The car park is a little tight. It was OK on pick up, put on drop off they had the lanes blocked in both directions with rental cars being returned. It made it kind of chaotic. They did an excellent job of explaining the return process however, and it all went smoothly once we maneuvered into the line

Everything was super smooth. No queues, quick pick up and drop off. Brand new car that was perfect for driving around Athens
Everything was great. We did not know that Hertz services dollar Rent-A-Car. We spent a long time looking for dollar Rent-A-Car until by some fluke somebody told us it might be with Hertz. Otherwise, everything else was excellent
The staff was exceptional. Professional, courteous, and helpful. My only suggestion involves the vehicle. On several occasions, a warning bell would sound with no indication why. Once it was because one of the rear doors wasn't closed. I'm not sure anything can be done about that but it is worth sharing.
The pick up at Athens airport was long and frustrating. There were people shopping for cars like a menu at a restaurant while client like us had already finished and paid online and just waiting for the key. There should be a separate line for those that had their reservation confirmed and paid. Drop off was easy. Plus the agent tried to sell us an upgrade version once he knew where we are staying. He could have been more discrete and less obvious in his approach!
Pleased with Avance car rental experience. Pick up and drop off at Athens airport was straightforward. We received a low mileage Renault Cleo which performed well. Big enough to haul 3 adults and carry ons, yet small enough to navigate the roads and parking in Greece. Prices this year in Greece seem high everywhere, yet felt we received fair value from the pricing we received from Kayak/Avance. Would use them again.

Very good value. Car in great shape (Citroen C3). Friendly, knowledgeable staff once we finally found ‘em. Off site pickup instructions and true name of car rental company (CarWiz) were buried on the last (7th!) page of Rental confirmation from Kayak/Expedia. Early return (before 8am) cost €60, literally 1/2 the cost of our 12 day rental.
Rented a car that honestly never should’ve left the garage. Engine noise the entire time, like it was begging for mercy. The system wasn’t calibrated for the new tires, so warnings kept popping up. The car wasn’t properly cleaned, and there were even crumbs/food remnants in the driver’s seat. Overall: disappointing experience — far below what I expect from Europcar

Hi, for several years I was renting a car from Europecar and all went wey, and i was very satisfied. This time i felt that i was treated in a dis-honest way. I was supposed to get a Full-to-Full tank and instead i got a less than 3/8 tank. It caused me an over expanse of 25 euros. The car is not comfortable and impossible to drive constantly for more than 1 hour. I returned the car 2 days ago and my back and leg still hurt and in pain. I doubt if next time I’ll rent a car from Europecar

“Bad experience: Had to wait 4 hours, from 8am to moon to pickup the car, even though they had the car available because the reservation with Expedia was made for 12pm/ noon and they can’t make changes to the reservation because supposedly was a third party agreement. The car was returned at 8am. Dose not make sense!!!!

Alamo, National and Enterprise (all owned by the same parent company) are the farthest walk from the terminal in Athens. Reserved a sedan so that we would have a trunk for our luggage. Tried to offer me a Jeep which doesn't have a trunk and wouldn't work as my wife had broken her ankle 2 days before and couldn't have gotten up into it. Car had multiple areas of scrapes and dents, which isn't unusual for Greece but the interior was fine and it ran well. Was not happy that they gave me a car with a half tank of gas which makes it difficult to know how much to add to get it back to a half tank when you're not used to filling it and you can't do self-serve in Greece. Staff was fine to deal with though took a long time with the one customer in front of me in line.
Horrible. Staff lied to me. I rented it for 2 days + 2 days insurance. I returned it within 24 hours, they didnt refund me for 1 day. They didnt refund insurance for 1 day as well. They didnt send me receipt of my book, they lied to me and i will report this everywhere so people should avoid record go and kayak.
We were given instructions where to meet the representative..nobody was there. Called the office many times but English option not working. Spoke with Airport info desk who called Volta and was told rep may be in different area...after 40 mins found rep over 100m from arranged meeting point with his Volta welcome card facing down on his luggage trolley. Staff at check in desk monosyllabic both at pick up and drop off

Friendly and kind staff, explaining everything efficiently and in detail. organised pick up from the airport. Amazing value for money. Car was spotless and in great condition. Just note we had to wait a bit for the van to arrive to get us to the airport when we arrived at 6:00 am in the morning, so please leave some buffer for a possible 10-15 min delay.
They have good rates The customer service is TERRIBLE. I have rented with them many times before and I will NEVER go back. They try to charge you for the most stupid things inside and outside the car. If you do rent make DETAILED videos both of INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR of the car. Or GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Customer service was terrible. I was charged for existing damage and was told it was because i did not take the supplemental insurance they offer. I was told by an employee that he knows the damage was existing and that this is common practice as they are bonused on charging customers for damage! Needless to say, I will not be returning and fighting this with the credit card company as this is clearly a scam. Stay clear of centauro Athens and centauro overall.

Office and car lot are far from airport (~15 min shuttle ride along some single lane dirt roads) and not easily accessible to return car. No one answers at the customer service phone number, just disconnects after holding for a few mins. Car pickup was OK, but return was confusing as attendants are uncommunicative. Shuttle service to/from airport is once every ~10-15 min but can only accommodate 8 passengers at a time, so forced to wait for 2nd shuttle run on returning to the airport. Recommend choosing another company with car pickup/drop-off lot at airport terminal and responsive personnel.
I dropped the car off after hours bc they did not open until 7 am outside their locked gates and they charged me 112 euros for a collection charge of the car. The are con men and unethical

Customer service tricky. Asking for high insurance prices. If no insurance purchased they make everything seems like a problem. Even they pick on tiny dots when you don’t buy insurance from them. Overall a bad experience, I requested to cancel, they agreed and when I left they refused to refund through Expedia even though they told me they will refund. Liars and crooks.

I liked the process, the car was brand new and it was big enough to fot our luggage!
As I reached out earlier this trip the initial rental car I rented did not have properly working A/C, I was not angry or rude and the agency did eventually meet me in Elefsina to exchange the car. As I continued my trip we went to Kynthos were I ended up getting a flat tire on 6/12.. I immediately call green motion to report the incident. They became irate with me and kept stating I should not have taken the car to the island, which I was not aware of(which I will take responsibility if it was in the contract and I missed it). When I returned from the island I took the car To the shop and had a new tire put on the car. When I returned the car I turned in the keys and loaded my families stuff in the shuttle. A gentleman checked the car and I was issued a refund for the deposit. We started down the road in the shuttle when the driver got a call and did a u turn in the road with no explanation. I then asked are we going back and he said yes “the lady needs to talk to you.” At this point it would be considered in the United States that my family and I were being kidnapped as I was being taken against my will. ( I’m not sure The law in Greece) I was then asked to come back in the office where the lady told me the tire is “broken” I said no it’s not it is replaced. She said I had to replace two tires since I got a flat on one. I said I read the policy and did not see that anywhere just that I needed to replace the damaged tire. She then started filling out a claim which I did not understand. At this point I got my father-in-law on the phone( who speaks Greek). The employees became very angry and it became apparent I was not going to be able to leave. I asked them can I please be taken to the airport in which they replied no. I said charge me for the tire and let me go they said I could not leave and I had to wait for a mechanic. I then asked them directly am I being held against my will to which I received no reply. I asked a 2nd time am I being held against my will or can I take my luggage and leave. An employee then told me yes leave and take your luggage. I then had to remove my 3 kids, wife, 3 checked bags, 5 book bags, two car seats, and a carry on out of the shuttle by myself and start walking down the sidewalk to get to the airport. It is very apparent to me know that they were trying to coerce my into doing what they want because they knew I needed the shuttle to the airport. I would recommend kayak looking into this before allowing them to be used on your site. At no point should I have been forced to walked down the road with my 3 young kids and all my luggage.

Car was very old, made noises like squeaking, shuddered when driving, had no USB or bluetooth function to play music with. Was given to me empty, with the gas light on. The rental location is 6km away from the airport. I was charged for a nighttime drop-off, which is fine, except when I arrived the gates were locked and luckily there was an employee still there, although he had no idea he was supposed to help me at that time or that he would shuttle me to the airport. Overall would not use this company again.
We never received the car! The staff dint make any arrangements for an alternate option too. We were stranded at the pickup location. The reason mentioned by the staff was that since you dint mention your flight number (which was an optional field during booking) and you booked for less than 24 hours ( we booked for about 10 hours) we dint take your booking "seriously". We ultimately had to scramble and get car from another rental company and lost half of our day in addition to all the hassle of dealing!
