The tire was flat before I took it off the lot. But I had no idea how flat until I was out of the lot and driving away, as is proven in the pics I included of the dashboard alerts in my dispute with them. I was late to pick up my wife from the airport. At no time during the exchange- on the two phone calls I had relaying that the tire had been flat, or when I exchanged it, or even when I dropped the second car off- was I ever* told I would be paying for the inconvenience of being given a car with a flat tire. I had to put on a donut and drive the car half an hour back to Ace to get it exchanged, and then I’m surprised to be charged for that as well.Reviewed 2024 Mar 27

Shuttle service was good, the pick up took an hour and then I was told the insurance I acquired through Kayak was not good enough, plus the insurance through my credit card was not good enough, an since I didn’t bring my own car insurance I had to buy liability insurance. Car was severely damaged and bumper fell off so had to take time to go back and they repaired (glue?!) Ace refused to rent us the car after they learned we would be driving out of the State (and returning at the same location). That is an important condition; it would be good to know *earlier* in the rental reservation, not at the last minute. Easy check in and check out process. They will ask you if you want to upgrade your vehicle, SunPass for tolls, extra insurance, ect. We ended up upgrading to a bigger vehicle for $45 more for the week. And declined additional add ons. It was a good check in and check out process and will likely rent from them again. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I drove the car directly from the airport to the place I was staying, and when I arrived, I noticed that some bright pink liquid was leaking under the hood. I looked under the hood and saw that a tube was broken and fluid was everywhere. I immediately called Ace, where I was transferred 6 times and had to retell my story to each person (which was not too big of a deal). A woman named Katie finally got me, and immediately accused me of crashing the car and told me that it is my fault and either I needed to take it to a shop to get it fixed or I needed to pay $2k for them to come tow the car back to the rental agency. I told her that I did not crash the car, there was no other damage to the car, and the leak must have been cause before I got the car. She continued to tell me it is my fault and I must have done something to cause it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, who ended up being even worse. She then transferred me over to John, who was even more rude. He spoke down to me the entire time we were on the phone, and continued to tell me it was my fault and that I had to fix it myself or pay to tow the car. I asked him about the bumper to bumper warranty, and he said this obviously would not be covered under warranty. He even ended up hanging up on me. I then drove the car (which was unsafe) to the nearest dealership and asked if they could fix it and explained the situation. Everyone at the dealership was disgusted and confused, and said that they've never heard of a rental company treating customers like that or making customers pay for/perform maintenance on a car. After they looked at the car, they told me it WAS covered under warranty, it was NOT safe for me to drive, and that they could not give me the car back. The serviceman also noted that there was no way the damage happened while it was in my care and was clearly not my fault. The car dealership service man called John directly and explained the situation, and only then did John agree to send me a new car at no cost to me. (Although John did call me back and tried to convince me to pay for and take a shuttle to the airport instead of getting the car.) The fact that I as the customer was immediately blamed for the damage without the company even looking at the car until a dealership serviceman backed me up is horrific. Terrible customer service. Nobody should be treated to or spoken to the way I was. I would never recommend renting with this company to anybody.Reviewed 2024 Mar 20
