They closed at 5pm. I called twice before my flight departure letting them know the flight was delayed a couple hours. They could see the flight status and chose not to wait until 5:15pm for us to arrive and pick up the rental. All other car rental companies were fully committed so there was no alternative availability. I never took receipt of the rental car our entire stay. Extremely poor customer service.

They did not have any cars available. Had to find a different company. They said Kayak just books the cars even if none are available on the day requested. Probably won’t use Kayak for car rentals in the future.

We arrived at the airport in Turks and Caicos and went outside to obtain our car. We were told “Oh, sorry, we overbooked. We have no car for YOU. Come back and check tomorrow maybe there will be returns but I can’t promise you a car.” I asked “Shouldn’t our Friday reservation be honored ahead of reservations for the next day?” And I was told “No.” Paid $40 for a short cab ride to our lodging. Paid again to get back to the Payless “hut,” where a surly staff member just shrugged at me and said I could call back later. Walked over to Avis across the street and was assisted there by knowledgeable, prepared staff. They had no available cars, but the staff suggested a local vendor who picked us up in ten minutes and gad a great car fir our needs at a reasonable price. I will never use or suggest Payless. There were so many ways that they were disrespectful, disorganized, and unprofessional.

I made my rental reservation months in advance to our arrival in Turks & Caicos. My 21 yo daughter and I traveled there for 10 days. I wanted the most economical car rental I could find. I came across Payless online and they had a car that was perfectly affordable. They even called me a week prior to pick up saying I accidentally made two reservations and asked if I needed two. When we arrived at the airport the shuttle was there and drove us over to the lot. I wish I had taken the name of the woman working there but I didn't. Very courteous and professional. Answered all questions I had.

I would definitely rent again from Payless. However, there were a few things that would've made our experience better. 1. Pick up from the airport took about 10 minutes even thought they are about 1 minute down the road. 2. The car wasn't ready. They needed to clean and gas it up and only started doing so after we arrived. We needed to wait an additional 30 min or so. 3. The printer was broken so we didn't receive our paperwork until hours later. The silver lining is that they're paper free as a result, but some may want to be able to review the contract for questions onsite, before leaving. 4. The car wasn't perfect. Lots of dings, bad windshield wipers, etc., but it got us from point A to B without any trouble. This is probably to be expected from any rental on an island which doesn't actively import new cars.

Everything went very smoothly and quickly. Staff was competent and friendly. The car worked well and was super clean. Airport transport was easy, fast, and friendly. Glad I picked Payless and paid less…..😊

We were upgraded to an SUV and the checkout process was pretty smooth. A car was ready for us upon arrival and the staff was very helpful

Quick pick up/ drop off. Good service.Condition of the car could have been better. It was an old beet up car. I guess you get what you pay for.
