After paying through kayak prior to my arrival and once you’re at the rental spot to pick up the car, they offer you different options for “coverage”. First option is over $200 USD for full coverage with a $100 deposit. This is in case anything happens to the vehicle and any injuries to parties involved in an accident up to a certain amount. Second option is roughly $115 USD for third party coverage, sort of like liability insurance coverage in the US which only covers the other involved party. It also requires a $100 deposit. If you decide to not chose either of the options, then you’ll be required to give a $2500 USD deposit. From my understanding, other car rentals do not require this and you’ll already have some sort of coverage from your credit card already for the rental, so my advise would be to check in with them first.4.0 Mediocre

The airport we landed at did not have a National booth. They brought the car to us. The car was a car way bigger than the one I requested and he didn't bring it around until after we signed everything. The car was dirty. When it came to drop off they were not waiting for us at the airport the way they said they would. Instead they told us to park the car in the airport parking lot and to leave the keys under the mat. They said they would go get it shortly. Like wth. They weren't even going to honor the reservation until I said no this the price I reserved the car for and then they changed it.10.0 Wonderful

Not sure if the location was short-handed because of the holidays but it took well over an hour to pick up a car. Only one person appeared to be doing pretty much everything. Return fortunately was much better. I knew insurance and other fees would significantly increase the cost of rental but wasn't expecting it to be almost 4x the original quote.Thrifty
