It was time to de-stress from work, school, kids, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. So I planned a staycation for my best friend’s birthday and myself. I chose a spa package with daily services, daily breakfast and access to the spa facilities. What a treat! We were fortunate to enjoy fabulous monsoon weather the entire week which added to our morning walks with cool breezes and abundant wildlife. The food was fabulous, I particularly enjoyed the shrimp enchiladas at Rita’s Cantina and the avocado bruschetta with the best local goat cheese I have ever tasted at Sprouts in the spa. The grounds are meticulously cared for and the attention to detail in design makes this resort top of my list!

Pros: Beautiful setting. Very attentive and polite staff throughout the hotel - valet, front desk, restaurant staff/servers, housekeeping - everyone was great. The people make a huge difference in creating a pleasant guest experience, and they were all very nice and accommodating. The room was very nice, and we really liked the large bathroom, kitchenette, and desk/office space.

Cons: The bed were extremely uncomfortable, the room smelled very strong like it was painted, not good with kids. The interior of the room was not luxurious at all. Flat panel hollow core doors, basic trim. The putting green was not kept up all, it had weeds everywhere, the cups were not trimmed, the ball could barely get in the whole it was so overgrown. It was an extremely dated property. It appeared they tried to update some things like bathroom sinks and shower tile but severely missed the mark with everything else. I received a discounted rate and it still was not worth near the money I paid. I left a day early even though I was paid for 3 days. I didn't get a refund as wasn't offered any compensation of any form. Very disappointed and will never stay there again.

Pros: Location is great, right on Scottsdale Blvd and close to good dining options; The staff was all very nice. The rooms are clean and look recently updated.
Cons: The beds were not so comfortable, the pools were ALL very congested and the water in them was HOT, very likely over 100 degrees. "Soupy" is the term that comes to mind. It was not exactly what you expect to dive into in the middle of the Arizona summer. I am still not sure why they charge a resort fee, we didn't see any amenities other than what you would expect at any other hotel.

Pros: Checkin was propmt and vallet was quick. The pools were great; they always are. wonderful. My son always enjoys staying at the Fairmount he knows the hotel like that back of his hand. We at a La Hacienda and the food was amazing. The tequila informationista was knowleageble and provided great service and history of the tequilla. The casita room was large and spacious. The bed slept wonderfully the pillows were heavenly. The servers at the pool were attentive and helpful. The Ironwood Kitchen has the best breakfast potatoes and fluffy pancakes.
Cons: There were a lot of bugs inside the room. There was a cricket in the water closet that I chased around the bathroom for a few minutes to kill it. Then there were small bugs in each sink and tile. When I layed on the bed there was small spider crawling. I killed that as well. Along with a wasps nest directly outside our door. The front desk offered to move us; but we were only there one more night. I asked them to spray and reclean the room. Which was promptly done.

Lovely facilities. New, well kept, clean. Untrained, apathetic and rude staff who forgot to write down dinner reservations, forgot to order car to airport, forgot to tell the valet to bring the car around and seem perplexed by small requests like subbing one member of our party for another on a spa appointment. Very disappointed that they nicked and dimed us on everything after we paid $800 per room. One free bottle of water a day. After that $5 per—in the desert. 4 8 oz cans of club soda— $30. Absolutely everything was an extra charge. We ended up going to CVS to buy our own water. Ridiculous.

Cons: At one point my 9 year old cut his toe at the pool and when I asked for bandaid and first aid, instead of bringing it to me, I was told to go up to the hotel and ask for it - a good 5 min walk. Leaving my 9 year old bleeding - instructing him to hold pressure as the nail was avulsed, and instructing him to watch the 4 year old to not go near the pool since I had to leave them unattended. Any other 5 star resort would have immediately had me stay with the child as they either sent for someone or radio to someone to bring supplies. Ofcourse this probably just had to do with the very young staff that I spoke with. But, all staff should be appropriately trained at resorts such as this one.

Pros: The food here is amazing. All the food in old town was amazing as well. We ate at the pool two days and it was gormet delishious! We also ate breakfast in the resturant down stairs and it was also fantastic. Pricey but very good.

We stayed at this property a number of years ago and were really impressed at its beauty and facilities. It seems that they have not invested in upkeep as things are feeling tired and worn now. The pools are a sad shadow of what they once were. The waterfalls that used to set a nice ambiance are now not running. During our stay the water slide never ran for a minute despite the staff telling us it would open. The beds, bedding, and pillows were not very comfortable. We had breakfast in the SWB the last morning and it was very mediocre, especially for the price. We will stay somewhere else next time we’re in Scottsdale.

Cons: The room was not cleaned until late in the afternoon, which made it difficult to go out and come back later. Occupied rooms should be given priority and cleaned earlier so that the guests do not have to be concerned that they cannot use the room because it is going to be cleaned later on. Should have door hang tag that says "Please Make Up My Room" that would facilitate earlier cleaning for those guests requesting it, not just a tag that reads "Privacy". Also, room cleaners when they are in the room take an inordinately long time to get the job done, further impeding and delaying use of the room by guests. There was also a faint but discernible sewer odor on the first floor not far from the elevators.

Pros: We loved the pool facilities and the staff were amazing. The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere was great. We loved being able to hear the music in the evening on our balcony. We will probably stay again next time we visit the Phoenix area due to the service level you get for such a reasonably priced room.

Cons: The noise was outrageous. Me and my girlfriend went to get away from the kids and have a relaxing "staycation." People were partying so loudly on our floor we could feel the base coming from the music in their room. Alerted hotel staff multiple times regarding this issue and it was not taken care off. We were also promised a call back from the security manager and never received one. The music and yelling lasted until about 3 am (our first complaint was about 1030pm.) will never stay hear again due to the lack of concern by staff regarding the problem we encountered.

Cons: I purchased a rate for a room that offered 1 king or 2 queens, seeing as I was staying the night with my friend and my girlfriend we were going to need 2 queen beds, I was never prompt to choose between the two options so I assumed we would sort the matter out at the front desk. I checked in with both my guest present with me, even put their names on it for 3 room keys. At this point obviously I was under the impression the woman behind the counter would think "oh maybe he needs 2 queens" not the case, we received the king bed but only found out after we had made our way to the 7th floor. After all is said and done we get downgraded to fit our accommodations, promised a refund for the difference over the phone from the room once we received our room keys the woman at the front desk had no awareness of our situation and did not refund me anything. Hardly apologized for the inconvenience, blamed the woman over the phone for being new so that they didn't have to offer a refund. No carry-in policy? Never saw a sign for that, pretty sure everyone and their grandmother bring alcohol from home? I brought my beverage to the casino floor and needed it to be popped open so I asked the bartender for a bar keep and he "confiscated" my drink from me due to their no carry-in rule. Unbelievable.

Pros: My room had a fabulous view and was very clean besides the two huge bugs that were flying around next to the bedside lamp.
Cons: The check in process was a headache. They gave terrible directions from the check in counter to the elevator and I had to ask several employees where and how to get to my room. Not to mention I was on the 13th floor and the elevator didn't even have a button for "13", so again I had to go down to the 1st level and ask the security person at the hotel entry. The valet guys left a lot to be desired too.

Cons: Our girls weekend was horrible. First it was 50.00$ to get into the pool with 2,000 other people. So we had to find another resort to relax at. And then our plumbing went out and was not accommodated until we called and complained. We were told to use the bathroom in the casino and we had no place to shower. The only bright spot was the front desk manager upon check out who was completely embarrassed about how we were treated.

This hotel is horrible. There is no elevator, the walls are made of "paper", they don't have a vending machine and it is WAY over-priced. The only good thing about this property is the pool and the "Speak-Easy". The skeleton staff was ok.

Pros: We were excited to stay here because the exterior facility looked nice and the price was so reasonable. But after coming into our room we were over powered by a musty/mouldy smell. The carpet was damp and the bathroom was filthy with grime and hair in the shower. We asked for a room change only to find the next room just as bad smelling, with a slightly cleaner, although still not acceptable bathroom. Would suggest spending an extra $10-15 and staying somewhere with cleaner facilities.

Pros: I travel to AZ every month and stay at this Hotel. It's close to EVERYTHING in Old Town and right across from Scottsdale Fashion Square. The staff has been there for the 2 years I've been staying there and the customer service is impeccable. The rates are extremely affordable and rooms have been remodeled and upgraded (at least the ones I've stayed in facing tge pool.. There's a Mexican Food Restaurant on site which is very yummy as well as a Stand Up Comedy Club. Never a dissapointment best value best location! Highly Recommend!!!!

Pros: I was working a 2-day conference at the DoubleTree down the street and staying at the Days Hotel was significantly less than at the DoubleTree Resort. Didn't have any problems with the overall experience of the stay. Spent most of the time at the conference, of the time at the hotel was just to clean up and sleep. I did enjoy the ease of access being able to pull right up to my door to load and unload. I would recommend staying here if budget is of high concern.

Room doors opened up to the parking lot, not a fan. Not enough outlets or accessible outlets. At checkin they told me $25 will be added for amenities - I was thinking like spa and other advanced features. He said no, its for parking, pool use and internet. Things you'd think would be included with the base price I was paying already. I just said ok and paid. In my room my internet was so poor I could not open a proposal I had to review for the next day - instead being prompted to upgrade for faster internet at 14.95! I left and went to a Starbucks to complete my work. Later that night I was in my room and a dog next door started barking non-stop.I called the front desk and they had no other place to put me... but did offer me a refund and could leave if Priceline approved. Which they did approve. So I left. They need to reassess things. I would have put up with these things if it were a Motel 6 - which it was far from. Never again.

The shower was also very nicely designed and roomy. The atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. Elevator music and pool music were all excellent. There are pool parties on Saturday afternoons, I guess it's a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. It was a little too "college-y" for my tastes. I would have preferred something a bit more "lounge-y" but that's just personal preference. If you're planning on enjoying the pool, don't go on a Saturday as everyone is packed in like sardines.

Seriously guys? That was 4 years ago. Use a more standard format like audio line in or Bluetooth so everyone can enjoy. Water pressure in the shower was not the greatest. Cons: The rooms initially appeared to be nice but their attention to detail is severely lacking. The sheets on the beds are white so it's very easy to see the black or reddish brown(hoping not blood) spots and lines on the comforters. The desk is black granite which made it a bit difficult to see the ants crawling on it but my daughter saw them and killed them with my boot. I thought she was kidding since I never saw any, u til our checkout date when I went to grab the phone chargers put of the wall and all the ants were on the wall socket. And last but certainly not least is the staff not being honest. Now this was 100% my mistake I left some articles of clothing on a hanger in the closet (kicking myself for not double checking before leaving) next day I call to inform them that I forgot it and told them exactly what and where it was located, but it can't be found by their staff. Two sweaters should not be worth their staff's integrity. In conclusion I personally will not be staying here again but if you choose to please remember to double check all of your belonging prior to leaving and keep a close eye for stains on your bedding and bugs in your room.

Cons: As friendly as they were, service was slow... we couldn't get into most of our rooms until 4:30 or 5:30 in one case. Service in the restaurant was painfully slow. We weren't in any hurry so it was ok, but if we'd had somewhere to be, it would have been a problem. Broken elevator was annoying.

Pros: Fantastic Pool and overall color pallet. The valet- especially Anthony was so helpful and absolutley made our stay in Scottsdale memorable. We loved taking the bikes out for a morning ride and then hitting up some of the great local restaurants. The room size was perfect for 2 people and we loved the decor! We can't wait to stay again.

Pros: Good hotel. Not great but probably the hippest hotel in the area. Great location. Be ware tho I rented I room with two beds and they had no record of it on check in so I had to take a king bed. Not a huge deal but was frustrating. Also the dj near the pool is absolutely terrible and really makes it unpleasant. He talks over the music and has terrible taste.

Cons: Front desk staff who checked us in didn't make eye contact or seem to care. We were not advised that elevator was broken so had to lug our luggage up 3 flights. Pool "service" was nonexistent and I found the drinks to be overpriced. My friend later got stuck in the elevator after it had been "repaired" I communicated all of this to the manager and he was amazing. However, I feel like this hotel is misrepresented as a luxury hotel. Service and just the proprtt itself could use some updating.

Pros: This is like flying Virgin America - but as a hotel. Unique, pleasant, friendly staff. Lovely room with robes and a comfortable bed. There is a euro vibe without being stuffy or unapproachable. Terrific pool and dining facilities.

Pros: The pool view rooms are quiet, while the ones facing the street are not. The cinder block construction is pretty basic, but on the plus side, keeps down the sound from adjacent rooms.
Cons: There is really no good reason for charging a $25. resort fee, since there is very little in the way of grounds and minimal amenities other than two pools. It is just a way of charging money without including it in the room rate, which seems like a dishonest practice to me.

Pros: Great location! The Saguaro is a vibrant boutique-style hotel. Perfect for families and young people (our daughter is 21 and LOVED it!) The beds were comfortable and our room had a private patio facing the pool. We really enjoyed our stay!

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, lovely well-maintained courtyard with lush green plants, pool, and aviary with chirping parakeets. Great bar and lounge, amazing dinner. Minutes to Phoenix Zoo, Botanical Gardens, & old town Scottsdale. Good parking. Considering location & overall quality of our experience this motel is an amazing bargain.

Pros: Comfortable & clean room with mini fridge & coffee maker, good variety at complimentary breakfast, all rooms open onto the inside pool/grass/aviary area, staff friendly & helpful. Lots of chairs, tables & chair setups, lounge chairs at pool.
Cons: Mattresses were a bit softer than I like & pillows were maybe shredded foam rubber compacted into a small pillow size, but were okay for sleeping.

Pros: Everything in the room was clean and decorative. Very spacious and comfortable. Coffee, teas, bathrobe and ironing board in the restroom was a plus. Checkout's at noon!
Cons: You had to go outside to the ice machine in order to use a microwave and it was cold outside. Didn't wanna warm up any food that I brought.
