- Tivat is a small resort town on the south-west coast of Montenegro, so the first thing you’ll want to do when planning a trip there is to book a hire car – because while you’ll find plenty of ferries to take you along the Adriatic Coast, that’s about all the public transport you’ll find. Car hire in Tivat will allow you to make your own way and to head inland on day trips to some of the glacial lakes in the area. I didn't rent the car at all as I couldn't get in touch with the rep in TIvat. I did find him on the airport when I landed, but I had already booked something else. In any case there is a catch with the price - need to rent the winter equipment, so in the end the price is not so good at all.Europcar
