Budget makes it unnecessarily hard for young people to rent a vehicle. If you’re under 25 not only do you have to pay much more, you also have to purchase your own third party insurance, and the staff will wait until after you’ve done so to inform you you can only pay with a credit card, and it has to be under your name. Very frustrated with the lack of information provided online/in advance about all of these conditions.

Staff should come out and explain the starter, lights, wipers, how to open gas cap, etc. A 5 min review would be helpful. Every rental car is different. I frankly found the guide not that good. Hard to find what you are looking for. Its safety to check all those things before driving. Not everyone can read english and french.

There is no pickup or drop off option from departure bay. No transport options outside of taxi and very infrequent busses. Bad option for those not arriving by airplane.
