Cons: Taxis from the hotel.The first driver stopped the meter soon after we got on, saying "this is holiday fee.", so we got off.And the second one claimed we needed to pay extra fee for him to return after we reached the airport though we told the door man about the firtst one and asked him to make sure to call a good driver that time. The woman clerk at the reception called a very honest friver on the first day so we think not every staff is unreliable. The swimming pool and Gym was said to be open until 1PM but we were made to leave before 10:30.The staffs clearly looked irritated to wait for us to get prepared.

Cons: Evening meal was a little too "nouvelle cuisine" for our simple tastes. Thai food would have been preferred.

Cons: The wifi can be a little slow at times. Not a big problem but one of our dressing gowns were’t replaced after day 2 and my partnet had to ring to ask for one. They couldn’t understand what we said, so we had to show them the gown. All solved quickly but it should not have been something customers need to ask- room service should be perfection. We couldn’t have breakfast on a couple of days as the queues for breakfast was so long (10 couples/families in front of us) that we left and found food elsewhere. This needs to be addressed as it wouldn’t be acceptable for a 5 star nor a 4 star hotel. To their aid, the manager did speak to me immediately after I gave them feedback promising they’ll fix the issue. This is great, but it still doesn’t help the fact that we have had to miss breakfast we paid for for a few days.

Cons: Breakfast was a bit pricey, but really good selection of foods (including gluten-free and dairy-free options). You can pre-buy a breakfast "certificate" which provides a bit of a discount.

Cons: Nothing really..

Cons: They charged us for local calls from hotel room. Don't forget to press the special do not disturb button or they may ring the door 3 times early in the morning.

Cons: The free internet connection was slow, if it worked at all. A little pricier than other hotels in the area but you are paying for location and convenience.

Cons: As I mentioned, a number of services are suspended due to COVID-19 and company is taking the time for facilities renovation. Personally, it is a pity my own travel was suspended and had my status reduced from Platinum to Gold (not quite to Lifetime Platinum yet). Honestly, cannot think of what Renaissance could do better!

Cons: I am a Titanium Elite Member and in all hotels that I have been staying in China and London, I am always upgraded to a Suite Room. But with Renaissance Bkk Hotel I was not upgraded. I guess I should have opted for other Marriott hotels in Bkk. For my next visit in Bkk, I will stay in another Marriott Hotel.

Cons: The pool is basically indoors - while is on the roof and nice, not being outdoors was a major disappointment for me

Cons: Decorating tone ( a bit dark for my taste), it a little aged in sink top, side tables. The two full beds are just too jammed for 3 people, we were expected to use the couch as a third bed but it’s too small. As we indicated in booking that we need the room for three persons, we added breakfast buffets, but were told at the check in that breakfast are only for two persons, to add another breakfast will cost almost $30( 999 bath). That was a little disappointed!!

Cons: Staff was Inattentive and made me feel like I was bothering them when I had a request. Room was dirty, someone had definitely smoked in the bathroom and the smell remained since there was no air filtration.
