Do your research and avoid high pressure to spend morePros:Availability. Renting a car makes life easier when traveling abroad. Driving in Europe is great!Cons:Always a stressful experience with high pressure to get insurance for a lot more money and all the horrible things you’d go thru if you do not get it. Save it and do your research back at home if your insurance or credit card covers it and what you need to do in case you need to use it. Car was not filthy but certainly not cleaned before giving it to us. i Car had bad damage on the body on one side. No big deal but, with all the high pressure sales, makes you wonder if you are going to be blamed for it necessitating lots of descriptions, pictures, and recording of facts from the get go. Not a way to start the day and experience. Ugh! Staff at pick up office highly sales oriented and somewhat condescendent. Did not buy the extra insurance which was ridiculously high. We knew the credit card company would cover us if needed but the stress was still there.Reviewed 2018 Oct 15

Cons:Our experience trying to complete our Online rental in Rovinj was so high- pressured and stressful that we walked out without a car. They insisted on adding additional charges and claimed our credit card was being denied, even though we had our credit card company on the phone insisting they would approve the charge if it came through. This was no way to enjoy a vacation, so we left and rented a car from Enterprise Rentals, stress-free and for much less money, because they weren't adding hidden fees.Reviewed 2018 Jul 08

Cons:I made rental car reservation on priceline.com on 07/27/2017 with SIXT to pick up in Rvinj, Croatia on 09/02/2017 and drop off in Split, Croatia on 09/11/2017 and paid in full $196.31 (166.33 EUR). At the time of this on–line reservation I was offered and accepted Rental Car Damage Protection from Allianz and bought it for $90.00. At the SIXT office in Rovinj, Croatia, an agent told me this coverage is not acceptable and we must to make a deposit of 3600.00 EUR or buy coverage from rental company. Otherwise he refused to give me a car. I tried to make a deposit three times using my Citi Bank Credit Card and Capital One Credit Card, but all three transactions were declined. My wife Ms. Liliya Korenkov as a primary card holder, called Citi Bank and bank representative told her there were no transactions received by bank to be declined and renting a car using this credit card doesn’t need additional insurance. Also Capital One sent an e-mail:” Auto rental coverage comes with your card”. Under his pressure I agreed to lesser deposit (1400.00 EUR). The transaction was processed by Citi Bank smoothy. While we were waiting for the response from our bank another customer was brought into same situation with the same result. On 09/10/2017 at Trogir, near Split, on about 2pm, the Low Oil Warning Message appeared on display. I turned to the nearest gas station to check the oil level. There was not oil in the engine. I called customer service number and was advised to buy oil at nearest gas station or bring the car to rental office. I bought the can of diesel oil for 5.33 EUR, and added oil to the engine. It looks like this rental company did not do mechanical inspection of their cars and might put customer in very dangerous situation. On 09/11/2017 upon returning the car at Split Airport SIXT office company employee Ms. Ana Soza told us this is wrong practice and all extra charges will be removed. I told manager about oil problem and was not offered reimbursement for my expenses. Final receipt was not issued to us. The charged of $123.28 was posted on the credit card account next day.Reviewed 2017 Oct 30
