I booked a three day car rental in Israel. The estimated cost was $177 on the reservation. Although my reservation provided for unlimited miles, they tried to limit my miles. I argued with them and they changed it to the contract terms. I picked the car up at 9 am. The clerk told me to be sure and return the vehicle by 10 am or they would charge me an extra day. "Don't be one minute late." So I wasn't. I dropped the car off as provided in my contract (a location other than where I picked it up). I dropped it off at 9 am after two days. They charged me a previously undisclosed $120 for the different location drop off. This was not in my reservation and was not in the contract that I got when I picked up the vehicle. There is no email for Sixt that is available. My attempts to get them to credit that charge back to my card were unsuccessful. Returned the car a day early, still charged for three days plus the ripoff drop off charge that was no where in the agreement.

I booked an intermediate and they insisted on giving me a Compact car. Their car level scale (letters such as D, E, F) is different from the one used in Kayak (mini, compact, intermediate). Had to wait more than 90 mins on pick-up until they gave me a car with a decent size trunk.

Finding the drop off location was very confusing and time consuming. I believe this is specific to this particular location in the center of a busy intersection in Eilat.

Cons:

Car came up on kayak as $186 but it was $290 when we dropped it off because of insurance fee at pickup that the agent said we must pay even though we are always able to decline it in the US since our Visa card provides coverage. Also , there was an airport drop off fee added.

Cons:

The kayak price included no fees, and the fees were triple the rental cost. I expected some fees, but three times the rental? Also, the car had a plastic piece under the bumper that fell down and scraped the road. It was not dangerous, but it was annoying, and I had to tape it up.

-nobody was helpful -i orderd Hyundai Accent and i became Kia Picanto -in the price wasnt assurance (so end price was 5x more)

Pros:

Nothing. Staff awefull Apparently we couldnt rent there because that was my gf who has the credit card and I was the drive. Really stupid! We went to all other agency and they where all ok to rent us a car like that

CENTRAL PICK UP AND DROP OFF.

Cons:

Cost, what seemed a good deal on line more than trebled with all the add on's,mainly fully comp insurance.not made clear on booking form.Car beat up lots of dents and scratches,each of which had no doubt cost the renters.Despite this the car did not let us down and we had no trouble.Had to wait for two hours to pick up car,opening and closing times of office maybe a problem to some renters.

I liked the car and the company!!!

Cons:

I didn't like that you don't know how much you are going to pay at the end.... Kayak shows you a very good price at the beginning, for me it was 75$ but I ended up paying 435$ at the end including the insurance which is not shown at first.... That's a huge difference in price! And even the car without an insurance is 280$ so where does the bate price of 75$ come from? It would be fair to show this at the beginning!

Pros:

The Nissan Micra is a comfortable vehicle; we were able to seat 4 adults easily, and get all our luggage in.

Cons:

The bottom line came as a real shock. We had been quoted a price of $34 for a 3-day rental. When i went to pick up the car, I was told I had to take their insurance, otherwise I couldn't rent. I was also charged $3/ day for an additional driver. Before I was done, the rental cost me $93.
