Cons: too many"extra" charges--taxes, resort fee etc. Too big and corporate feeling--i felt trapped in there there was a long line to check in the steak house was extremely pricey but cookie cutter...we were two women (model & writer) the sharpest people in the room and they stuck us at a dark, table in the back of the room and offered us the stingest wine pour I've had in years for a $12/glass wine. there was no charm or authenticity, felt totally impersonal staff were okay but acted more like hourly-wage employees (ie: didn't really care or seemed to have no idea what hospitality really means) perhaps it was b/c it's spring break, but the other guests were poorly dressed and lacked manners I would take a charming and well-run inn with less bells and whistles, but a decent chef, bartender and some personal touches over this any day

Pros: The pool was wonderful (although it rained all week - I squeezed in one time to visit). The staff was great. It was beautiful - everywhere. Free parking with handicapped tag! This would be a great place to stay for young people who walk well - especially with children who could enjoy the awesome pool. Very easy to get to in the elevator in second tower. We liked to lights under the furniture that seemed to be motion sensitive!!! They did have coffee maker in room and fridge - but no freezing compartment or microwave. Plenty of very fast elevators!!!
Cons: It was just too big for people with mobility issues. Asked for a room by the elevator so they gave us a handicapped room pretty far down from elevator. From the second tower, it was very hard to walk to a restaurant in the hotel. We were there for a conference in Conference Center "across the street". Tried very hard to research best hotel. No shuttle from Hyatt because it was "too close", but way too far to walk - so had to take taxis. They had shuttles for other hotels in the area. Not so sure about the TV in the mirror? Maybe it was because it was a handicapped room but the only time you could see it was while using the sink - and it interfered with line of vision to put make up on, brush hair, etc. for a fairly short woman. Did not like paying up front months in advance... For this price they should offer a free continental breakfast! We stayed in a $65 hotel the night before and the room was similar - and they offered a free full hot breakfast.

Pros: The hotel room was good with most amenities provided. The swimming pool was large enough for adults and families with kids to enjoy within the same facilities.
Cons: Despite all the good qualities, this hotel experience was ruined by the nightly resort fee of $20 charged during checkout. As far as I read during the booking process and the Terms and Conditions, this nightly resort fee is not mentioned anywhere, and guests believe that the amount that they pay through online booking sites are the total mandatory fees, with only optional incidentals charged during checkout. This is deceitful to the guests. Either include the resort fee in the upfront charges or state that this charge is mandatory and will be applied during checkout.

Pros: - Great front office staff - Excellent concierge - very fast elevators - The coffee in the room was great - TV in mirror was great (yet it did not change channels or volume correctly) - housekeeping evening service was excellent when I called for more water and coffee - comfortable bed - fast operator responses and efficient over the phone - centrally located near OCCC. A lot of walking is needed as the area is massive - Great restaurants near-by - beautiful pools yet the weather was unfortunately too cold to swim

I always noticed an odor and felt it was not fresh and fully sanitized - The TV in the mirror did not work correctly and seemed to hang up when i try to change the channel or raise the volume - I had mold in the shower grout, yet this was fully cleaned on the 3rd day I was there. - safe battery was weak and barely opened to get my stuff out. Then it did not work afterwards. - TV had an issue and did not work on my 3rd night. I called it in yet I did not get a tech within 50 minutes to fix it and i had to sleep in the afternoon before going out. When I returned late at night the TV was fixed. .

Pros: This hotel is super convenient for visiting the universal parks. Your room key is your express pass, which is a huge a bonus. Rooms size was decent and has keurig and mini fridge. Beautiful grounds, nice pool, friendly staff.

Cons: New bedroom decor is a disaster. Feels like a 70s nightmare and cheapens what used to feel like a luxury hotel. Same goes for the corridors leading to the rooms. The building of the Saphire Falls also ruins the outlook of the hotel. It used to feel like an idyllic South Pacific getaway. Now the view reminds you that you're just in another hotel block, so that special feel has gone. Lastly, charging to park in the hotel car park? Really? That really is fleecing your guests. over the years I've stayed at this hotel probably half a dozen times. I won't be back unless things change.

Cons: The rooms needed some maintenance, and I cannot be the first ones to notice it. There was mildew in the shower on the ceiling that needed to be bleached. The shower leaked into the bathroom, because the original construction did not properly angle the tile to make the water drain back into the shower. The sink stopper did not stay plugged. The phone in the room did not work. Again, I cannot be the first person to notice all these. Why have they not been addressed?

Cons: Parking $23 + tax per day or $29 plus tax valet parking. Priced cleverly so you will opt for valet. Either way this cost is just a way of adding $ to your bill. Make sure you factor in an extra $58 plus tax per overnight stay. As long as you know to account for it when booking then it's more palatable.

Pros: The room and property were great! Love the décor and details at the hotel. My puppy, who came along for the trip received a welcome bag which included a very cute Hard Rock dog bowl. We would have loved to stay there more days since it was so comfortable and felt safe. The ease of getting to City Walk be that by boat, or walking was awesome! Also, for being guests at the hotel, we received complimentary Express Pass to both Island of Adventure and Universal. That was neat!
Cons: The only bad thing was Housekeeping...timing housekeeping to clean the room so it wouldn't cause a scene (barking, making the dog nervous) with our puppy was rough. We had come back from the parks and would wait up to 2 hours before we left for dinner. I called housekeeping to come in and clean the room, telling them that I will be out within the next 2 hours, so if they could send someone ASAP so we are with the puppy be that in the room or outside of it (the puppy would stay in the room while we would be out on dinner). No one ever came to turn our room over and we called front desk several times and waited the 2 hours. I guess housekeeping was MIA. So during our stay, we never got fresh towels and our beds was never made. Things could be worse though.

Pros: I have stayed at several Rosen Hotels recently and this was one of my favorite hotels out of the Rosen family chain in Orlando. Id love to stay at the Shingle creek Rosen but its always out of budget but this hotel is well maintained, modernly updated with beautiful renovated rooms. This hotel has many amenities including a hotel pool bar, hot tub, Starbucks coffe, and a nice modern club although wasnt our style or that busy on the weekend we stayed. Very well worth checking this hotel out and the staff is very friendly and accommodating! Will def stay again!!!

Pros: Bed are very comfortable, I rest well with no back pain the next morning I had one complaint about the toilets in the restroom being to low ,the next time I visit it was bigger toilets in the restrooms. The everything was beautiful, would have loved to have had a microwave oven in the room ,but it was still okay because the food in the hotel was great. You can tell mr. Rosen put a lot of love and care into his hotels motels the atmosphere love.

Cons: the a/c did not work in our room, it kind of smelled like old smelly carpet party because the room was hot. when they did come to fix the a/c they said we would have to pop open the front panel on the unit to change settings because the wall control did not work. we also set the do not disturb button and at about 830 am house keeping tapped like crazy with what i think was there keys and when i opened the door they said"oh your not up yet" and walked to the next room and started tapping. when i pulled in front of the hotel to check in while my wife sat in the car the valet jumped in and moved it twice in the 5 minutes i was inside, there was hardly anyone in the huge driveway at the entrance.

There is no parking space available, when you check in or out, unless, you get lucky and find one, before someone else takes the short term spot. No business centre, been told at the desk, it's not a business hotel. All I wanted is to print out my boarding pass. Lucky, a lady on vacation, told me, the guys booking transportations, they willing to help, if I ask them nice, which they did. Not returning here any more, didn't make me happy and welcome. I can get that in any other cheaper hotel.

Pros: This is our go to hotel for Orlando. We go twice a year and always stay here. It's a short walk to universal (20 mins). Pool gets the sun most of the day and there is plenty of space. The rooms have recently been redecorated and recarpeted. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Plenty of space for clothing for our extended stays. Hairdryers are good as is the shower. Maid service is outstanding and rooms are extremely well maintained daily. Staff are friendly and helpful. I love this hotel!!!

I couldn’t be more happier, the front desk was so sweet and I called to see who cleaned my room and I believe her name was Nilsa and she did such a wonderful job. I also loved the views from the 9th floor I could see downtown Orlando, universal and surrounding areas. Pros: Located near Universal Studios and I-4 (most direct route to Disney World). The best feature - a Giordano’s Pizza within walking distance. The hotel has an upscale, perhaps even a little gaudy and artificially pretentious feel. The rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained.
Cons: Perhaps because of the convenient location, the roads around the hotel are very contested, making it hard to get in and out of the parking. Parking is the other issue - there is not much, and what there is, costs $12 a night. There were 2 private events at the hotel the night we checked in, and the parking was over-full with abandoned cars blocking parking empty spots, and other cars which could not get out - a perfect nightmare. Finally, the hotel seems to be the location the chain uses to lure people to Orlando for their time-share presentation - "Stay 3 nights in Orlando for free if you attend a 45 minute presentation." If you are into timeshares, great! We are not. If we ever visit Orlando again, we will choose a different hotel.

Pros: They're in the process of completely redoing the entire hotel and what was finished so far was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and elegantly decorated. It was extremely close to universal and the restaurant on site was great. Would definitely stay here again.

One of our rooms had th elight by the door blow out. The same room also had no shower curtain in the bathroom. We bad to share our shower with our friends because we tried to call the front desk and our room phones didn't work. We we waited until morning to let the front desk know because it was 2:30 am when we got back to the room and we all nust wanted a quick shower and to go to bed. No one felt like walking to the other building to complain. When I mentioned these things at the dmfront desk I was told ok we will send a maintenance man to check things out. I was a little shocked that no apologies or any kind of discount was offered for all of the inconveniences. Breakfast was a lot to be desired. We ended up leaving the hotel and going to a resturant for a hot breakfast. I think our experience could have been a lot better if we would of been In the front building with the nicer and newer rooms. Not sure that I would recommend this hotel or stay here again myself.

There was only one elevator working in my tower, which was turned off for almost the entire wednesday for a contractor to work on. (I left on the wednesday morning, though). The maids and employees were using the same elevator as us, which would get full easily because of cleaning supplies and bags from guests. Also, styre foam would get inside the room through the door bottom from the construction. There was no butter for the waffles in the breakfast buffet. BUT, it was cheap, I had a great time and my wife too! Thanks!

Pros: I am not sure why I have read any negative reviews regarding this place. Our experience was great and you simply can’t beat the excellent accommodations with spacious rooms for this price. While this resort offers timeshares, we were NEVER harassed or annoyed by any staff regarding this at any point. We were treated excellent for our entire stay and all staff did an extraordinary job making our stay awesome. Yes, the property is large but you can contact or wave down a complimentary resort shuttle any time you want. Our room was HUGE, and I was completely satisfied our entire trip. The place is very well cleaned and maintained. Staff is highly responsive to any request. Will definitely be staying again when traveling to Orlando. Highly recommended!

Cons: - Could never get a luggage dolly (Only one seemed to be available per building) - No bathtub - No seal on shower door (water leaked out onto floor when showering) - Neighboring room was quite loud until almost midnight. The above items are fairly minor. The main detractor in this hotel was the "Tour" staff. Upon check in, we were told that we had to leave a $20 deposit on our credit card to hold our place at a free breakfast. At the free breakfast, there would be a 60 minute presentation about the hotel then for sitting through it we were to receive a $75 discount. Well, the first day of our stay we showed up to the tour desk at our allotted time only to have to reschedule for the next day after waiting a half an hour. The next day. we showed up 15 minutes early and were kept waiting for over 45 minutes while tour staff rudely questioned us in a berating manner about our marital status, our employment (my boyfriend is self-employed) and our income level. They copied our identification then kept us waiting 20 more minutes until I explained that we had to leave as we were now running late for a convention. We were then told that the presentation was going to take another hour not including breakfast. We then decided to get our $20 deposit back as well as the copy of our ids. The salesman said he could quickly go through the presentation then asked for our company names, addresses, employment history and telephone numbers so they could call to verify employment as he had 20 state offices he had to report to. We then reiterated that we just wanted our deposit back. He gave us a voucher to receive our deposit but we had to insist several times that we wanted the copy of our ids back as well. He finally ripped the application in half and shoved us the portion with our ids on it at us. Needless to say, we never did have breakfast.

Cons: The restaurant at the resort has AWFUL service. It is a smoke house bbq joint with a pizzeria attached to it (that's the first warning sign). On my first night there, I called the Front Desk of the resort and asked to be forwarded to the pizzeria (the pizzeria does not have a direct phone number). It was about 10PM, and I spoke to a nice man on the phone and I ordered my pizza. The paperwork in my hotel room (supplied by the resort) says that the restaurant (both BBQ and Pizza) is open until 11pm, but will only deliver up to 10PM. Therefore, I placed my order in anticipation of picking up my food. When I got to the pizzeria at 10:30, the manager tells me she never saw my order. She then proceeds to tell me the ovens are shut down so she can't make a pizza, and she won't turn them back on. Then, she offers me a pepperoni pie that a customer forgot 4 hours ago for full price. I was like "Whatever" because I was starving, and she goes to retrieve the pizza, only to come back with a basket of bread and says "we threw the pizza out so you can have the leftover bread from the BBQ side of the restaurant." So I left and searched for a McDonalds. On night two, I decided to give the BBQ joint a try. I arrive the BBQ side at around 7pm, and there is no host, nor anybody waiting for tables. A host magically appears from nowhere, and asked how many guests in my party. I reply "two". She says one moment, and disappears into the restaurant. She comes back and tells me there a 15 minute wait, but I can sit at the bar if I'd like. So I go to the bar, which faces the sit-down side of the restaurant. The place is EMPTY. I could literally count the number of guests at tables on one hand. After about 10 minutes, I go back to the host and ask for an update. She replies that it is going to be an ADDITIONAL 30 MINUTES TO THE WAIT. At that point I left; this restaurant doesn't know how to resturaunt. The main lobby of the resort pushes this restaurant hard on its guests. The food might be good (I have no idea), but twice I've tried to give them money to eat, and twice they turn down my requests. I did not like the Free Breakfast to lure me into trying to sell me a timeshare. If I wanted to buy a timeshare, I would have asked them about buying one. The grounds were kind of messy. I noticed garbage around the entire facility that never was picked up during my stay which was 3 days (beer cans, wrappers, solo cups, etc.). The room wasn't super clean. It wasn't messy, however minor little things went overlooked by the cleaning staff.

Cons: It's a damn timeshare scam. Ugh. Additionally, we were kept from getting to our room for quiet some time by a small family of raccoons who seemed to have claimed our stairwell for their own. We tried going around, but since our room was at the top of said stairwell, that proved fruitless. After a rain, a large (1"+ deep) pool of water collected at the base of that very stairwell and remained throughout the duration of our stay. Not exactly a place I'd want to become an "owner."

Pros: Me and my boyfriend suddenly decided to take a trip to Orlando. We had never been to Universal Studios, and Westgate lakes seemed like the best option. It was really cheap, there were good amenities (pools , mini golf, restaurant), and there is a shuttle to Disney and universal every morning. We booked a studio villa and it was nice! We requested a remodeled/ waterfront room (we highly recommend this, otherwise you could be in the middle of construction or facing a highway). We got a bottom floor villa and it was a standard room with a kitchenette, king size bed, flat screen tv, shower and a jetted tub. And best of all it had and amazing view!
Cons: First of all, this hotel looks like someone once invested a lot of money into it, but then ran out of money because it outgrew itself. There are so many units and the whole resort is massive. I think if they had more money it could be a 4/5 star resort. We did have some issues with ants, but that's expected on a bottom floor unit. THEY ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. I just want to make sure everyone knows this because even after reading reviews I somehow didn't know that. That's probably my bad but I just want everyone to be aware of this before booking while they are under construction. Obviously things are more hectic and awkward because of renovations and road blocks. It once took us 20 minutes to drive from our unit to the lobby. But other than that, this is perfect for people looking for the resort experience on a budget. We had a fantastic time just spending time on the resort. They even deliver pizza. That's aweomse.

Pros: It’s big and beautiful. It reminds me of an apartment complex. The pools are heated and they have jacuzzis in and outside of your room. The staff is more friendly than the cast members at Disney. We really injoyed most of our stay.
Cons: As soon as we arrive to the resort my wife and I were hounded to come to a seminar to talk about joining the resorts special club and joining a travelers club. We only went for the prizes but they ended up using two of my vacation days for information we told them we didn’t want. So if you decide to go. Just tell them NO to the “tour around the property” and enjoy your vacation.

The facility overbooked and ran out of rooms, rather than try to rebook us at a different hotel or give our money back they kept telling us they were doing there best to find us a room. Sadly we were not the only ones who were experiencing this issue, there were a number of families and couples sitting in the lobby waiting for a room to open up. Pretty big screw up. Manager offered absolutely no discount for having to wait an extra 12 hours for the room. The room we got had dirty bathrooms with hairs in the bathroom shower, stained towels, and dead flies in the jacuuzi. Obviously whoever cleaned this didn't do a good job. How this place is rated so well I don't know but I definitely will not be staying again!

Finally security was in the room and they confirm about the noise most probably from a fan but they were not able to do anything at that time (3:00 am) next day I went to the front desk and they said that they will have to verify with security the incident. We returned an hour later and were assigned a room with no sofa bed when I made the request on the booking and at the front desk. After informing the front desk, they told me I was wrong and they will send someone. A staff arrived and confirmed we did not have a sofa bed. I called the front desk back and they said they will see what they can do. After waiting another 20 mins, they gave us another room. When we move to the other room, there was no parking and the AC in the room was not working too well. This has now been over an hour since we checked in. I requested to cancel my reservation and a full refund. They informed me that I had to contact Kayak for that request. I was on the phone with Kayak for over 20 mins and they had to contact the hotel to request authorization. After two hours, the reservation was canceled and now it was close to midnight and I had to find another place to stay. You get what you pay for.....

Cons: I found a great price through Kayak but they only care for you to purchase a timeshare. If you choose not to purchase, you may not stay at any Westgate for that same value price. On top of that, the free breakfast at the timeshare presentation was horrendous. Don't bother drinking the orange or apple juice or trying the sausage and pasteries. We were promised it would last no longer than one hour but we were there for three. Parking to check in was a hassle. Not near enough spaces. Who wants to spend time in the "resort" atmosphere there when there are so many theme parks nearby. We also went to a separate vacation value presentation and tried to tell Carlos (an upper level manager hoping to close the deal) unless the offer was open ended we were uninterested at the moment. But he cut us off and said, "let me finished." So we let him explain and again said this wasn't for us. He hurriedly and rudely signed us out and was visibly pissed we didn't take his offer. Please don't stay here and waste your hard earned money on a timeshare that you'll end up paying 1.5 times more in interest. The interest rate is 17.99%. You wouldn't buy a house with that interest rate. Why buy a timeshare for that amount that you'll visit a month or less each year?

Pros: This hotel is in a great location. Many stores and restaurants are all within walking distance, including a Starbucks! Right off of international drive so many theme parks and the outlet mall are all right down the road. The rooms were nice but I wish they had carpet floors because I don't think the floors are swept because they're wells sand and dirt everywhere. The beds were full size, when most hotels are usually queen. The first night we were there they didn't turn the lights on outside for our building so we almost fell down the stairs walking in the dark because there isn't an elevator. The 2nd day the battery in our doors key slot died so we couldn't get in our room. The second night the a/c stopped cooling the room. We had drinks at their Gator bar which was nice and relaxing but when we left we had multiple charges from them that we didn't authorize (they fell off a few days later) but that was odd. I really enjoyed relaxing by the pool, although the bathrooms were dirty and had no toilet paper. Over all its a nice hotel but it felt like there were a lot of things that went wrong within our short stay here. The staff was friendly and the location was nice. I might consider staying here in the future again.

Plus really after you pay for the room they charge a 19.95 resort fee....Ive been to lots of resorts , that was not one of them. Great location at Sand Lake Rd and International Dr - close to the FL Turnpike and 1-4 intersection, shopping, movies, Universal Studios and low cost transportation. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and also competent! Buses and trolleys make transportation inexpensive. Rooms lovely with complimentary bottled water. Only hotel I've ever stayed in where pillows make siting up in bed comfortable. Bought thru Kayak.

Cons: I booked on kayak when we go there we checked in and when to our room they gave us two doubles instead of a king like we booked. I called down to have them fix it but they didn't. My boyfriend went down to try to get a refund and we were going to go stay somewhere else. But they said they could not give a refund we would have to go through kayak. So I called them no body answered so I called to hotel again and asked to speak with a manager and ended up putting me on the phone with the same person we have been dealing with and he just said there is nothing they can do they don't have a room for us and they can't give us out money back. So we hung up. 2 minutes later I got a call from someone that was a lot higher up then Andrew. She said I hear that you are going to leave the hotel and I don't want that. She said I do have a king room available if you are willing to stay. So basically they wasted two hours of our vacation telling us they couldn't put us in the room we booked and in the end they put us in the correct room. The new room was nice and spacious the only two things wrong was that there was mold around the toilet and tub. Also the outlets next to the bed did not work other than that the rest of our stay was good.

There also was a gay man convention ( we have nothing against gays ) which they surrounded the pools and the bar area, it also made my boyfriend uncomfortable to walk around property without getting eyeballed so we never got to enjoy the pool after he went to go buy a suit because he forgot his at home !!! Also we called the front desk ( because we had no cellphone service ) to find out when Univerisal closed and she told us 10 so we taxied up there around 7:30 to hit the rides at night but Univerisal was closed so we spent $25 on a taxi for no reason !!! We have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and this was our favorite place to stay other than staying on property , after this weekend that has all changed !

The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfortable. I definitely found the facility was worth the money spent. Will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Due to recent construction and remodeling, the office and entrance to hotel property did not coincide with the address of 8001 International Drive. The actual entrance was located on a side road. There were no signs. Then once on the property there were no signs to distinguish the hotel office from the convention center area. And the only other complaint was lack of parking available since the construction was not complete yet.

Cons: The rooms were nice but there are no microwaves or refrigerators in the "standard" rooms. The fridge is only available upon request. But there is nothing in the room that tells you this. Then also the security deposit fee. I'm fine with it taking it out all at once and then putting it back in there but what they did was took out 120 out the monday and then took 40 out on Wednesday morning making me overdraw my account. They should have just took all of it out on Monday when we got there

Pros: It was a great location for walking to Universal, not much further then their on-site hotels. Large, clean rooms with a fridge and microwave, nice pool, convinient TGIFridays attached to the lobby. There's a little gift shop with essentials in case you forget anything. There is also free wi-fi, which seems like it should always be standard but isn't in a lot of places still.
Cons: The sink seemed to be a little clogged, but we were just going to deal since it was only for 2 days. I think housekeeping may have noticed and told maintenance because when we came back from the park it was draining normally. There was also a random wet patch on the carpet that did dry up after a day (either shampoo or was connected to the sink issue. Both problems cleared up simultaneously but don't know if they were related). Little coffee pot was broken but not a huge deal for only a couple days.

Cons: This hotel is more in line with a 2 star motel. The building in the picture is misleading as most rooms have exterior corridors which would be fine had the neighborhood been better. There were signs out front advertising “420 delivery.” For those unaware that is drug sales. I was in a black hole for cell phone signal. I was told the internet was down in the entire area only to discover that was a lie and only my building was affected. The air conditioner was a wall unit that sounded as if it was going to take off like an airplane and barely kept the room cool. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Drain in tub not working. No hot water in the shower. No blackout drapes... no curtains at all for that matter. The staff did nothing to resolve any of my issues. I was told to “deal with it.” The only reason I stayed instead of getting another room is the kids fell fast asleep within minutes of arriving at 10pm and we planned to be at the water park the next morning.

Cons: Avanti skimps on services that make a hotel into a resort. There is no attendant in the pool area and the soiled towels and empty cups are left among the scattered chaise lounges. This disarray turns the entire pool area into an eyesore. The 4 pool gates are annoying loud and I suggest asking for a room that does not overlook the pool or is away from the gates.

Their gueen size beds were full queen size compared to a lot of 4 star hotels that are smaller and less comfortable. We had everything that we needed for this short stay. It was a plea sent visit for our needs on this one night stay.

The fee covers things that should be included with the room rate (like use of the pool, exercise room, and internet), and which we didn't even use because we were only there overnight. Aside from that, rooms were noisy because hotel is right next to the highway. It is a 5-story walk-up with no elevator, so don't bring too much luggage. Rooms and facilities are dingier than they appear online. The place is not horrible, but there are better places to stay in the area in the same price range (especially after adding the resort fee).

I pulled back the covers on the bed and there was dirt on the sheets - not stains, actual pieces of dirt on the bed. Grout was filthy, things run down, it was just a really trashy place. The beds were terribly worn and uncomfortable.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, We were there for convention center show, and it's about a 15 minute I-Ride away (but 8pm to 10pm only). Get cheap unlimited I-Ride passes for the number of days you'll be there, or if over 65, the senior rate is only 25 cents per ride. Lots of restaurants up and down I-Drive. We've stayed there 3 times now at a third of the price closer to the convention center. Ponderosa breakfast buffet nearby was good. Walgreens next door for quick snacks.
