Everything was great except the cleanliness of the vehicle. Last renter left hard mucus (boogers) on two different spots on driver side. They didn’t bother with wiping down steering column. Gross!

The car I rented was not fully cleaned inside or out, there was nowhere to make damages on the vehicle prior to rental. The gas tank was only filled to 3/4 when I received it.

I asked for a Toyota Camry or equivalent. They had one, but the agent asked if I wanted to be bumped up to a BMW 3. Between him wearing a mask, having a glass wall between us, him speaking rather quietly and me being 75, I thought he said "free upgrade". Turns out it cost me $150 for three days. Nice car but I didn't need the upgrade and would have declined had he communicated more clearly. Other than that, not a bad experience.

The only downside to my experience was being quoted the cost, paying it upfront and then having it double after the rental. Still try to navigate Sixt’s support which has so far been akin to climbing Mt. Everest.

I waited in line for two and a half hours to pick up my car. No other rental car company had a line anywhere near that long. Some had no line at all. Budget staff said, “From May to October, this is how it is.” Well. Btw, Budget and Avis are the same company, and Avis’s line was the next longest after Budget’s.

The car itself was fine. I, along with dozens of other people, waited 2 hours in line at SeaTac to get our cars. They had 10+ counters to check people out but only 3 people working. After about an hour in line 2 more customer service people arrived but soon after that 1 left leaving only 4. It was awful. When I finally got to check out the rep told me the car was full of gas, and to return it that way, standard procedure. The car was in fact nearly empty. I had to take another 30 minutes to find an employee in the car park area to make a note in the computer. That didn’t help, when I turned the car back in they still attempted to charge me 75$ for gas. That was all pretty awful but ok, not the end of the world. Here’s the kicker. I was supposed to pay 126$ for a one way rental from the Seattle airport to the Spokane airport. This was confirmed with the customer service rep at the counter. I returned the car to the Spokane airport 2 hours earlier than scheduled. Went through the standard check out process. A few hours later I look at my credit card statement and see that they’ve charged me 650$ for the rental. Naturally I call. The rep on the phone tells me that I was charged 75$ for gas and 450$ for returning the car at the wrong location in Seattle. I of course told her that I have my confirmation email stating that I was dropping the car off at the Spokane airport. She tells me that on July 19 the reservation was changed. Here’s the thing, I was on a plane, flying to the UAE then into the U.S. on the 19th, it’s a 22 hour flight in total. I asked her who changed my reservation, since no one knew my travel plans as far as who, where or even if I rented a car. She said it only shows as a system update. However, remember earlier in the post when I noted that the customer service rep at the counter had verified the return location? So that made no sense. Bottom line I was charged 335$ in total for a 126$ rental. I will of course take this up with my credit card company as soon as the transactions have all cleared my account. Don’t rent from this company, save yourself the headache and pain and just pay an extra few dollars up front for your rental. This is the only review I’ve ever written about anything, I hope this helps someone not have to go through what I did.

I found my rental reservation cxld. Not sure how that happened. Agent was helpful in getting me a car well van. She wasn’t friendly, just all business and seemed in a hurry to move me on. I explained about dropping the van off in Evertt WA. No instructions given. I get to Everytt following the Google maps and arrive at airport. Airport attendant out front told me put the van in the parking lot and drop the keys in the dropbox inside the brown building. as I was going in the building, another airport employee said to do the same thing so I did. then another employee came along and I asked where the car rental was and he said off of the airport and there’s the phone number. the number that I had so I called and spoke with a budget representative and explain the situation and was told to leave the parking slip in the window of the van. it would’ve been nice to have had some instructions regarding drop off. I wish I had asked the agent at SeaTac but because of her unfriendly attitude I figured I better just go on my way. Other than that the van was great.

The car was fine with good gas mileage. However, the gas tank was half full when I entered the car and them filling it added unnecessary time and hassle to my pick up experience. Totally avoidable and lame.
