Pros:
Nothing. We didn’t end up renting the car because when I got to the Hertz counter at the airport they didn’t have my booked rental available. They only had a few Chrysler Minivans available and those fell into a higher rental tier hence they wanted to charge me an additional amount per day for it. They didn’t want to honor the booked price and wanted to charge me more for what was available. Not a good experience.10.0 Wonderful

Deceptive pricing online, total cost was double once it was all said and done. Also, the car started with 3/8s of a tank of gas instead of full so returning it with the same amount of gas involved extra work.2.0 Poor

The staff was friendly and patient. The car was clean and in good working order. The rental location was close to the airport terminal.Cons:
I was surprised at the counter by the requirement for a liability insurance letter from my credit card company. Because I didn't have that, Europcar's liability insurance more than doubled the price of the rental I reserved through CarRentals.com. A required credit card deposit of 10% of the value of the car was also an unwelcome surprise. These requirements could have been made more explicit in Europcar's and CarRentals.com's terms when making the reservation. Also, the rental agent spent a lot of time going over every little nick and scratch on the car before leaving the lot and upon returning the car; it felt like they were looking for a reason to charge me even more. This is not appreciated in a region with a lot of bumpy and rocky roads.2.0 Poor

A more clear price for the rental, to include deposit prices and additional required coverage prices. In the end the rental cost 3x as much as indicated on Kayak. Also, I was given a car with multiple existing scratches and dings. Luckily I took a video of all of the damage and was able to get my deposit back. The staff attempted to say that I caused the scratches and thus keep my deposit.Firefly

Cons:
Firefly does not exist in Puerto Escondido. We planned to drive around the area and wound up being stranded at the airport and then stuck in our hotel. Firefly had no explanation and kayak was not reachable. We spent 30 min on the phone trying to sort this out. There was no other way to get a rental and this messed up our whole trip.Mas By Mex

- For easy, flexible travel plans booking yourself a car hire at Puerto Escondido Airport is a great first step. You can get straight into the city centre in a matter of minutes after you leave the terminal as the airport is located roughly 2.5 miles away.
