I made a reservation 2 months in advance, but when I arrived at my scheduled time to pick up my car, I was informed they didn't have the car and had to wait 3 hours until one was available. The car they eventually had wasn't the correct size, and I still had to pay the difference for a larger vehicle, getting charged more. Once I had the keys, when I arrived at my spot, the car was not there. So, the gentleman valeting vehicles found me another and told me I was good to go. When I got to the garage gate to leave, they said I needed my reservation number, which was not included in any of the email communications I had received about my reservation or written down on my paper by the agent, it was only a "confirmation" number that I had. So, I had to repark the car, go all the way back into the terminal on a torn ACL and knee brace, get the number from the agent and re-enter the queue to exit the garage. Not to mention, a gentleman behind me in line when they initially informed us there were no cars had said he was going to the same city and I could ride with him. While I'm sure he had good intentions, as a single woman traveling alone, I politely declined. I wouldn't have taken the offer even if it was a little old lady. After all, I should have my own reservation and vehicle, right? The agent still felt a need to comment on my decision, as well as share it with the other team members through the walkie talkie, and went so far as to tell me "he wouldn't have done anything to you." This company needs to figure out its logistics and stop overbooking when they clearly cannot deliver for travelers. I would have happily found other arrangements if I had just known in the first place.

Billing is all messed up. I was promised one price and then charged $200 MORE! Extremely difficult to get Payless/Avis/Budget on the line to resolve. Still not done!

The ladies at the Avis desk in Atlanta were excellent. The lady at the Payless desk was awful. Told us our prepaid reservation would not be honored. Avis ladies took care of us and sent us off to enjoy our vacation. Never book from Payless.

There was no attendant at the payless counter in the rental center. The gentleman in the adjacent counter said I should go to the AVIS desk. They handled my rental, but offered indifferent and somewhat lackadaisical attitude. The vehicle was of a class smaller (KIA K5 rather than a Toyota Camry or equivalent, (which would have been a KIA Optima)). I did not have the time to protest at the time. Then, I was charged over $140.00, when my quote was for $125.42. And finally, after drop-off I was charged over $8.00 additional for fuel top-off. --I returned that car with a FULL TANK. I think they probably overfilled on a top-off to charge me for the difference. VERY DISSATISFIED.

Person at the counter at Atlanta airport was extremly rude. She was not even behind the window but off between 2 businesses in a very low chair as if she was hiding from potential customers. The car I had reserved was not there and they had no car for me. Rude and ignorant.

Person at counter did not have a mask on but insisted Everyone in line put theirs on. She was rude and condescending with every single customer.

I had temporary license paper from NC because duplicate had not been received yet. They didn't honor my prepaid rental and priceline refused to return my money. I had to rent from another agency for 2.5 times the price. Never again will I use priceline, not worth the lower price.

The car and drop off experience were both good, no complaints. Pick up was not::: 1) I was redirected from the payless counter, (a payless contract), to the avis counter 2) The first avis clerk redirected to a different avis clerk who knew how to handle a payless transaction 3) steps 1 and 2 caused a significant delay 4) price of the printed contract was higher than the amount of the online order 5) the clerk changed the contract to the online order amount 6) my credit card was billed for the higher amount, (more than the order or contract).

Payless counter was closed when we arrived (mind you it was 1pm). Redirected to Avis, but they were confused using another company computer system. Got a car then went out to get lit and it was gone. Back to the counter for another car. New car gas was not full. No one seemed to know what to do about it. Just glad the car worked out in the end.
