same day...

I rented a car at least a week before getting there. My original rental was for 11:00pm. Because of a flight delay, I didn't get to the airport until 2:00am. At that point, I went to the counter. He saw my name, but said no cars were available. I explained that it wasn't my fault that the plane was late. He said he didn't know what to say. He got in at midnight and no cars were available. Of course, that means, my car was gone as of midnight.
