I arrived after a full day of flying across country and was exhausted. The woman handling my rental had already chosen a car which would not have been my preference. I arrived at the counter by wheelchair and explained that I needed a car with a more upright seat. She disregarded my comments and said to check the car and come back to the counter if I wanted to switch. At this point, handling my bags and walking with a crutch, this was an unrealistic expectation on her part. I managed to use the car, but found it painful getting in and out of it.

There was tape or the adhesive from old stickers on the windshield, would have been nice to not have to look at this while driving.

They made me pay extra 20$/d for being 4 months short of 25 years !! Everything else was good enough! I booked a Chevy Spark or similar car, they slightly upgraded my booking and gave me a Buick Encore at no additional expense. Can't complain!!

The car stunk of mildew or flood damage, I had to buy febreze fabric air refresher to be able to tolerate it. The car looked clean, ran great. The staff was professional. Just a smelly car.

This was my first rental with Hertz. Their rates are usually higher than other companies, so I go with the cheaper rates. This time their rate was best so I tried it. Never again. I thought they could charge the higher rates because they had amazing service, not so. I arrived to pick up my car at BWI and the agent asked where am I returning and I told her Hershey PA. She said "I don't think so, that office is closed." I showed her my confirmation showing a Hershey drop off. She said she couldn't do anything about it. I ended up having to return it to Harrisburg, miles away and creating some logistical problems. When I went to Harrisburg to pick up another rental for my return back to BWI, I explained to this agent what happened on my pick up at BWI, asked if she could do anything for me for the inconvenience on my previous rental and she said "Well, if you had returned it to the Paxton office, we could have given you a courtesy ride to Hershey. " No mention of upgrading my car on the return, or offering to pay for the gas or even I'm sorry that happened. The agent at BWI never mentioned anything about a courtesy ride. To top it all off when we got into our car it smelled of weed and my 13 year old pointed out wet blood smears on the visor. It was all pretty disappointing.

Price was good and the car was nice and clean.When I dropped off at JFK Airport, I was in dire need of a restroom after driving across New York and getting stuck in traffic. The woman at the desk didn’t want to give the code to use the restroom. I guess that will teach me not to have White Privilege.

The disinfectant sticker and smooth pick up.The pickup location was unable to get information on other locations one way vehicle selection. I had a busy day and was trying to find a vehicle in a location closer to my work. Drop off location was under staffed and some what unprofessional looking. The vehicle had scratching, some plastic missing from the body, and dirt around the passage door on the interior (making me question the disinfectant sticker).
