Cons: This flight was operated by MIAT. I have never been on a plane with such cramped seats. If the person in front tipped their seat back it was almost touching your nose! Nothing on screen for 4 and a half hours and the AC barely functioned, so with a full plane it became unbearably hot!

Surprise baggage charge
Pros: The airplane was quite new and felt comfortable. The food was delicious and hot. The attendants were helpful and attentive to our needs.
Cons: I wasn’t aware of the $70 (!!!) charge for a second item of checked luggage. In addition to the unanticipated cost, it was a real hassle to pay. The MIAT agent at the ticket counter could not accept payment and I had to leave my passport with her as I waited across the terminal on a different line to pay. Then I had to bring my receipt back to the attendant to get my passport. Now that I know, I would try to find a different airline to fly.review from

Pros: Getting from point A to point B was fine, it was the ticketing agents beforehand who were the problem.

Pros: Food is always good on the MIAT flights. I wish that you could check-in in advance to get better seating; I was in the last row of the plane. Service in also great. The run one movie on the screens but the offered headphones are substandard today
Cons: Frustrating that MIAT doesn't partner with more airlines, since they are one of the few airlines into Mongolia. Although you may have 2-3 bag allowance on international carrier you have to pay for more than one checked bag on MIAT unless flying on Unitedreview from

Mongolian Airlines was Much better than expected!
Pros: The crew was kind, the planes were new and comfy and the food was amazing (for Airline food) on a 3!hour flight. I will absolutely fly them again!
Cons: There was no entertainment really, but that is easily delt with in today's tech age. Also not being able to get tickets ahead of time and the ticket counter at ICN was a HUGE pain, but it was fine I the UlaanBaater side. It would be great to have an e-ticket option for those people not checking bags.?review from
