Cons:

You are providing false prices, car was double the price that you advertised plus when we went to the airport they told us that the car is not available. Your customer had to stay another night in the city since it was late and rented a car tomorrow in another company. Extremly poor service provided by Kayak and Avis. Never again

There is always something that is ont mentionned on the booking. I had to block 5000 euros on m'y card. Instead To do so, i bad To buy insurance and still block 1400 euros. I tought Avis was not like those "cheap" renter.

The staff was helpful and friendly with good English ability. They worked hard to process me as quickly as possible on both ends.

Cons:

I was surprised by a large deposit "required by the non-Hertz insurance" I had purchased. That should have been communicated before I arrived to pick up the car.

Pros:

Excellent value. I have never driven a small car like the Toyota Aygo, but it turned out quite fine even going up the steep hills. Excellent gas mileage.

Cons:

Only that there was no windshield wiper liquid in the reservoir. I have already told Hertz about this and they said that they will take care of it.

Pros:

Affordable and efficient! We rented a car in Belgrade, Serbia for a road trip through Serbia, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. Car was great, check in and out was great, and we appreciated Hertz's policy of no-charge for spouses as additional driver (if you're a member of their rewards group).

Pros:

I did not pick up the car because they didn't have a car that I had booked. Tha car was so called with a failor and they didn't have another one to replace it. There I stood with my suitcases with no car! Very poor and extremely unprofessional way of doing business.

I DID NOT GET A CAR THAT I CAME TO PICK UP AND I PREVIOUSLY HAD BOOKED!

Pros:

The person working the counter found me an alternative way to rent a car but it was more expensive

Cons:

There was no car available for the reservation I made. I ended up paying more for a lesser car through a private renter which might not have had insurance but I had no choice as I needed a car urgently. It’s disappointing to see that the reservation through Kayak was worthless. Will not book car rental through this site again.

Mexcar are professional scammers! We made a reservation in the morning and I had to give up a pickup time. The default time is NOON which I selected because I expected to pick the car up immediately after lunch. Around 1 o clock we headed for the airport to pick up the car but the bus was delayed and it generally took more time than we were aware of. When we finally arrived at the car rental at 14:30 there was a sign saying that they were at the parking lot and a number to call. When we called, I was flabbergasted to be informed that they rented the car to someone else. On top of that, they informed us they would still charge the full amount from our credit card since it was written in the policy of their own website, but not on the website of the broker, that they can rent the car to someone else 2 hours after pick up time. I might have been more willing to accept if they would’ve had the dignity to call us or even send a cancellation to our email but they seemed to not care at all. On top of that, there were almost no cars available anymore with normal companies around and we ended up having to pay much more at a competitor than we initially intended. Nevertheless the competitor at least saved the rest of our holiday but the brutality of Mexcar left a bitter taste. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Pros:

Sixt employees were very nice and helpful

Cons:

My issue here is really with Kayak, not sixth. When I booked the car on Kayak I booked a Chevy Tahoe or similar. I understand that similar means it doesn't have to be a Chevy Tahoe, but the Dacia Duster that they had at Sixt in Belgrade is not a similar or comparable car. It is both smaller and weaker, not to mention the car was manual - lucky I know how to drive one but this should have been mentioned.

I order car from third party online company for very good price but on taking up car they told me that I have to pay them insurance which is doubling ordered price plus 1000 eur deposit but if I refuse to pay insurance even I have travel visa card, with coverage for rental car insurance in that case I have to leave deposit in value of car price which is totally impossible for me ( I don't have 30k to 40k for deposit). So I payd a little bit more than double than booked price. Otherwise personal was vary friendly.

so I never got car from YOU ... when I arrived they asked me for different price and to deposit 12.000 Euros ( 15.000 dollars ) for exidentals I already had my insurance ... but they tried to make me buy insurance .... so I hope you are not charging me for car I never received !

This was a scam. Once i reserved the car they changed the type (i reserved a minivan and few days before pickup they informed me that i will be picking up a small SUV). When i argued about their change they said that they never had such minivan and that this must have been a mistake on the website. Fortunately i was able to get all of my money back. Don't rent with them to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

I specifically requested an automatic vehicle through Kayak. As the request was turned into a reservation, the automatic somehow became a manual. At the time, i was unaware that this happened, since i had clicked on automatic. At the counter, we were given a manual. More on this, but no more space

My experience with Payless was horrible. I was coming from America and reserved from Kayak and Payless and when I came to Belgrade to pick up the car from Payless, they said that there was not a confirmation or reservation at all. I called a couple of days before this to make sure that everything was okay and Payless and Kayak said that everything was okay. In Belgrade they told me that I shouldn’t of reserved Payless from America and that they do not take reservations that were reserved in America. I asked the workers at Payless in Belgrade what now and instead of getting the car for 196 euros that i already reserved, I had to pay 500 and something dollars on top of already paying for a car. I am very disappointed and that i lost money and time for waiting and that I was late to a very important meeting. I will never reserve from Payless, and my business is very important to me and my family and our community.

It’s not Payless. It is Avis, simple like that. Some very nice ladies when I picked the car and some nasty people when I returned. They will charge you for the air that you breathe around them, and all that without giving you receipts or giving you the proof what they charging you for. And all that with sarcastic smile on his face. Now, for three weeks I’m trying to contact them and make complaints, four emails sent, even more phone calls made. Nothing. I guess it’s time to call credit card company and try to have money back.

Airport staff was excellent, only problem we had was that the messages we left that we would be a day late (called and texted) was not passed along and as a result our original reservation was cancelled and we had to pay considerably more for an upgraded car which was the only one available when we arrived.

We arrived to Belgrade on time, the issue was that once we get in the counter there was nobody there and we have to wait for about 1 hour (there were 2 people before us), then the problem was that the person was not able to find our booking, my phone was running out of battery and she was asking me to show her the booking id. I was expecting I just need to show my name and she would be able to find me. She had a all list of names of people who were supposed to get a car that day and I was not there. Finally, she was able to create a booking with the same rate I was given online, she went over the insurance and the deposit fee and I have to leave in case of an incident. Besides the waiting time and that she could not find my booking at the beginning everything went well. We appreciate how she was helping out finding the best rate for our booking. The car was a small but great car, very economic in gas, efficient with the A/C, and extremely clean. In general, we were pleasant with our rental.

The car was not available for me. I had to go elsewhere to rent. My original flight was was delayed for 24 hrs. The phone number listed for National in Belgrade was not working (another thing!) so I called National here n US to tell them I will be arriving one day late. They told me the car will be secured for me in Belgrade and not to worry. When I arrived in Belgrade, National rep informed me that there is no cars available since I didn't show up previous day and that they never received any messaged form National in US regarding my delayed flight. I aske for any car but they said there is none available physically. so I had tpo go find another rental place where I paid almost $200 more for rental. Terrible experience!!
