I wanted to extend my rental. I called 5 days before my rental was going to expire. I called 15 times and they never answered.customer service at budget was extremely poor. I was left at the airport without transportation. No other car rentals had cars.
Terrible experience. Travelled with my wife and two small children. Due to airline issues we were delayed several times and got there 3 hrs after the scheduled pick up time. Went to the office and they told me that because I was late they had nothing available for me. I was told they had over booked as well and that even if I showed up on time, there was a chance I wouldn’t get a car. I asked if there was anything available and the worker got on her phone and walked to the back. Came back and told me that they could get me a car only if I paid $700.00 cash. This would of been more than what I was quoted for online. I asked what kind of scam they were running and they told me to leave. I had more than enough money to pay, but the fact that they were trying to get more money out of me due to our situation does not sit well. Terrible customer service and experience. My recommendation is to look for local companies!
The car was the worst car I’ve ever driven driven. It had more dings and damage to it. There was lots of noises coming from the engine. It was all scratched. We called to say there was a noise coming from the engine. The lady said she would come and pick it up. We almost lost our reservation at a restaurant. She never showed up or got a phone call. Customer service was terrible. I won’t be going through dollar again not in Aruba.

When we got to dollar rental in Aruba, they informed me that they didn’t have any SUVs available (which is what I reserved) and offered a minivan which I don’t feel comfortable driving. When I asked for a regular sedan instead they told me they don’t have anything available. It was either the minivan or go with a local rental place they work with. We went with the local rental Place they recommended and received the worst beat up tiny SUV. I will never book with dollar again.

I reserved a car 6 months in advance .when I arrived there was NO CAR !!! They pawned me off on another car company . No reason. Just rented everything out already . What's the point of a reservation? Never again !!
Car was ideal fur out needs and pricing was very good. The car had a couple of minor issues, but nothing to worry about.

Super BAD experience with this mediocre service of payless ARUBA. I WONT RECOMMEND ANYONE to rent a car. You wonder why.....??? Well if you have a confirmation with PAYLESS ARUBA beware that you can arrive at the counter for pick up you confirmed rental car and the employer will tell you that there is no car reserved for your booking. And keep in mind that this stupid airport location opens at 10am and I had to wait 2 hours for them to open and than telling me that they don't have my reserved midsized car

The man who picked up the car when I was dropping off, yelled at me because I was trying to park the vehicle in the row 20 (where I picked it up). I didn’t find a place to leave it next to Thrifty and I thought I could park it at the parking lot in a Thrifty spot, but this man came to me whistling and being aggressive with his facial expressions and yelled at me telling me that I was supposed to leave it on the other side. Zero empathy with the client.

Despite having received the confirmation on the website that a car was reserved, once at the airport location we were told we didn't have a car. We were also instructed to pick up the car at another location then the airport initially with the adresse provided on the confirmation through kayak. We walked 10 minutes off airport to be told the pick up was at the airport. But alast once back at the airport our reservation was useless since thrifty didn't have any cars available
