Pros: The bed was comfortable. That’s it!!
Cons: The front desk has zero clue what’s going on. The check in process was horrible. We tried checking in 3 hours early and they charge $30 more to check in early. We agreed to pay it which was ridiculous if our room was ready. After we waited 30 Min we were told that there wasn’t a room ready. The pool didn’t have any towels, we waited 45 min and still nothing. The shower had zero pressure and was hard to control the temperature. We have stayed at many of the hotels in this location and had a pleasurable stay!! We will never go back to this hotel ever!!! Oh and the free breakfast, long black hairs in the bacon!!!!!

Pros: The bed was so comfy and the pillows too. The amenities were nice and clean. It was quiet. By proximity alone it was worth staying here to by pass the crazy Orlando traffic. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and if we go back to Orlando we will stay again. The breakfast buffet was grand and so nice to have to not worry about what to eat when you wake. Great job Hyatt, I’m looking forward to trying out other Hyatt branded hotels.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was a bit slow but it’s probably due to the eco shower head but that’s it. It was a fantastic place to stay!

Pros: Great location, with included Express Passes. Hotel overall was excellent.
Cons: The rooms needed some maintenance, and I cannot be the first ones to notice it. There was mildew in the shower on the ceiling that needed to be bleached. The shower leaked into the bathroom, because the original construction did not properly angle the tile to make the water drain back into the shower. The sink stopper did not stay plugged. The phone in the room did not work. Again, I cannot be the first person to notice all these. Why have they not been addressed?

Cons: Found out the pool was closed for planned renovations only upon our check in. No previous notice. Kayak package didn't include park tickets; buying a cheaper package thru Kayak does not include everything that buying through Universal does TV in room didn't work. Had to complain twice and have twonvisit from engineering. After long day at parks (great days) disappointing to not be able to just relax by pool or in room

Pros: This hotel is super convenient for visiting the universal parks. Your room key is your express pass, which is a huge a bonus. Rooms size was decent and has keurig and mini fridge. Beautiful grounds, nice pool, friendly staff.
Cons: The beds/pillows are not very comfortable. While the pool area is nice, I wish there were a second “quiet,” or adult pool with additional hot tub. This hotel certainly caters to families, but not everyone has kids, and something less chaotic for relaxing would have been nice.

Pros: Fortunately we were able to get a last minute reservation which turned out fantastic . Convenient, clean, helpful. Staff was very friendly. Included fast pass definitely compensates. Safety measures taken with hotel key iD's gave further comfort.

I think this was probably because they were so busy due to it being Christmas, because I've stayed here twice before and never experienced issues before. Still disappointing though, for the price you pay to stay here, you don't expect any snags.

Cons: New bedroom decor is a disaster. Feels like a 70s nightmare and cheapens what used to feel like a luxury hotel. Same goes for the corridors leading to the rooms. The building of the Saphire Falls also ruins the outlook of the hotel. It used to feel like an idyllic South Pacific getaway. Now the view reminds you that you're just in another hotel block, so that special feel has gone. Lastly, charging to park in the hotel car park? Really? That really is fleecing your guests. over the years I've stayed at this hotel probably half a dozen times. I won't be back unless things change.

Pros: Universal early entry and express passes are invaluable. Spotless hotel and pecable staff. Room clean but small (then again you are only in to a very short time).
Cons: Parking $23 + tax per day or $29 plus tax valet parking. Priced cleverly so you will opt for valet. Either way this cost is just a way of adding $ to your bill. Make sure you factor in an extra $58 plus tax per overnight stay. As long as you know to account for it when booking then it's more palatable.

Pros: The room and property were great! Love the décor and details at the hotel. My puppy, who came along for the trip received a welcome bag which included a very cute Hard Rock dog bowl. We would have loved to stay there more days since it was so comfortable and felt safe. The ease of getting to City Walk be that by boat, or walking was awesome! Also, for being guests at the hotel, we received complimentary Express Pass to both Island of Adventure and Universal. That was neat!
Cons: The only bad thing was Housekeeping...timing housekeeping to clean the room so it wouldn't cause a scene (barking, making the dog nervous) with our puppy was rough. We had come back from the parks and would wait up to 2 hours before we left for dinner. I called housekeeping to come in and clean the room, telling them that I will be out within the next 2 hours, so if they could send someone ASAP so we are with the puppy be that in the room or outside of it (the puppy would stay in the room while we would be out on dinner). No one ever came to turn our room over and we called front desk several times and waited the 2 hours. I guess housekeeping was MIA. So during our stay, we never got fresh towels and our beds was never made. Things could be worse though.

Cons: There was a mildew smell in our room. I was walking around barefoot and there were several large wet spots on the carpet. Really gross. So that explained the smell. We were in too big of a rush to get to our event to be able to request a different room.

Pros: PBH was the best choice for our visit to Universal Studios Orlando. The restaurants were great. The one we went to had a musical that was an initiate source of classic italian songs. The room was over the top amazing (we stayed in the presidenta suite). The staff was friendly, accomodating and inviting.

Cons: I made some recommendations when I made my reservation. We had three rooms and were told we were in the West wing close to the transportation, we ended up on the east wing as far away from the transportation as possible. They didn't do anything to rectify the problem, just told me that it was on the reservation but the rooms were full.

Pros: The lazy river was the most relaxing, after a day out. Buses to the Universal parks was handy. Nice looking hotel inside and outside. Security patrol on the parking lot at night time.
Cons: Had to buy the tubes for the lazy river, or bring your own. Staff just doing their job, but not make you feel welcome. There is no parking space available, when you check in or out, unless, you get lucky and find one, before someone else takes the short term spot. No business centre, been told at the desk, it's not a business hotel. All I wanted is to print out my boarding pass. Lucky, a lady on vacation, told me, the guys booking transportations, they willing to help, if I ask them nice, which they did. Not returning here any more, didn't make me happy and welcome. I can get that in any other cheaper hotel.

Pros: The theme of this property is really fun. From the lobby, to the pool, food court and rooms. We love staying here. Never have to wait long for a bus to the parks. My husband uses a scooter and everyone is always very helpful. I can't wait to go back. It's very comfortable with plenty of places to relax. Our last night there they were playing movies by the pool. So much fun!!!!

Early admission and bus transport to park made All the difference in our Harry Potter experience! Pros: The Cabana Bay was everything you look for in a theme park hotel: super convenient, great pool, with on-site cafeteria and souvenir shops. The park shuttle bus came by every few minutes and the ride was quick.
Cons: The lazy river at the Continental/Americana pool requires you to buy inner tubes, which only got a couple of uses from us. it would be more efficient to allow guests to borrow them.

Pros: Fun theming especially for baby boomers. I would rate the hotel as slightly above a Disney value resort with the theming, facilities and location/ transportation all just a little better.
Cons: The location is not very convient to the parks and transportation was good but like any bus system there was a wait. With such high traffic roads I can see why walking is not a good option. All in all if staying in site again I would make a different choice.

Pros: This is our go to hotel for Orlando. We go twice a year and always stay here. It's a short walk to universal (20 mins). Pool gets the sun most of the day and there is plenty of space. The rooms have recently been redecorated and recarpeted. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Plenty of space for clothing for our extended stays. Hairdryers are good as is the shower. Maid service is outstanding and rooms are extremely well maintained daily. Staff are friendly and helpful. I love this hotel!!!

Pros: The hotel was very well maintained and clean. It has been recently remodeled, and everything seemed fresh. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is very close to Universal Studios. We could see the Volcano directly across I-4 from our room. We were on the 9th floor, and the view was great.

I couldn’t be more happier, the front desk was so sweet and I called to see who cleaned my room and I believe her name was Nilsa and she did such a wonderful job. I also loved the views from the 9th floor I could see downtown Orlando, universal and surrounding areas. I usually stay at higher star hotels but this one had to be one of my favorites so far and it was so affordable and free parking.

Pros: This isn't the first time we stayed here. love the shogun restaurant it's always a great time and great food. unfortunately the housekeeping staff does not obey the 11 o'clock checkout time we went to breakfast at the hotel and we came back all of our stuff Was thrown away even putting do not disturb sign up dod not stop the staff from going in our room way before checkout and emptying our liquor bottle and throwing away our food on the fridge and items we had gotten from universal that was on the table and nightstand. Also so not waste your money at the bar. I drink very often and can guarantee you their alcohol is water downed. We w took shots and didn't feel anything. We bought a bottle at the store on premise and that was what the housekeeping threw away. The sushi bar was excellent fresh and yummy.

The decor is out dated in the corridors and the room, feels like they brought in six million somkers and let them somke away, not good. The pillows are not pillows in the room they are cushions why!! The AC unit is to load, barely get through the night with the noise. The biggest issue we had was the shower, it felt like you may as well go outside and wait for rain to wash the shower gel/soap away. Reported this to reception, who said they will get it looked at, and nothing changed, make sure you add an extra 15-30 minutes to make sure you feel clean from soap. BW - you need to get this sorted, and fix the water pressure.

Cons: Perhaps because of the convenient location, the roads around the hotel are very contested, making it hard to get in and out of the parking. Parking is the other issue - there is not much, and what there is, costs $12 a night. There were 2 private events at the hotel the night we checked in, and the parking was over-full with abandoned cars blocking parking empty spots, and other cars which could not get out - a perfect nightmare. Finally, the hotel seems to be the location the chain uses to lure people to Orlando for their time-share presentation - "Stay 3 nights in Orlando for free if you attend a 45 minute presentation." If you are into timeshares, great! We are not. If we ever visit Orlando again, we will choose a different hotel.

Cons: None of the elevators were operational and we were in the tower on the 8th floor. Notified the desk and no one ever came to resolve the issue or offer assistance, Front desk attendant had an attitude from the moment I stepped up. Took 45 minutes to get me checked in cause they couldn't find my Kayak reservation. Shower head 5ft. from the floor...I'm 6-4 ....When you remodel a hotel, don't be a cheapskate..update the fixtures to todays standards.

Pros: The price was the only good part but you get what you paid for. The website is deceiving because it shows the renovated tower and the rooms there.
Cons: Carpet was dirty. Hallways had trash and filth. Room service only left 1 towel and no soap or shampoo after 1st night. Hotel is located close to resorts but is in the ghetto. Police had someone pulled over in the parking lot. Pool area was not cleaned with trash, plastic bags, teeth flossers, you name it--- it was there. Pay more money and stay somewhere else

Pros: It was very central for everything we wanted to see and do in Orlando with the I Ride Trolley and Lynx bus stops directly outside the hotel. The lady who provided maid service was very nice and helpful. The waiter in the restaurant was very friendly.
Cons: Did not like the fact that they deducted $50 from my mastercard cash passport card on checking in (which we did not spend any of ) and when we checked out we assumed the $50 dollars would be put back immediately but they informed us that this will take 7 - 10 days, this seems very unfair as the amount was deducted instantly and should be put back instantly and we were not informed of this either when we booked or on checking in that this would take so long to be repaid. Also they advertise a free shuttle to theme parks which was one of the reasons we went there, at first we could not get on to this shuttle then we did get on it but it very rarely arrived on time and was very disorganised. The decor of the room was poor and the tower block that we were in was very dated. The staff on the reception desk were not very helpful or friendly.

Cons: Didn't get the room I booked and they did nothing to even try to accommodate me, booked pool view...got dumpster view, room was in horrible and old condition but organized, broken outlets, waited in line for over 30 minutes to check-in, had to park on the complete opposite side of the entire hotel area because parking situation is horrendous, despite 3 elevators, only 1 or 2 seemed to be working and they took very long, easier and faster to take the stairs, which were filthy. Pictures are very deceiving! I will be writing to the hotel manager/company as well. Very disappointed, feel robbed of my hard earned money. At over $120-some odd dollars per night, I expected more.

Pros: There was mold everywhere, the mirrors had black streaks all over them. The ice machine did not work and the room smelled disgusting. The pictures of the "resort" online were nothing like what we stayed in. I would advise to never ever here. it is disgusting. Old, dingy and not worth the money.

Pros: The rooms were clean and prepared and the shower/bath had nice water pressure and hot water right away. Plus the AC worked well. They also had three different density pillows, which is a great plus as most places have only one size and often it's too big for me.
Cons: The building wasn't brand new so some things were as expected, such as the door in the bathroom would stick on the tile so you needed to push it through harder. NO problem.

Cons: Do not stay here. The rooms are not what the pictures show. The fans do not work in the rooms (we stayed in 3 diff rooms). The motor in the fans were broken and kept us awake. The food in the restaurant was not good (especially the breakfast). The lowest standards Ive ever seen in a hotel. Please never stay here. I paid a lot of money for these rooms $70.00 for nothing basically).

Cons: No parking half parking lot under construction or used as storage, quest were parking on the lawn and medians. I reserved a single king size room got a double with queens, complained and was told we are all booked up and I could always come back the next afternoon and request a room change which I didn't have time to do. Shower had little to no pressure. Hallways and balconies were cluttered and dirty. Elevators slow. Just overall would ave had better service and time and value for my money if I had stayed at a motel 6

Cons: I should of have gotten the hint when there were 2 people at the front desk next to us complaining about their rooms and how dirty it was!!!! Our room had a really bad stench. The carpets were dirty, there were no towels soap or any kind of shampoo or conditioner (even though I bring mine it's nice to see when you pay for a room). The worst part about the room was the bathroom the tub was absolutely filthy. I wouldn't even put a random stray cat in there to wash!!! Just filthy. Toilet seat had hair on it!!! Overall horrible experience will never go there again Id rather fly to Afghanistan and sleep in a hotel there before I go back to this place!

Cons: The room was not what I was expecting. The outside and inside looked more like a rundown motel than a ‘resort’ like their name suggests. There seem to be no insulation between the walls or outside because I could hear conversations clear as day. There was a dead bug and stains on the sheets, hair on a face towel, and water stains on the ceiling. Sad to say, I won’t be returning to Avanti and can’t recommend it.

Pros: Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Cheap cab fare to universal studios and the Orange county convention center. Nice view from our room!
Cons: Continental breakfast was weak - consisted of toast, Cheerios, bad coffee, and bananas. Front desk was awkward - did not inform us about breakfast or even where our room was when we checked in.

Cons: Breakfast did not include eggs and pancakes at all even staying in the suite rooms. Terrible! I paid more for the suite and got the same breakfast of standard rooms, because I was directed by the receptionist to that location. I never got the full amount of towels I requested for all the guests I had to call several times to get coffee refills and towels. They frequently forgot the rugs for the restrooms as well. And the staff treatment at the reception was terrible, cold and uninterested on the guests needs. I was best treated by the people who worked as custodians than the receptionists.

Pros: The location is great, not two far from the theme parks and right by the commercial boulevard where all the restaurants and night time places are. There is nice and free parking space in the hotel. The free breakfast was simple but good. The rooms where clean.
Cons: The AC was old and did not work well. The place was half under construction, we stayed in the 11th floor with only one working elevator and it was terrible.

Cons: Front desk staff was not very friendly, and rooms were dirty, but the worst thing was the bedbugs we found in both of our beds our second night there. We were moved to another room a few doors down in the middle of the night without even an apology from the staff. I brought it up to the front desk staff the next day and was completely blown off. I sent an email and the response was "Guest complaint. Have a wonderful day!" This hotel clearly has no interest in the well-being or comfort of it's guests. With so many other hotel options in Orlando, stay far, far away from this one!!

Cons: No me gusto la diferencia que hay, para tratar a los gues, hay dos torres, a la torre nort, los tratan con mas consideracion, porque pagaron un poco mas, que los que compramos en Kaya, el elevador no trabajo por dos dias, y tuve que suvir a un diez (10) floor, y bajar, me queje, y me bajaron al primer floor, que fue peor, me dieron un room que estaba serca de los empleado de limpieza, y el pasillo oscuro. Esas vacaciones fueron horrible por escojer un hotel tan malo como el Ramada Resort. Nunca mas volvere a ese hotel, y no le recomiendo a nadie que valla.

Pros: The price we were able to get through Kayak. How close it was to the lark we were going to.
Cons: We were in the building that is being remodeled. The elevator was slow and made noises. The was construction material all around. There was a garbage bag of garbage outside our rooms. When we came back from the park, parking was full and we had to park in front of a tattoo shop in a strip mall. We had two rooms with only one car and didn't even have one parking spot. One of our rooms had th elight by the door blow out. The same room also had no shower curtain in the bathroom. We bad to share our shower with our friends because we tried to call the front desk and our room phones didn't work. We we waited until morning to let the front desk know because it was 2:30 am when we got back to the room and we all nust wanted a quick shower and to go to bed. No one felt like walking to the other building to complain. When I mentioned these things at the dmfront desk I was told ok we will send a maintenance man to check things out. I was a little shocked that no apologies or any kind of discount was offered for all of the inconveniences. Breakfast was a lot to be desired. We ended up leaving the hotel and going to a resturant for a hot breakfast. I think our experience could have been a lot better if we would of been In the front building with the nicer and newer rooms. Not sure that I would recommend this hotel or stay here again myself.

Cons: My spouse felt something bite her while in bed. Yes it was a bed bug! I killed it and showed them pictures taken from my cell phone. I left it laying dead on the pillow. They denied that they saw it for two days , then said they would refund my credit card.

Cons: The hair dryer blew up (and the whole room filled with smoke) while my GF was getting ready to go out, this delayed us a lot. No maintenance came until I went downstairs and made sure I did not came up without someone. (one of the guys did not have his radio, other was on break). There was only one elevator working in my tower, which was turned off for almost the entire wednesday for a contractor to work on. (I left on the wednesday morning, though). The maids and employees were using the same elevator as us, which would get full easily because of cleaning supplies and bags from guests. Also, styre foam would get inside the room through the door bottom from the construction. There was no butter for the waffles in the breakfast buffet. BUT, it was cheap, I had a great time and my wife too! Thanks!

Cons: There are two buildings; one is new and the other is in desperate need of updating. Sink handle fell of whilr washing my hands. Maintenance came in and put it back on telling me not to move it so much. There is no fan in the bathroom and parts of the celing and starting to come off. The AC unit is also extremely loud and does not cool the room. Be sure to request the new building cause the old one is terrible.
