Beautiful hotel. The common areas and rooms are beautifully decorated. Front desk staff were clueless. Manager was super nice, smart and helpful but she can only do so much. I hope/speculate this is maybe a product of having challenges hiring new employees as the two problematic front desk folks who had "challenges" in short (two different times) seemed either very new and while professional, simply not helpful or smart. The manager was super smart, nice and professional. No laundry bags (the usual plastic bags in a closet) in the rooms - odd - and the gym could have been tended to better; e.g., water cooler stopped working so I let them know at the front desk and said the towels were gone as well - they later fixed the water cooler but did not leave a lot of towels so they were short again the next day; also, the wipes dispenser kept getting jammed and I had to clear it on two separate days. Nevertheless, the gym appeared to be quite clean so I am guessing they cleaned it regularly but just didn't check to restock stuff at least on busy weekends. The complimentary coffee (and tea) on the first floor was delicious; however, it's not around for early risers (and no coffee in rooms so starting an hour or two earlier would be better. The valet is responsive but be aware that it shuts down from 11 pm through 7 am - they never told us this so when a daughter's flight got switched to early am, I texted for the car and received an auto text reply saying give them 10 to 15 minutes (understandable) but 20 minutes passed and no word and then received a text saying no valet available -- the front desk clerk merely said "you should have been told". Fortunately, the actual valet guy was great and had gone anyway unbeknownst to front desk clerk (no communication) and arrived a few minutes later so all is well ... just not a well oiled machine. Again, very happy with super professional manager at the front desk - she was great - and the cleanliness, comfort and look of the rooms and common areas (adult daughters really liked it.)

Cons: Parking is very expensive @ $35/per night, plus it's valet which means tipping on top of that. I paid $80 for 2 nights.

Pros: Didn’t expect a studio apartment! Beautiful clean room with view of the river. Nice hot breakfast with omelette bar. Big, clean fitness room. Great location across from shops and restaurants yet very quiet and peaceful with super friendly staff. Also Lavery much appreciate that they use ceramic plates and metal cutlery instead of single use items. Thank you for very nice three night stay.

Pros: The location is great and having both the Tap Room, Terrace Room, and room service was nice. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. The lobby is beautiful too.
Cons: Some of the rooms were quite substandard and badly in need of renovation with absurdly tiny bathrooms. More like a 1-2 star level of hotel than supposedly 4. The hotel windows didn't seem to be the usual double paned, and let quite a bit of city noise in, especially as there was construction from 8am-7pm during the week. The floor were also noisy....it seemed like most guests felt a need to slam their hotel doors constantly. Also, the lack of a minibar in the room was quite odd for this level of hotel.

Pros: My wife & I were in town for a concert at the Benedum and this hotel was exactly what i was hoping to surprise her with for our anniversary. Within easy walking distance of both TenPenny restaurant and the venue, this elegant hotel provided another bit of ambience to our weeeknd. The piano playing in the lobby upon our return from dinner set the mood for the show, and the piano playing upon our return from the show was a nice night-cap. For the price, the proximity of this hotel to the cultural district is unbeatable. Our next evening in town will include the Omni William Penn Hotel.

Cons: When we checked in, we were told since we booked with an "outside" agency, we wouldn't get "credit" towards our Omni select membership, but we would still get free wifi and free coffee in the morning. However, I was delivered a bill with a charge for wifi. When I checked out, the woman at the desk was a bit brusque about it. She said we did not qualify for free wifi or coffee since we booked through an outside agency, but after I explained that's not what I was told on check-in, she then said she would give me a one time courtesy. I did not like how she handled this, and that's why I gave a three star for staff.

Pros: The ambiance of the front lobby. Lots of stone and arches, Starbucks and a fancy restaurant if that is your thing. Brought us champagne for anniversary which was nice. Bed was crazy comfortable and I even liked the pillows.
Cons: No microwave in unit. Had a fridge but nothing to heat up food. And to get one required them to bring it to your room for $10. The restaurants and speak easy were expensive. Maybe that is me though. I guess I expected more based on the reviews.

Pros: Loved the beds! Very very comfortable. I heard more than a few people commenting on how well they slept! I didn't have to call room service for a thing! Enough towels, pillows, blankets, and everything worked! Nothing broken, nothing missing, quiet room, great view, housekeeping did a great job. Two different restaurants to dine in/even has a Brueggers in house. One restaurant was fine dining, the other an English Pub! We loved that we could bring our own cooler/or bottle of wine down into the lobby and hang out there. A lot of people did this. Just a pleasure as it's a beautiful old fashioned open lobby with big sofas and fluffy chairs, gorgeous chandeliers! Situated right in the heart of Pittsburgh! Not too far to walk to either stadium, right around the corner from the Consol for hockey and close to the bridge to walk over to Station Square. I would recommend this hotel to any adult couple/group travelling.
Cons: No pool/sauna or gym. Labor Day Parade made it difficult to get out or around the city when we were there but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Not a great hotel for children as no amenities geared towards them. Price was a bit high, even through Orbitz. I got an email from the hotel after I made my res through Kayak/Orbitz and they offered my same room for $99 per night instead of the $148 I paid (King standard room) but the hotel wouldn't accommodate the adjusted price as I had paid a third party (who by the way, paid them). Not convenient that I would need to call the third party and request that they adjust what they charged me. Hoping that Kayak/Orbitz will still adjust for me! I'll let you know!

Pros: For what I paid, I got a steal. The place is really nice, clean, and staff was friendly. I'm not sure if all the rooms are like the one I got but it had a bedroom and a separate living room. Very large space for a 2 year old to run around in. No free breakfast and it was a little pricey but worth it. I eat kinda healthy and the oatmeal and breakfast sandwiches were amazing... worth every penny. I wish more people stayed at this location because it deserves to be packed at all times. Great place, great location. Behind us was a pf changs, giant eagle market, and strip mall with useful shops in case you forget anything (like my jacket). highly recommend and I'm not a person that normally do reviews, but this hotel exceeded my expectations... Happy Birthday to me. Thanks.

Cons: They nearly ruined the gorgeous marble lobby of the Fulton Building by adding all sorts of slightly trashy 90s design don'ts to this Beaux Arts beauty. TV screens all over, a cramped, ugly bar, and nasty multi colored lights inside the glass dome. The rooms are fairly large but with more oversized, shabby chic furniture which would make Dorothy Draper blush. And PLEASE renovate the bathrooms! The fixtures are really cheap, dated, and quickly becoming obsolete.

Pros: The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. My husband and I were both impressed with the size of the gym and the machines it offered. Overall we would stay there again if we didn't have the kids.
Cons: We were traveling with two young kids (9 mo. And 4 mo.) and asked the front desk a ton of questions about getting around on their free shuttle, unfortunately they didn't seem to have all of the information because we weren't able to use it like we were told. I also asked for a crib at our reservation and at check in, which was never delivered, we brought our pack n play as a back up so I didn't ask again. The walls are super thin, the couple next to us were fighting and I could tell you all about their romantic troubles.

Pros: The beds were comfortable, a lot of closets, fit 4 people comfortably and in a good location (across the T and walking distance to sights).
Cons: The rooms were dirty; walls were dirty, carpet dingy and shower didn't drain quickly so standing in filmy water while showering. The dining area was not equipped to handle a large crowd-waitress said to give her one min to help us and never returned after 40 min so we went to 711 for breakfast snacks. Waited 30min at the bar to order a drink-bartender NEVER acknowledged us and we were sitting at the bar with MAYBE 8 people -she was just rude! She helped a couple sitting next to us and never looked our way. We left to another bar/resraurant but it was just too bad that we couldn't get service in the hotel where we were staying and inconvenient. We will look for other Suite options next year.

Pros: Rooms were clean. Staff was nice and responsive. Parking was convenient. After we were awoken by partiers in the wee hours of the morning, the front desk saw that we were promptly moved.
Cons: Not much ambient/white noise (e.g., fans) for sleepers who need it. Partiers in the room next to us woke us up at 1am.

Cons: The hotel restaurant was horrible. The pasta dinner special they had for the Pittsburgh marathon was tasteless, soupy & took forever. We waited over 35 minutes to get pasta w/marinara sauce & a greek salad - really? But apparently that was just our table because a family of four that sat next to us was served shortly after ordering (& they also got pasta).

Cons: A creepy man was at the pool and touched my daughter's face. He states he lived at the hotel. He was very inappropriate and my family felt very uncomfortable at the pool.

Cons: We reserved the room for my husband's cancer surgery at UPMC. His surgery was rescheduled a week before the surgery date, and I wasn't able to amend the reservation. I knew it was non-refundable, but I thought it would be fair to change the reservation to a different night.

Pros: The ladies working Saturday night (10/8) are fabulous. As well as the manager that was on Saturday night and Sunday morning. It is obvious that customer service is a big deal here.
Cons: what we did not like was the horrible hockey team of kids. It was outrageous how these parents let their children literally run around like maniacs. The hotel did their best to control it but it was the parents that were on all of the floors drinking in the hallways that should've been in control of their own children.

Cons: Staff member was unfriendly when I was checking in. Room was small and dated. Bathroom was tiny. Hotel was difficult to navigate through to find my room. Hotel was crowded with all the events going on. Had to navigate my way around weddings and seminar groups before I got to my room. Parking was a nightmare. I was lucky to fins ONE available spot at night when I got back from dinner. The room wasn’t worth the price. I refuse to pay an extra thirty something dollars for an upgraded room, because I’ve stayed in hotels with way better rooms than this for the same base price.

Pros: I stayed here only because of the location. I needed to be in Shadyside. The hotel itself is okay, clean and safe. The rooms are large and well-appointed.
Cons: The valet parking is not ideal: not just the cost, but having to wait for someone to bring the car and tip all the time. The food in the restaurant was not good at all; luckily, there is a Starbucks attached to the hotel and a Panera across the street.

Pros: The breakfast was okay. There wasn't a lot of choices. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The a/c was loud. There was not an option to keep the fan running. So, when the a/c would turn off and on it would wake us up. The hotel was smoke free but I don't know how long it has been that way. We could still smell it. I guess the smell was in the carpet.?

Cons: Siding was falling off the building. The pool was closed even though I was told when I called ahead that it would be open. The second day I was there, the "fitness center"(a treadmill, stationary bike and a few hand weights) was closed for maintenance. Lobby was visibly dirty upon entry and smelled funny. The tub filled with 4 inches of water and wouldn't drain after a 10 minute shower. I left and came back to find water still in the tub(it took an hour to drain). The toilet didn't flush well at all and upon investigating, I found that the tank was only filling halfway so as to use 'less water' but that meant it had to be flushed multiple times. The hotel advertises a "restaurant" but it was nothing more than a small dirty bar that had very few menu options and what they had was overpriced. When I checked out, I asked for a receipt of all the expenses as they didn't automatically provide me with one. I am accustomed to getting a bill/receipt from the other Wyndham brand hotels I have stayed at. The desk clerk flat out refused to provide that because I had "pre-paid". I explained that I had booked the room on my personal credit card but needed the bill for reimbursement from my company. Again, the desk staff flat out refused. As I walked away and turned the corner I could actually hear them laughing at me and mocking me over the request. I will never be back to this location again and I sincerely hope that they somehow lose their ability to carry the Wyndham brand.

Pros: I checked out the reviews before booking as I always do, making sure I'm getting good value for the money. A lot of the reviews were complaining about construction in the hotel. There wasn't any more construction when I stayed there in early October, 15, at least none that I saw. Everything looked newly renovated as well! The service was very very friendly as well. The cleaning staff is so nice! One lady asked my girlfriend and me where we were going because we looked so nice and that really helped kick off our amazing night. Overall great stay!

Pros: this was only hotel I could find near where we wanted to stay, probably because of sports events in Pittsburgh the same weekend. In my estimation a room there is worth about $75.00 per night. The hotel is in an office park and is kind of hard to find, but it the rooms were clean and it was quiet.
Cons: They have a restaurant and there was a breakfast buffet there, but it was not very good. The sign said $10.95 for hot buffet items and $5.95 for cold, but a staff member told us it was free and that is about what is was worth.

Pros: We stayed here the night before our flight to the Bahamas. We got in late and hadn't eaten, so the front desk attendant was able to suggest a place to order food. We had a drink in the bar while we waited and service was very good. They also scheduled our shuttle to the airport.
Cons: This hotel is in an industrial park and not close to any restaurants. If you're not driving yourself, you have very limited options.
