The car was old 2017 thought I was told 2020. The car drifted tremendously to the right on the highway, wipers bad, no water for wipers, headlight too weak. When I contacted Payless they saw my message and never responded. Bad experience

Your partner in Timisoara Airport is a scammer!!! We did the reservation by you, the he asked so many extra taxes! From the about 45$ initialy offer from KAYAK at the desk they asked for 180 Euro + 1600 euro deposit(as guarantee). I mention that I am traveling artist www.lorenzo-cristian.ro we do rent cars often. It never happened to reserve a car at one price and at pick up to find extra costs that must payed. Most of time there are some extras as options but never mandatory. And the deposit is ridiculose!!! We got to go next door, at autonom.com and took the car cheaper and with 600 deposit. PS in front of us was a family argumenting with them for over 40 minutes (we wait)... they had no choise, but to accept all those extras payments because they allready payed the reservation. So they have to pay the extras or to loose the reservation payment. That was a scandal of 40 minutes! They apply taxes as: - sunday pickup 10 euros! But when reservation was made you did see it was for sunday! Why did not mention that in the offer??? Why you saying it only at office? - one day roads tax 10 euro! How come is that???? In Romania a vigneta costs less that 6 euro/week. - We don„t have the Volvo or similar, but we give an Opel astra (smaller) but costs 80 euro/day - 80 euro tax... because we opted to drop it at the other Airport office. But when we reserved the car we have mentioned in the reservation: PickUp Timisoara Airport - Drop Off Cluj Napoca Airport. So it is scamm! Take action if not you will gett the negative feedback.

Size of the car was goodEverything, my worst experience ever. Do not rent from here under any circumstances. The car stank of cigarets and they refused to give me another. I choose to rent the car without extra insurance and to put a 600eur deposite if something would happen. When i arrived they told me that i can not get the car without buying extra insurance?!?! They gave me the car with NO gas (i have picture proof) even tho my booking says FULL to FULL. When i told it to the company they said “the normal is no gas to no gas”! Wtf!?! How stupid can you be?! When i told them that this is basically fraud, the womman in the counter said “well sometimes it happens”. Like its okay too fraud your customers? Listen to my advice, if its 300eur more expensive at for example europecare, take it. This is not worth the fighting and the humiliation they put the customers through. In the end i feel bad for the Romanian people, its people like this that gives the wonderful Romanian people a bad reputiation all over the world. This kind of people in this car rental company would sell their mother for 20eur.. its so sad

Even though we called and confirmed reservation with Payless, and the local office in Timisoara, they still said there was no cars available. Then when it was time to pay, the Timisoara tacked on a bunch of fees and we ended up paying triple what we had reserved it for. The agent told us to either pay or leave.

it ran.WAS NOT a BMW equivalent as advertised. 210,000 mile, old, no horn, dirty, tire low on air, 1/4 tank of gas at pickup...expect a response from you Payless because I GOT LESS.

it ran!Car was old & dirty, horn did not work, only had 1/4 tank of gas at pickup, a tire was low on air, wasn't really the BMW or equivalent. I would not do that again and KAYAK being a part of that does not represent you well. I would expect some type of refund. OH and it had over 210,000 km on it.

Nothing. Never ever rent a car from Payless again.Everything. We have never experienced such an impolite customer service. Not to mention when we went to pick up the car the office was closed.. We had to return the next and change our plans but we didnt get even an apolozige. They just asked what we want from them, a hug? This should never happen.

n/aflight got delayed by 4 hours, the car was not available when i went to pick it up, and no other options were available. Very poor costumer service
